We have been a Scenthound customer for 2 years and had an issue this week. Upon calling customer service, the rep was extremely rude, arrogant and condescending! I was over charged! In addition to the trial visit I requested face cleaning. When time to pay came I was charged more than the price displayed on the flyer on the desk. I questioned it and wSs told that was the member price for the service. I was so disturbed by this that I failed to notice I was over charged on the appointment itself by $10 over the trial price. I have tried over and over to contact them about this and received no response at all. I was cheated! read more

Our Australian Labradoodle absolutely loves going to "the spa". We are always so happy with our service at Scenthound. Any time I ask them to do something different, they always listen. We are so grateful to the sweet staff for always taking care of our baby girl. We have taken her to scenthound on Lee branch since her very first puppy grooming. read more

Terrible customer service! They told me an incorrect appointment time, and when I showed up at the time I was told, I was turned away because they had in their system 15 minutes earlier- and they wouldn't make it work!! Ridiculous. read more

We take Bones here once a month. They do a great job with all of his grooming needs. He had a deshedding treatment this time and there has no been shedding since we got home. read more

I brought my two babies for the first time here and I was impressed with how clean the facility is. They had different shampoo options and lets you choose. They even offered to shave my babies belly for free, he had some matting going on. They did such a great job, he smells great and they didn't leave any skin cuts. Don't come here if you have a doodle on a dog with a long, thick coat. I brush my dogs and take them to the groomer often to ensure there are no mattes. After, being a member of Scenthound for over a year and going monthly, it has all of the sudden changed. I am told no services are to be done without shaving to the skin due to "mattes." There were no mattes, so I left without any services performed, which they would not refund me for. I took the pups to another groomer and they had no issue and didn't see any mattes. I was excited and grateful that after my puppy decided to play in poop yesterday I could get an appointment so quickly --- Red Flag #1. I brought him In at 3:30 for a bath and even offered to pay extra for the blow dry. To which she told me that he would only need the kennel dry. 15 MINUTES LATER --- see pic for proof of time --- I got a message that he was drying and would be ready for pick up. I got there 20 minutes later and picked up a smelly wet dog! I reviewed them on their webpage but as a new business I believe it's important that people know the low level quality of work. I was offered 2 free months and while saving money on pet care is desirable, I would not leave my pup in their care and no windows to see what is happening. My boxer was booked on the 30th and made it with a deshedding treatment but I noticed on my email receipt that they added brush out and blow out. I didn't add a brush out and blowout. As a matter of fact when I picked him up he was soaked and the girl said to me she added a spray on him but he was wet all over. Not only that our dog has continually been shedding all over our house like he has never before. I don't believe he had been dried or brushed out. I need a refund and I want to cancel this membership I am extremely disappointed with this business. I had recently removed my other dog because groomer did not groom our poodle correctly leaving her face un groomed. I really think you all need to evaluate your business at Lee Branch because if it continues like this it won't last. PS: I had been there at another occasion and another customer wanted or poodle groomed and the guy say the poodle was severely matted which wasn't true. He then proceeded to go to the back to the groomer and came back saying not only was the poodles head matter but it's lower back side. Again totally false. Update: we have to finally just give our sweet dog another bath and intense brush out this is ridiculous. Super nice people, but I did express what I wanted and thoroughly expressed what I did NOT want. My small Maltese/Shih Tzu looks exactly how I did not want her to look. Specific asks were not met. She is even cut unevenly and jagged around her legs and on her shoulders. I called to see if I could get her in to get those things on her face trimmed up, even though she was much shorter everywhere else than I desired already. They weren't able to do that, but on top of that there was no apology. I was hoping to find a groomer in Birmingham since I'm very new to the area, so unfortunately I will have to keep looking. read more

I was unable to trim my great dane's nails after having surgery. At home it takes three of us a half hour together to trim and grind her nails. They not only had same day appointments, it took five minutes or less to trim and grind her nails; and they were perfect! read more

My/our visit was very poor& unsatisfactory. Previous to our appointment, I had physically gone into the storefront to make my appointment ahead & to ask questions... Specificallyasking about handling my elderly dog who has Cushing's Disease & thyroid issues (a 23 lb dog). I was assured that they were well-trained, professionals and that could handle my/any dog & provide the services I needed done (a bath, de-shedding blow-out & nails clipped). An hour later, I come back to pick her up & was told they got her bathed & de-shedded but only her back nails clipped. They said she threw up & was so nervous til they stopped. They didn't evendry her completely. At the counter, they offered a discount on my bill to $68.60 (from $93.)!! Clearly this was not the promotional amount posted nor was expecting for an incomplete appointment. Even though they said they completed the de-shedding blow out, it was far from done & clumps of fur were still patchy. My dog didn't look any better than before I took her in & my pocket book was def lighter! I was so upset but, didn't say a word to them. I just wanted to get out of there with my doggie. I've had better treatments done by at-home groomers PLUS better prices. Unfortunately, my elderly hubby & I will not be back to Scenthound. To the vindictive lady in the previous review who sees her dog like a child, apologizes to it, and cried because of his haircut - there are many great counselors and therapists with great reviews right here on Yelp. You probably shouldn't drive while crying, and chardonnay is not the answer. That is all. read more

We were hopeful about this place-it was closer to our home and the people seemed friendly and knowledgeable on the phone-well.... Our appointment day came (yesterday) -totally different experience than what I was told-first you can't see where your pet is going to be cared for-ours is like our child -loved and spoiled-that should have been my first clue-but trying to give the benefit of the doubt I proceeded-check in girl was rude and wouldn't listen to what I was trying to say -which was DO NOT POODLE MY DOODLE-well that should have been clue #2-he was there for a full groom-they said it would take 2 hours-that should have been clue #3-but instead of listening to my gut -I left him-hoping this would turn out ok-when I picked him up -THEY POODLED him-which was NOT what I was asking for -and he was so stressed it was sad-I cried all the way home and told him how sorry I was-and we would never go to those rude people again-I canceled my membership immediately and called them asking for the owner-who wasn't even there-they have not been open that long either-at least they refunded the money-but I'm having to go back to our regular groomer so she can fix him-his ears are uneven as well as some other issues-needless to say I would never recommend this place for anything concerning your dog-I can't give any stars because even one would be too gracious - the yelp site made me pick a star-but the reality is they aren't worth that... read more
