I have visited this office on two different occasions within the past 6 months. I wasn't sure what to expect as I've had bad experiences in the past with other Dermatologists. I can tell you that I walked away impressed with the level of service that the entire staff showed me. They were all outgoing, nice and made sure that I was taken care of in a timely manner. Besides that, Dr. Singri was a pleasure to deal with. The recommendations and prescriptions were "spot on" and help alleviate my skin issues in a very timely manner. The support staff is incompetent. After filling out all my personal information on line and the reason for my visit, they didn't know anything about me like new or existing patient and wanted me to fill it all out again. They send you a Notification of Appointment email, which is fine but it says that they want you to have a credit card on file and they expect you to "click to confirm" that you are agreeing with this to verify the appointment. I did not click to confirm and when asked for my credit card I told them that I would not give it to them to keep it on file because my wife had her identity stolen about 10 years ago from exactly the same thing, but I would be glad to provide them payment with a credit card at the time of service when they needed it. They told me they would have to cancel the appointment in that case. These doctors offices are notorious for having lousy firewalls, they get hacked they have all our personal information including our credit card numbers and who suffers the consequences? The next thing you know you have a woman half my wife's age running around central and southern Illinois on a buying spree with your credit card. read more

He is excellent, very thorough when he's examining and doing skin cancer checks. I've been coming to this office for many years. I've also seen Dr Namisha Singri for a procedure on my lip. She is very friendly, personable and does a great job. They are both very knowledgeable and keep up on new, safe innovative approaches in the dermatology field. I was referred by a friend to this clinic. When I was there, the office and exam room were clean; the front desk staff was kind and professional. However, the same cannot be said about the male doctor I saw. I do not recall his name now but he was extremely arrogant and rude. It definitely wasn't expertise that I was misreading as arrogance because he was saying things that were clearly not factual. I even went to fact-check him on his assumptions later when I was home. I went to PubMed and read a few studies and his science and etiology were incorrect. I kind of got the vibe that he didn't take me seriously because I am a woman. It was very odd. I do not recommend this doctor, because every person, regardless of gender or degree, deserves to be treated with respect. I hope he reads this and strives to do better. read more

Honestly, do not go here. They schedule your appointment and tell you the time, but in reality your appt is 15 mins later.... so you will spend at minimum 20 minutes waiting! The front desk is very rude, and they don't realize some people don't even get the opportunity to see the amazing doctors because they are deterring people away. I would definitely recommend this place. The doctor and physician assistant were very professional and courteous. The doctor has a pretty good sense of humor. He seemed very knowledge and genuine in his approach. The reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 is largely because of the administrative assistants. They were not horrible, but they lacked enthusiasm and seemed to be passing time. The most annoying thing was J. Landry, repeatedly placed items on the counter instead of my hand. I found it to be slightly offensive. Also, she seemed to be busy playing with her nails and chatting with her colleague most of the time. But, I spent less than 10 minutes up front, so it was bearable. read more

Just a bad vibe about the practice and whoever the doctor was, was very dissholved and dirty looking.

New pt here.. ( for my daughter ) my experience, Scheduled an appt was at 1pm. We arrived 12:40 to fill out paperwork or whatever we just wanted to be early. After a whole delma and a very nosey ,rude receptionist ( not the receptionist who was helping us) we were finally checked in. By this time it was 1:10. Around 1:45 we were finally called back. By yet another rude assistant. Didn't introduce, didn't smile, kinda looked like she hated her job. By this time I'm irritated. She finally finished her process and I asked is this how it normally is? The wait time? She responded your appointment was 1:15 with an attitude and I told her my daughters appointment was at 1pm she looked at me unamused said well the computer says 1:15 and walked out the room. Shortly the Dr. Came in he looked a little irritated himself maybe the assistant told him I was complaining. Who knows. But here are my issues. If your going to schedule someone tell them the time correctly and just tell them to arrive 10 mins early. I myself have things to do so my time is also valuable. It's frustrating to wait an hour. Also if the provider is running behind keep the patients up to speed with the time. Be apologetic. Have some empathy. The Dr turned out to be very nice to my daughter. She really liked him , straight to the point. So I guess that's all that really matters. We did schedule a follow up. But now I know cancel whatever I have to do, and expect to wait and deal with rude workers. read more

This office was recommended to me on fb and I wish I didn't waste my time and money. A lady (a nurse?) who came in first to ask all the questions was rude and made a comment that I shouldn't bring my 2 toddlers with me (well, I cannot leave them at home by themselves and if I had someone to watch them I would come by myself, obviously!). Then I saw a male dr who was really rushing the appointment, looked at my scalp for literally 1 second with a flashlight, misdiagnosed me with a dandruff and prescribed me a shampoo. This is a great place. Very great customer service staff. I had a lot of DPN on my face and neck and they were able to removed them without damaging my skin. Sonal Patel she is a wonderful physician. She has been very patient with me and make sure I am comfortable and happy throughout the process. I can't thank her enough. Absolute lack of understanding on how to properly operate a business. Made an appointment for my husband for a follow up after his initial appointment about 3 months ago. Upon arrival, in which only he was allowed to enter the doctor office due to covid, he was immediately asked to make a payment. Since I had his wallet, he phoned me to ask me to come pay so he could begin his appointment. Given the fact that we have a baby, and he does not drive, I asked if he could pay following his appointment since the baby had fallen asleep in the car and I was driving around, no longer near the office. Apparently, the receptionist continued to harass him for payment (copay of $20 mind you) in front if the entire waiting room, making him embarrassed. He kept explaining he was waiting for his wife, to which he was made to look a fool. After speaking with the office "manager" her only response was that it was their policy to absolutely only accept payment before the appointment. What difference does it make? And if that is the policy then why wasn't that the case during his first visit 3 months ago? Also, after having explained the situation you have absolutely no compassion and use a cookie cutter statement like "well thats our policy"? Yea...never going to these nincompoops again. read more

