I've probably been to a dozen Cougars games in my life, most of those thanks to free tickets I won from grade school reading programs. As an adult, I've attended dollar beer night and returned years later with our two kids, both enjoyable experiences. The ballpark is easy to find on Kirk Rd in Geneva. One could make the argument that I'm double dipping, since I wrote a review for the Cougars' stadium (Northwestern Medicine Field) back in Sept '19, but does anyone honestly care? The Kane County Cougars baseball organization is a separate business listing, so SHHH! My wife and I brought our kids here for a Sunday afternoon game in July, and I'm glad we paid the $15 for premier parking so we didn't have to drag our wagon for god knows how far. Entry was easy and we set up our lawn chairs & blankets on the 1st base side near right field. For lunch, I got two tamales w/elote from a food truck parked inside. The kids loved their Dippin Dots - their first encounter with the "ice cream of the future" - and my wife got a hot dog w/fries. With the heat eclipsing 90°F, I had no problem downing several draft beers from a nearby kiosk. As we exited, a staffer handed out popsicles which was a nice treat to have on the way to our car. They have fireworks after Friday or Saturday games plus bobblehead giveaways and themed nights (Star Wars, Bark at the Park, even Bluey!) The Cougars marketing team gets an A+ when it comes to promotions. * TL;DR * Cougars games are all about family fun and chill vibes. Tickets are usually dirt cheap, and this is an independent professional league (much like the Chicago Dogs near O'Hare Airport), so it's not like any of the calls matter as much as they would in a bonafide Major League game. Also, general admission lawn seats are too far away from the action for any fans to legitimately argue balls & strikes. I definitely recommend attending a Cougars game; there's lots of things for kids to enjoy while grown-ups will appreciate the reasonably priced concessions and other low-key features of the ballpark.

Over the past few years, especially since the newer staff has taken over, there has been a noticeable improvement in how the facility operates. Everything is organized, communication is clear, and the scheduling process runs smoothly. You can really tell there's structure, accountability, and pride in how the center is managed. We've used both sides of the facility -- the basketball courts and the turf fields -- and have had positive experiences on each. The basketball side is well maintained, clean, and set up efficiently for games and training. The turf side has also been excellent for our programming, giving athletes a quality surface to train and compete on. Having access to both types of spaces under one roof makes it extremely convenient for organizations like ours. The remodeling has also made a big impact. The updates give the center a fresh, modern feel, and the improvements create a better environment for players, coaches, and families. The facility feels more welcoming and professionally run than ever before. We truly appreciate having a reliable, well-managed space to host our program and look forward to continuing our partnership with Schaumburg Sports Center for years to come.

Coach Dennis is doing a great job of keeping our families up-to-date with options and we were super excited to see Coach John and Coach Vince back on the ice! If you're looking for coaches who remember your kids names and individualize their progress and assessment... this is the place. From a cost standpoint, this club is a little more expensive than some in neighboring towns, but the facilities and coaches are worth the added expense. For those concerned about COVID protocol, all the coaches wear masks on the ice and there is no player contact for the squirt and mite skill sessions. Right now, there's no in-house league, which is understandable, but sad. We hope that there will be progress toward that end in the future. It's hard not to get a Chicago dog to eat while you're warching the Chicago Dogs play, but those are only okay at this venue, so I would suggest splitting one among your group as a sort of appetizer and ordering something else for your actual food there. And of course, beer. Seats are comfortable, and the size of the stadium makes everything easy to get to. Less than thirty seconds from a front row seat to a bathroom. Which were still decently clean in the 8th inning. Yes, they have adjacent parking for $3. But the last time we used it, it took us nearly an hour to exit with the traffic management situation. So consider the real cost of $3 plus a little piece of your soul that you will never get back. Since then, we park in one of the nearby structures. If you park just across the highway by all the restaurants, you can stop in for a bite to eat or a drink and get the $20 charge validated down to nothing. That parking is about a fifteen minute walk to the field. But it's an easy walk. And walking past everyone sitting in their cars at the Impact Field parking structure, knowing you are a free human being-- well, that is priceless.

There were lots of people there and we still didn't have to wait that long to get through the course. There's plenty of seats if you get tired along the journey. I saw a sign where after 7:00 p.m. it's 18 and up. I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this place a try it was only $8.50 a person to play miniature golf. They have gambling machines and also areas where you can practice putting and hitting the ball. Looks like a lot of fun if you're looking for some entertainment come over here and check it out.
