I would encourage everyone that doesn't use a large system to save their money and find an alternative. The scent cartridge fades in about 15 days. Our company was pressured into purchasing some of their products. After trying for a few days we decided they were too strong and not what we wanted for our company. We called the company to get this cancelled and they refused! Wouldn't even listen to my problems. The retention specialist Chris Gant was rude and acted like he didn't even care. He kept repeating the something over and over telling me i signed the contract. But in the contract they were supposed to send us white and they sent us black, so that should have been enough to void my contract. I will never do business with this company nor recommend them to anyone. I see they have no yelp reviews, but the Facebook reviews are starting to say it all. BE WARNED! Absolutely terrible to work with. Do NOT be fooled by their "luxury" brand! Their customer service has been absolutely terrible when working with us during the CVOID-19 pandemic. We kindly asked for a 90-day hold on our account as we were mandated by the government to close our locations in hot spot cities. This request that was granted to us by EVERY other vendor we work with, without question! Scentair only granted us a 30 day freeze and then 20% off our continued contract without the grant of an extension even though our locations are unable to open! But if you plan to sell your business at any point, you are going to be stuck with a huge tab without the benefit of using the product, thanks to language buried in the contract that you will sign while you are thinking about how great your office is going to smell. Good product with great follow-up. To those who left poor reviews, Scentair is a business. Businesses have contracts. Read them. As far as how long the smell lasts..., use as directed. They recommended products to me based on square footage. I ignored it and the cartridge only lasted about 2 weeks because I had it turned all the way up. I put it back on the settings my rep recommended and it's now lasting the full month. Thank you Lauren Harrity for great advice and customer service. The amount of time spent helping me find scents we could all enjoy was much appreciated. I will say I initially thought the service was a little pricy, but the amount of plug-ins and work-hours of spraying it would take to get the same effect, I made the right decision. read more

No help during CoVid-19. We have a contract and like the product. But when our business was shut down by a government order due to CoVid-19, we could not suspend our account for the two months we were closed. I will remember this when it comes time to renew the agreement. I hope the two months of payments is worth losing a customer for life. This is THE WORST company. The product is fine, the customer service is absolutely horrible. BEWARE of the contract they put in front of you without any review - it is very long, very tricky and absolutely impossible to get out of without paying an INSANE amount. My business has faced closure several times and with the covid crisis, is facing the worst times ever. Each time I have tried to cancel the contract because I can no longer afford to continue the contract, I've been told I will have to pay upwards of $3k to get out of the contract. This time, with the business completely shut down and nobody to even accept the monthly deliveries, I was told that there was no way to pause the monthly deliveries and the only thing they could do for me was to give a 20% discount for May. WHAT???? Every vendor is giving abatement and understanding for the situation small businesses are going through. If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Scent Air is the worst company to do business with. We have been trying to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic but yet they do nothing to help out their customers. While we were under a MANDATORY closure they still decided they needed to charge us and send us scent cartridges that we weren't using due to the closure. Now I have over 20 cartridges taking up space! When you try and email them it takes OVER A MONTH to hear back from anyone. Then when you get a reply it takes OVER A MONTH for them to respond to their own reply! Its to the point where I think they are ignoring my emails because I haven't had a reply in over 3 months! We own a service based business and if we treated our customers as badly as they treat theirs I would be out of business. DONT fall for their sales reps tall tales of promises they give. We started a relationship for 2 locations with Scentair in June 2020. Immediately, there were delays of install for our first location. When the person showed up, he did not know he was setting up a system and was simply there to replace the scent. To his credit, he pivoted and got it done. For our second location, it was still under construction, and there had been delays. We received a phone call from one of the customer service reps to remind us that even though the unit had not been installed we were still going to be responsible for the payments for it. When the install date was finally set, we were there all morning and no one showed. We called and were told that someone would be there the next day. No show again. We called and they connected us with the installer. He stated that he would not be there till the end of the week, and that he was in Michigan. We are in South Central Indiana. We decided to cancel at that point. Fast forward 2 months later. We just received a call that turned heavy handed that said that no matter how poor their service has been we are responsible for the contract and that we could "Buy Out" of the contract. This is horrible customer service and I would never recommend any service type business in this day and age using these types of tactics. We signed up with Scent Air thinking it would be a great way to keep our medical office smelling fresh. Within the first few days the product was causing headaches and nausea to 3 of my employees. We changed the scent. It still happened. I called to complain and to see what we could do and they mentioned trying another scent. The scent wasnt the issue it was the product. We then asked to cancel our contract. They said we had to pay a lump sum so we collected the shipments for a year in our storage room paying the monthly fee unable to use the product and we made a note to cancel our contract this month since. After a year of paying them for a product we couldnt use we were told today we need to give an additional notice in writing of 30 days so now we are forced to pay 13 months. I have been a customer of Scentair for over 3 years for our gyms in New Jersey. You can always tell a business by how they treat their customers during a crisis. Our small gym business has been shutdown since 3/16/20. Most of our recurring services that we use for the general operation of our gyms have been a huge help from the beginning of the global pandemic. I simply made ONE phone call or email request in March/April and they were able to provide a discount for services that were not used on an indefinite basis. I called in the beginning of April after I was charged for the month and asked if the company was doing anything for their customers that couldn't operate business. If my business cannot be open to the public due to a government mandate shutdown, I wanted to pause my recurring Scentair service. The best that the company offered was 20% off of May. Okay, that's fine. The catch? I had to call back by 4/20/20. How ridiculous. You couldn't put it in my notes and adjust 5/1/20 billing right then and there. You make the customer call back to request the same thing some 10 days later? So basically you were hoping that the customer never called. I have been a business owner for 10 years and manage over 600 recurring monthly accounts. If I agreed to give a customer 20% off of their next month billing, I will NOT make then call back on "date x" because that's when the billing department start processing next month's bill? So on 4/20/20, I call back. They agreed to apply the 20% off for 5/1/20 billing. I ask about June and the customer service rep said that she will put it in the notes. Nothing about having to call back AGAIN for a third request. I get billed the full amount on 6/1/20. I call customer service back. The rep says there's nothing he can do because he doesn't see it in the notes. Okay, a customer is asking for the same courtesy for June since there's still a government mandate shutdown for gyms. The rep says he can't do anything for June since June billing already went out. Okay no problem. Please apply a 20% credit to my July billing. The rep says he can't do it. There's NOTHING he can do. Unbelievable. The company decides to treat a customer like this over $20 something bucks. We have referred several gyms to use Scentair over the years. Never again. read more

