I needed to kill time, and I certainly was not in the mood for Starbucks. So, I went to Scented Leaf. I ordered an iced London fog, which was great and not overly sweet. There's a ton of options to choose from, whether that be iced or hot tea and varying degrees of sweetness. When I initially walked in, I did immediately regret it because of the size of the line and anticipation that I would not be able to find a place to sit. It ended up moving pretty quickly and being worth it, but it is note worthy the volume of people that were in there. Despite this, I was able to find a seat almost immediately after getting my drink because the sheer volume of seating is rather misleading from the outside. If I lived close to a Scented Leaf, I would definitely be in attendance more because of this experience. It's like Pokémon and I want to catch all the flavors on a rather sizable menu. read more

This one is always difficult to sit inside because the students sit there all day long using their computer, which can be annoying. I love Scented Leaf! This location is right by UA with lots of tables, good for studying or getting work done. I recently stopped by with my toddler daughter after a show at centennial hall. The number of tea options they have is so awesome. I got the pistachio amaretto matcha with medium sweetness. I got my daughter a prickly pear with low sweetness. Both were delicious! We also got a chocolate croissant and it was the perfect treat to accompany our drinks. The girl who took our order was helpful and patient. The only dinosaur who loved drinking tea was the TEA-REX. Got my first drink of a Young Grasshopper and got a discounted first refill (use your original cup for a discount) of an Earl Grey Creme. I also stole sips of my crew's drinks, which were a Gusher, Fruit Bomb, The Shark Attack, Moroccan Mint, Drity Chai, and Raspberry Rose. All great drinks! It's a nice spot. Very busy but we luckily got a seat in the corner. I realize I'm not a huge fan of prickly pear but was cool to try it. Huge menu with a deep bag, slightly overwhelming but cashier was helpful. Best part is that they play minecraft videos on the TVs on the side. Like random minecraft POV of someone just living their life- breaking down trees and building stuff and mining, its actually very peaceful. When you walk up to this place for the first time it definitely has vibes that hit different. Modern meets folkmore aesthetics with murals on the outside and dreamy relaxing inside. There are so many amazing options of drinks you can get while you sit, relax, chat, and have those amazing old school coffee shop hangouts! They will also make tea blends for you to take home if what you want is not on the shelf. I personally got an iced butterbeer tea and my kiddo got their version of an Arnold Palmer. The butterbeer was delicious and flavored perfectly with hints of spice and the perfect amount of sweetness. This place is FIRE. I'm visiting from out of town, and I wish my city had a place like this that serves FRESHLY brewed tea with such a large selection. I tried the silver needle jasmine tea, bai mu dan, and dark cherry black tea. Everything was fire but the silver needle tea was JUST SO GOOD. So good I went here twice in two days. Alumni visiting campus for a career fair, had a long day ahead of me and needed the energy to get through it, the Nitro Matcha Latte (iced) definitely gave me that energy! Yes, it's by the university. I'm just spoiled by the term "tea house". To me it's more of a tea study shop. I'm sure if I ordered a latte or other speciality drink, I might have been more satisfied with my drink. But to me it was just "okay". My girlfriend had an Arnold Palmer for $5 and she felt the same. It was my first time and person helping me had no idea what to recommend it was frustrating because she was rushing me to order so I got a drink that I was forced to get due to being under pressure. She also didn't know what she was recommending beyond caffeine levels. For a first time experience I shall not return if this is the customer service that's is represented by this company. Outdated menu on window/door Quality/Quantity - Wow, I am NOT a tea drinker, but I would drink this! Great flavors, you can ask and custom probably any type of tea preference. They offer samples so customers can choose what tea they like best. Atmosphere - Student oriented, probably 90% of the customers were college students. Large indoor space, with some outdoor seating. Street metered parking - $1 an hour. There were too many choices on the menu, especially for us, who are not tea drinkers, but the team was very knowledgeable and made the process quick and easy. They also offer beer and wine - see attached menu. Service - Very patient with us, as my daughter likes to ask many questions. Price - Very affordable, I paid $3.74 1st refill = $1.10 2nd refill = Free Not sure if I just missed the sign, but customers should know that there is a ten cent charge for using a credit card. I personally prefer if you just add that to the already reasonable price, as I do not like to feel "nickel and dimed." Additionally, it is your choice to NOT accept cash. FYI - you have an outdated menu posted on your window/door with the wrong prices, I highly suggest you update and/or just cut off the price part of the menu; see attached picture (the prices are different). Always enjoy my work/study visits to Scented Leaf. This one is closest and less often than the others, I can find seating. Staff is always helpful and cool. Great internet connection, delicious drinks and ample seating. I will say that the music can be quite loud and not personally what I would listen to while studying but much like everyone else, bring some ear plugs and/or headphones and you'll be set. read more

