Stopped in here this past weekend to try some of their beers. Have quite a few beers on tap, as well as a full bar. Husband was able to create a beer flight and enjoyed being able to try quite a few different beers. Love the porch outside. Had great service. Didn't try any of their food, but the menu is unique, not just tons of choices.

Great place--extraordinary service with delicious food. The waitress sat down to give me suggestions and they were spot on. The stuffle was AMAZING. I also ordered lemonade after reading other reviews and it was tart and not too sweet--made in house. Cute place and adorable staff!

We were in Utica for the day so I did my normal search - "poutine near me" and Nail Creek came up. It was also listed as specializing in Belgian food. Neither was true but we still had a good time. The menu was pretty small. Nothing appeared Belgian but it had a good selection of bar type items. My dining partner got a shrimp po boy which came with a cup of curry veggie soup. That soup was awesome. I stole it from him and really enjoyed it. He said the shrimp po boy was just okay - nothing special. I went with the Friday special - Fish fry. I'd seen that at several places and thought it was different than what it turned out to be, not that I was disappointed. It's basically beer battered which fish (I think haddock) and fries. The portion was gigantic - my partner ate most of it. The fries were really good. The dish reminded me of fish and chips. The highlight of the visit was the door next to the women's room where we happened to sit in the back. Hundreds of sticks, many for rare beer types like one from Norway were covering the door. Visually very cool. Prices were decent and I almost forgot the beer! Great selection. We had a beautiful blueberry and a crispy apple cider ale.

Went here for the beer and walked out amazed by the food! They take pride in the very eclectic menu and even crafted cocktails with homemade ingredients. (The margaritas are really good!). Don't be shy to try the tuna poke bowl or kimchi Rueben!

We were visiting family in the area. We stopped in for lunch on a week day in early January. The place was cozy and warm on a cold winter day. My husband had the Chicken Cesar Salad, our family member had the Mediterranean Grilled Cheese and I had the Local Burger. I washed it down with a local draft beer. They had a nice selection of draft beers. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was prompt and professional. We would stop in again when in the area. The dining area was full of other patrons. Clearly a popular spot.

I tried the pork schnitzel on a pretzel bun. It was ok. The talked-about-fries were, sadly, the coated frozen stuff, and pretty sad. They need to buy potatoes, cut them and double fry them in peanut oil the way 5 guys makes them. Anything else is fair to poor. The best thing was the draft beer. They had the old Matt's premium on tap. A superb beer ! Barkeep/ waitress was perfect. Excellent personality. A neat place and would return to try their soups.

Great tasting food. One of the few places open on a Monday. Classic poutine fries with cheese curds and gravy. Burger was cooked as ordered. Nashville style chicken had an amazing flavor and perfect amount of heat. And yes the onion rings were out of this world. Not greasy or undercooked!

A true embarrassment to himself and his businesses. My family and I were there to celebrate a birthday. Some of us were in line to order food while the others sat at a patio table. We were approached by a waitress who told us we had to leave because we had a kid under 18 with us. We were bummed and she said the owner was there and she would talk to him about it to see if he would allow an exception. We've been there before on the patio with kids since the signs for 18 and over were only on the doors beyond the patio. She came back a short time later and said no we had to leave. While we were walking back to the table to leave, the owner made a snarky comment to us about never coming back and leaving a negative review. We approached him because what business owner does that? He proceeded to raise his voice at us and have a meltdown when we were being level headed and asking about the policy and asking him to check on the multiple other tables that had kids under 18 sitting at them. He stated that he couldn't have anyone under 18 in the building because of his license. There is no such license in New York State so that was a complete lie. He then told us to just get the f*** out. It's totally fine if he wants to run his business with that policy (the only one in the area), but the manner he handled the situation was out of line and uncalled for. As per the owners request we will be leaving negative reviews and never going to a business associated with him ever again.

From the exceptional beer and great food to the…read morevariety of activities and the stunning property, Brewery Ommegang is a destination that every beer lover should experience. If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.