I have been extremely displeased with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. They have what is supposed to be an automated billing service that does not work. They also push you to sign up for extended contracts to get a discount off of their fees. The fragrances smell very artificial, yet pungent and can offend a lot of customers who might be sensitive to fragrance. The machine is very loud, even on lower settings, and the fragrance is not dispersed well into air. I have had several of my patients inform that they would not be able to continue to come to my office due to allergies to scents. The company will refuse to let you out of the contract for any reason and would rather have you lose clients than allow you out of the contract. I would avoid them like the plague. read more

This could be no star. We are a public school and I requested service be stopped in December but we kept getting product and billed. We needed to cancel because of students with asthma and of course then COVID hit us. I recently took over as GM at a couple of gyms and as part of shaving costs seen this expensive product needed to go. To top it off, we've had complaints from members that they don't like it and also one of our managers is pregnant (she's concerned with breathing in "fumes") so it's simply a product that needs to be eliminated now. Apparently the previous GM signed a contract for a year or longer and thankfully that time frame is up. Simple? NOT. Scent Air has a NINETY-DAY cancel policy. This is just bad business practices. It's unreasonable, unfair and makes NO-sense. I can see 30-days...if they must. After all, the contract has been up for almost 3 years already and they still won't let us cancel. Beware!!!! Here is another review to add to Scent Air's growing list of disappointing reviews. This company by far has the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!! After receiving their product for almost two years we tried to cancel and they refused saying that we were in a contract (which was not true). We attempted to cancel again showing them that we had been out of our contract for over a year. We were told that we could not cancel and had to fill out paperwork to cancel. Nothing was ever sent. We ended up putting our account on hold multiple times to avoid cartridges from just showing up. We send multiple emails and made several phone calls to get the service canceled. We were constantly met with rude service and no results. We finally got in touch with Sherry Blackburn Customer Care Manager which she was anything but caring. As the lead for all of the other customer service reps she sets a horrible example for them to follow. She would not return any of our phone calls or emails, when she did respond she would accuse us as being the problem and spill out lie after lie in her emails. I could go on and on about how terrible this company is and how much time, energy and frustration we endured, but it looks like everyone has had the same experiences. Too bad they just don't get it. Some of my customers started complaining the scent was bothering them so I e mailed, called, emailed again and again. Such rude people .. They hold you hostage, do not let you cancel your agreement. Really wish ScentAir would offer a "trial" of their product prior to making a customer sign a contract with a no cancellation policy. I was excited to try this product out in my line of work however I realized quickly, I didn't really like the product, it wasn't quite working as intended and the scent wasn't quite filling a 2,000 sqft room like promised. Unfortunately, I was locked into a 2 yr agreement. When I spoke to a customer service agent and voiced my concerns, they said that in order to cancel, I would have to buy out the 2 yr contract. I immediately regret trying to save a few bucks a month and falling into a money pit. I offered to pay out the remaining months for 1 yr however they simply reduced my "buy out" by a few hundred bucks. The customer service agents claim they are willing to work with you but then only give you buy out options. At the end of the day, I do not recommend this product -- you can buy something similar on Amazon and actually own it. read more