By far the best place to study and get work done in Tucson. Drink Menu: They have a wide range of beverages, which includes coffee, tea (both hot and cold), lemonade, chai, and matcha. They also come out with new flavors and mixtures every week or so. They do have a small selection of food as well, like sandwiches and pastries. If you don't know what to get, feel free to ask one of the people who work there; they always give good recommendations. However, the best part that makes it a perfect spot is their refill policy. You get around half price for your first refill, and your second is free. More places need to implement this policy. Customer Service: Amazing customer service! You are always greeted with a smile when you come in, and the staff treat you with respect. I usually always have a nice, simple conversation with whoever is at the register. Ambiance: The inside of Scented is amazing: the seats are perfectly spaced with a variety of booths and tables of 2s and 4s, and there is usually an outlet at every table that's next to the walls. It's a luscious green color when you enter with a lot of plants, creating a breathable environment. It also has a nice aroma with good music playing in the background. There are also TV screens that are decorated as a picture frame, playing a slow movie, a YouTube video, or a live scenic picture. The only con about this place is the fact that it is extremely difficult to get a table most of the time, and you might have to wait a good while, or just choose to leave. This place has a nice assortment of iced teas and it's a big space with a lot of seating, but it's packed on the weekends. Getting in and out of the area is a bit difficult with all of the car and foot traffic. There is limited parking in front, but there is a parking garage a block away to the south. Most of the teas are from China, so just keep that in mind when thinking about quality. Also they now require a mask to place an order, but the whole place is packed with people sitting down without masks. In addition the staff are wearing cloth masks which have been proven to be ineffective. So if you really want to be safe, they should force everyone to wear an N95 mask while ordering and sitting down. Otherwise the whole policy is theatrics, and doesn't make any sense. In the time it took him to explain the policy, I could have ordered, then sat down with everyone else not wearing a mask and picked up my drink to go. No one standing and waiting for their drink was wearing a mask either, they just put it on to order. In addition, keep in mind. this whole area in general is completely packed with people all not wearing masks. But, I do give the place props for the assortment of drinks and the staff is friendly, even the guy explaining the policy to me. The drinks themselves are just okay, a bit bland, but you're sure to find something for anyone in your party here, considering the amount of options. read more

___WHAT CHANGED___ So much has changed! Shane really outdid himself growing his business. Scented Leaf Tea House (SLTH) expanded from their humble little cologne/tea shop and the new place is a legit cafe that has to be at lease twice the square footage of their OG location. And it's not just their physical location that grew. Shane significantly broadened his already impressive tea selection as well as his tea accessory offerings. SLTH now sells tea samplers and cold brew tea products. Moreover, they actually offer prepared teas instead of just the packaged loose leaf tea. All of their teas are available either hot or cold. ___WHAT DIDN'T___ The teas are still high quality. I ordered a hot Gunpowder Temple of Heaven (green tea) to go. It was fantastic. I also purchased a few ounces of Golden Fawn Oolong for home and those were quite nice. ___EXTRA INFO___ It's a cafe now. Plenty of seating. I saw a number of laptop campers studying for midterms. I did not check for available outlets, but I assume some are available. This is a nice place and I recommend this to anyone in Tucson who loves tea. I hope to return again relatively soon. read more