Very disappointed...I was seen by Sara approx. 3 years ago. She performed botox for underarm hyperhidrosis. I called to make another appointment (first visit if I remember correct paid over $500), they no longer provide that treatment. Suggested that I come talk to Sara regarding other treatments, when they called to confirm my appointment they informed me they will be charging $180.00 for a consult fee for a returning client to discuss options because they no longer perform the original procedure. read more

I have met with Sarah Mahoney, the PA-C, twice now. I met with her today, and she was extremely diligent and professional. She is intelligent and personable. I haven't met any of the other providers, but would recommend the practice based on my experiences with Sarah as well as the office staff. I can see from other reviews that this office may not be giving the right info to it's patients. I, too, went in for minor skin issues, was told it was covered by insurance, then I get a bill for $500. I did have a decent conversation with the business manager pretty much putting the blame on me, which I accepted. In learning my lesson with dealing with Doctors offices, I did ask her to at least counsel the staff to be more forthright with future patients, she said that was not their responsibility. read more

I've called this office to make sure they accepted my insurance before I made a appointment with the doctor regarding my psoriasis. I told them I could not afford to pay anything since I'm on disability and I was assured they would accept my insurance and I would not have to pay anything out of pocket. 3 months later, I received a bill for $180.00. I spoke to a very rude receptionist and she didn't want to hear what type of problems I had and they wanted the $180.00. I refused to pay since I don't have that kind of funds. Dr Nimisha maybe good but hair removal didn't work after spending 1k for 6 treatment plus additional for "maintenance"so more money but hair never went away not even 70%. My other friend who went somewhere else had great results.wasted money and in the end she says nothing she can do I just have to shave. You would think they would have refunded me now I'm stuck with shaving and she recommended the electrolysis would not work. They have no picture of me from first treatment. So can't compare but I know what I had and still have it. Very disappointed Thanks Victoria for your response but sorry if after 9 treatments the hair loss is not less I should not have to do maintenance that is absurd. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy my experience here. The receptionists/office assistants lacked enthusiasm and barely smiled, if not, at all. I stopped myself from asking questions or continuing on conversation because I didn't want to seem like a burden or upset them further (I'm telling you...they didn't smile, so I thought they were upset.) Basically, the atmosphere during each of my appointments was a very "quick, let's get this appointment done and over with so I can go do something else" type of thing. The doctor I had didn't smile or speak at all, unless she was talking about my skin problem, so I felt kind of awkward. No joking, no nothing. Just straight to the point. The appointments lasted about 15-20 minutes, which was good because it was quick and to the point, but I didn't really like the atmosphere or the lack of communication the receptionists, assistants, and doctors all seemed to share. Also, I was prescribed a shampoo that cost $90. I came for a skin problem, she referred a drug store lotion, and then she prescribed me a shampoo. Of course I didn't buy it, but I'm still confused...sigh. I probably won't come again. read more

Went here based on a referral from a post on FB. The NP was good, however they said if my insurance did not cover the cost of 2 skin tag removals it would be $75 each.... total of $150. Then I got a bill for $280.05. Tried calling several times and left messages- asked the VM to leave me a detailed message WHY I was charged so much- the billing lady never left me messages as I requested. Only said hi it's ???? I had a bad experience with the doctor in this clinic. Dr.Singri would just try to do numerous tests and would make you come to his clinic several times,which wouldn't cure the skin infection. At the end of 1 year he would recommend me going to another loyola hospital in Chicago for extensive tests. I would highly NOT recommend this clinic for anyone. Stay away. read more

I had my first skin check today with Dr. Sonal Patel. She is AWESOME! She's so friendly and sweet. I was a bit nervous because it was my first time and I have a family history of melanoma. But she was so easy to talk to and it was not scary at all. I will definitely be seeing her more often (if need be) and she's great. I'd recommend her to anyone who's looking for skin care! She is so helpful, and gave me good tips on how to stay on top of my skin care. Sun block tips, etc. I highly recommend!!! read more

Update: the office was open today and I did not have to wait until Monday. I'm still annoyed...here is why: I received a call this morning regarding my voice message. The office contacted Walgreen's to rectify the Rx matter. Verbal instructions were given to the pharmacy instead of resending it electronically. Kudos! I was informed that today was in fact Thursday and not Friday. Oops, my bad. Sorry about that. I was told that sometimes not all electronic submissions are received. This is NOT my problem but it was fixed. I received a status from Walgreens that my Rx was ready and that my total was over $700. Yikes! I called the dermatology office as I needed something more cost-friendly. Turns out, Walgreens was at fault and didn't process my insurance. Okay...I get that. After this was resolved, I was told that my yelp review was received and they wanted to inform me that my comments were false. Yes, I didn't have to wait 3 days until the office opened as I am mentally on Friday but it's technically Thursday. Again, my bad. Here's the kicker...I was told that when the office sends an e-Rx that it's up to Walgreens to accept it. So as far as the office is concerned, they did what they were suppose to do, and what Walgreens did wasn't their fault. Okay...so knowing that some e-Rx's are not being accepted by Walgreens, then who is responsible for ensuring that the Rx is accepted? I'm giving this office 3 stars. They did work quickly to resolve my concerns but I don't appreciate being told that my experience was false when there is clearly a communication issue with some of the e-Rx transmissions to Walgreens. Clean and modern facility. Conveniently located near woodfield mall. Cons: co-payment must be paid before getting service. My Rx was sent electronically to the pharmacy, but after calling to check on the status, the pharmacy never received it. More hassle for me.