I cannot believe that this company has not been investigated for their fraudulent business practices. I initially purchased 2 whisper home unites and when they arrived they were less effective than a Glad Plugin. After several emails and calls back and forth I finally received an email stating that my cc would be refunded and it listed the account numbers as well as the amount. Two weeks have gone by and a month since I initially tried to return and still nothing has been credited. I am embarrassed to admit that I still went ahead and signed up for their whisper pro system for mu office. As soon as the unit arrived I set it up and realized that is is almost as ineffective as the home unit so for 2 weeks now i have been trying to cancel. Finally I got a response today stating that I can cancel effective immediately but will be charged for the full yearly service amount. The contract states a specific service and a specific length of time that the contract is in effect for. How can you not have a "cooling off" period when signing a 1 year contract? As unethical and possibly illegal as this may be the contract states a service that will be provided and that service is not being supplied. I have read the reviews on here, Facebook,Google and a few others and they all say the same thing. How can this company be allowed to operate this way? read more

I'm very disappointed with scent air. I'm part of a franchise system that is going to be using scent air. My sales rep (I won't mention names) was supposed to give me the SAME contract that our franchisor had setup for us. With the pandemic and hair salons being closed. They originally said they where suspending payments for 30 days. They still charged me. I reached out and got an automation that they where busy sets with pandemic. Totally understand. They kept giving me the run around, and was told to check back in on the 18th. (So they can continue to run my card). I had to put a hold because they kept playing games... it's pretty poor business when a company would rather work against businesses that are currently closed due to a government shut down. Then work with us, it's a shame I did like the machine. The scent did go quickly but I enjoyed the smell. They aren't willing to stop payment until I at least reopen, or just add it to the back end of the contract. Then come to find out my contract is different then corporate was supposed to. I have in writing from my sales rep the terms and still no answer from customer support. I'm attempting to do the right thing and either give back my devices since I'm OUT OF BUSINESS DUE TO A GOVERNMENTAL SHUT DOWN PANDEMIC. And they would rather play games. Jokes on them. First I will start by saying that I was surprised to see all of the poor reviews. Our experience has been quite the opposite. We added scentair after staying in a resort that smelled amazing. Since adding it in our business, customers constantly mention how great it smells. We haven't had any trouble. We did ask to change the fragrance after the first few months because the season changed and our sales person took care of it right away. We've even suggested this service to some of our friends that own businesses. I highly recommend scentair! read more

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It took nearly a month for them to respond to my email detailing my concerns about my account rep not staying in touch to switch seasonal scents as they told me they would when we signed on- and after they did reply, they simply stated that rep is no longer with the company. I then asked for a cancellation of my service to which they replied (after two weeks) that I am bound by a three year contract and they will set my contract to cancel at the three year mark. They did not once at any time show concern or ask why I was dissatisfied. I honestly don't know how this company is still in business. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH SCENTAIR. First the contract you sign has an auto-renew and they send no reminders which just tells you they want to lock you in longer. How hard would it be to send a reminder 3 months out that your contract is up for renewal? I have been with them since 2013 and now things are really really tight and tough with our business. I needed to cancel this service for all my locations. They said no and If I tried I would get a penalty. WOW. Been with them for 7 years with multiple locations and they just don't care. NOt to mention you probably have to send 6-8 emails to get a response. WORSE Service ever they are just sneaky with their contracts and it's on purpose they know we won't remember to stop 3 years down the road so they auto-renew for the same amount of years knowing that. Most companies after an initial contract will let you go month to month and if you believed in your service and product you would do that. I will be filing complaints with every agency I can find. DO NOT USE SCENT AIR there are other options that just simply have better service and are not sneaky about it. read more
