This is the sleaziest, high pressure Boiler Room operation. Their aggressive multiple daily emails that you can't stop. The unsubscribe button doesn't work. I've called them twice to get my email address off their spam list. Each time they tell me they've unsubscribed me and I won't get any more email spam from them. But I'm still getting their spam emails multiple times a day. These are a bunch of sleazy high pressure crooks. Would anyone want to invest money with such a sleazy business? Terrible option recommendations. Plan to lose $$$. They do not refund funds even when they say they do.

Recommendations 80% loosers guaranteed a refund of 3/4 payment had to wait atleast 90 days. I called after 100 days and they told me I only had 2 weeks after 90 days to get a refund. They refused to honer the refund. Very dishonist people. read more

Very happy with the customer service. I had not used the service for awhile and had difficulty navigating to my subscription. The customer service person, David Wirvyn, was excellent in getting me through a few simple steps and I was back on track. Terrible recommends and will not refund money as promised. They don't contest the refund they will tell you "check is in the mail"

Schaeffer's Investment Research is a fraudulent company. The "sales" staff calls up prospective clients and reports totally invalid returns. I received a call this week of a service with "1025.5% return, YTD." I have the full recording. I will be forwarding it the SEC as part of a formal complaint. Here is what the SEC says about newsletter performance reporting fraud. "Investor Alert: Investment Newsletters Used as Tools for Fraud June 2, 2014 The SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy is issuing this Investor Alert to help investors avoid fraudulent schemes that may be carried out through investment newsletters. ... While many investment newsletters are legitimate, some are used to carry out schemes designed to deceive investors. Such schemes can include: . . False performance claims - misrepresenting the track record of the newsletter's investment recommendations." I asked "Andrew" the direct question, "What are you saying the return is?" Response: "Year to date a little over 1,025%." Here are the trades reported to me. You be the judge if the claim of "1,025%" is legit. I asked for a recommendation history report (received as excerpted above) and also examples of the communications of recommendations. This was not received. 18 trades were shown. This is NOT statistically significant, even if the return percentages were truthful. Bottom line, Schaeffer is not honest and forthright in how they report their performance. Their sales people and their compliance officer do not appear to understand how to calculate and report performance. Based upon the solicitations I have received, I suspect that if one of their many services has a brief period of good performance, that is the one they will start dialing up prospects with. The one review is a joke. Probably an employee or Salesperson. I have wasted too much money with them for crappy newsletters, bulletins. alert services subscriptions etc. I am always looking for ideas. They have been in business 41 years. I started getting their daily bulletin service around 35 or 40 years ago. It was a lifetime membership. Since then stupid me added numerous lifetime services: Options advisor, weekend trader, master portfolio, weekly options countdown, overnight trader, premium trader, options under $5 and so on. Bernie Schaeffer and company used to be regularly featured on CNBC. Their top technical analyst Todd Salamone. Their picks suck! I understand the risks of trading and ignore 95% of their picks because they are often ridiculous. They try and go against the trend. I believe if you went the opposite you would do better. Their website talks about their winning trades among their subscriptions and bulletin services. Of course they ignore their losing trades aren't mentioned. They regularly recommend opening positions and within a day or 2 close them at losses. They sell client's names to tons of organizations. I get an unbelievable amount of junk via email and texts all Financial organizations (stock letters, gold, silver, commodities, bonds and more stock alert services and trading services) and eventually figured out it was them. I get bombarded with Sales calls from their rotating sales folks trying to sell me more junk subscriptions. I finally blocked them and told their chat people to stop selling my information. I fell for their many email offers. Don't pay $2000 for an annual subscription, we'll give you a deal at $395 and throw away the expiration date. I get emails from his daughter (Katie) offering big discounts and flash savings that keep getting extended. A salesperson will call and say I earned credits and I can get a subscription for $X less my credits. I ask about the offer Katie sent (CFO) and am told you can't use your credits for those offers they come from a different department. What a joke. I have seen their facebook posts about their recent picnic. They can't have more than 50 employees. I would classify them as a boiler shop; keep selling crappy subscriptions that if you follow will make you broke. They occasionally hit something right but that is rare. Their premium service has some good picks but when they miss you get killed! I have some very large losses due to stocks being put to me. I love how they quietly close positions and act like no big deal...sorry you lost 50% of your money in 1 day. Open a 3 month call position. 1 week later sell that and open a put position. They did this with NVDA in 2022 and got massacred both ways. They seem to key on certain stocks. They are located in Blue Ash Ohio (Cincinnati) where I am. I have tried to drop services and use the money toward a new one. Sure you can do that if you want to pay an inflated price. You might as well wait for another sale. Their best scam is around $8000 for all their services that they claim is worth over $20,000. The prices keep changing. Let me finish by saying I love reading their newsletters and laughing at their picks. Tech stocks have been getting routed in 2022 and they keep recommending calls. I signed up for an introductory options advisory service. Only 1 out of the first 15 recommendations were profitable. They are supposed to be the "experts." When I asked for a refund of the unused subscription they told me it was not refundable and they knew it was a lousy introductory service, but if I paid thousands more I could get a "better" service. Customer service was unresponsive. They were not interested in servicing existing customers except to get an upgrade to a more expensive service. Why would I spend another dime with them after being treated so poorly? It is a high-pressure sales shop much like depicted in the Wolf on Wall Street movie, not a reputable advisory service. Unfortunately I have done business with them. I buy a program, and then I get the same advertisement again and again, thinking that the order did not go through. Then I get a letter from Bernie Schaffer, the owner, telling me that I have one more day to get in, this deal ends today. So I believe that my order didn't go through. Any other newsletter refunds the money if you are charged twice for something, but I was charged 3 times, thinking that none of the charges went through. They phone to "help" me instead of just refunding the money. This is not a refundable program, but I'll give you a credit, and offer you this new program it's $2,000 for one year. That's $1000 more that I paid for a lifetime program. I can't help but going over the top, they make my blood pressure go up tenfold. Don't do business with them, ignore all there "special lifetime programs" Cheap, but no good. I explained that I thought that the order did not go through ( credit card companies are hesitant to allow high dollar charges go through, but they insist that this is non refundable.) This firm has a staff of "used car salesmen" types that are very good at talking you into their highly profitable service. It's not true. They are totally incompetent at trading. Want to lose lots of money? Sigh up with any of their services and you will. They won't show you their detailed trade history. They just say they are up by some unbelievable percent. I would rate this group lower if I could. I paid $5,000 for their program. Within 5 days, every trade I took lost money. I tried to get a refund, but they told me "no". Then I entered a trade, $5,000 of my own money, the trade was up over 100%, they didn't tell us to close the trade, so I lost the 100% profit and lost my $5,000 investment. So basically, that trade cost me $10,000. That was it! I contacted my credit card company and contested the charge on my credit card. After 3 1/2 months, the money was credited it back to my credit card. While this was taking place, I watched the trade signals they provided. I was amazed at how many "close trade" to preserve capital (meaning the trade was losing money) was sent to their clients. I would run from this company! read more

I highly recommend Scheaffer's Investment Research company especially if you are just getting started with Option trading. They offer quite an array of programs to fit your needs or style. The staff is right on point when it comes to information and explanation of the how's in stock trading. I signed up with them quite a while ago and didn't give them much mind until I was in touch with Ryan Bianchi. He made a few suggestions on trading strategies to which I was able to implement them in my portfolio with confidence. If I felt unsure or needed an explanation about anything, all I had to do was put in a call, and if he wasn't available someone else would at least offer to help me. I know, I can be a pain sometimes and it can take several attempts for me to finally "get it" since my motorcycle accident a few years ago, but Ryan has stood by me and been most pleasant and understanding of my personal situations well as "life" issues and allowed me to be in control of what I thought were my best options. Don't get me wrong though, He would discuss with me the whys and why nots so I could have an educated outlook as I move forward with confidence in my trading and well as the willingness to answer my calls for help in a timely fashion. I hope to continue to have a long and prosperous trading career with Ryan and Scheaffer's. I've come a long way, and I've watched them grow as well over the last few years. I ordered a one-month trial subscription from Schaeffer's Investment Research in May 2020 and received their recommended option trades. I acted on them and 90% of them lost money. The advice was terrible. Then 8 days later they charged my credit card an additional $495 for their "services". When I protested that I never agreed to that and asked for a refund, they claimed that it was all in the on-line contract I executed. They refused any kind of a refund. Beware of these rip-off artists. Once they get your credit card number, they charge the heck out of it. read more
