Some of the information they give out is inaccurate, like the wagon hearse having taken the OK Corral victims to Boot Hill (this wagon wasn't built until about a year after the shootout), but there's a lot of history here to see. Do a bit of research on the actual history of it and you'll have a great time. The tour guides are a lot of fun!

It is worth walking to the museum if for no other reason to take a selfie with the building in the background - it is truly a gem. The inside has old creaky stairs and lots of memorabilia - it generally takes us almost hours to make it through everything. Don't miss the gallows out back (see photo). The museum does not focus on the shootout, so if you are looking for a ton of stuff from that you might be disappointed, though there is a small exhibit that describes the events of the day. Worth the stroll a block off main street and the price of admission.

***Please note this review is only of the structure, though lodging is available, as well.***…read more We just had to stop along Fremont Street on our way out of town to visit this structure that purportedly housed Wyatt Earp for a time during his residency in Tombstone. If so, any Earps on the porch during the McLaury/ Clanton funeral procession may have, indeed, seen the hearses pass by on their way to Boot Hill. (The type of collision between cinematic fiction and historical lore that I just love to ponder.) The modest structure and grounds are in good repair and match well with similar little dwellings throughout the area. Adjacent to the house is a statue of Tombstone's most famous lawman surrounded by a low wrought iron fence. The property itself is enclosed by another white picket fence, and there's even a horse perpetually hitched in the front yard. (A tribute to Wyatt's racing horse, Dick Naylor?) Barriers do not impede visitors' ability to view or photograph the space in its entirety from multiple angles. If you have visited Tombstone, you know that high walls or barriers obstruct many attractions from those unwilling to pay a fee (i.e. the O. K. Corral gunfight site, Rose Tree Museum, Bird Cage Theatre, etc.); this is free! Apparently, the house can be booked as lodging accommodations, so I doubt there are any public tours due to interior modernization and the comfort of guests. For this reason, I appreciate the proprietor's willingness to accommodate the history buffs and looky loos (like myself) that undoubtedly trudge around the site's periphery daily. It's a nice little quick-stop with some exceptional photo opportunities.

I expected to see what Tombstone may have looked like in the days of Wyatt Earp but with the shops and the changes so you have to pay to see anything, the vibe was just not there. I also expected to see people dressed in period costumes, but nope. Others have commented about how you have to drop $10-$12 to see a gunfight then pay again to see a show, then pay again to see the mine, then pay again to see something else, it adds up quick. And walls were built so you can't see anything without paying. Old Tucson seemed more realistic. Is there anything surviving from the Wyatt Earp days? Maybe, but with fires and renovations over the decades, I'm not sure what. We enjoyed seeing the RoseTree, and the Cowboy Coffee shop and talking to the slacker. (The third brother) The food was good at the saloon. Then we were ready to go.

We found out about the Rose Tree Museum from the owner of the nearby Cowboy Coffee place. He has a…read morefamily connection to this place, but although maybe not objective, it was a good recommendation. If you bring your coffee cup from Cowboy Coffee you get a dollar off the normally six dollar admission price. However, even without a dollar discount, this stop is very worthwhile. There are Yelp complaints about a rude person who was collecting tickets, but we encountered a very hospitable woman, so maybe that guy is gone. There are three period rooms that are worth seeing, but I enjoyed the other displays even more. They have a lot of family artifacts from the gold rush error, including my favorite, an assay scale used to measure gold dust. It claims that it can measure the weight of a pencil mark on a piece of paper! Another interesting item is a check made out to the very not politically correct "last Chinaman in Deadwood." There are period guns, dresses, elaborate locks, and many other items that really are museum worthy. The namesake to the museum is the rose tree in the courtyard. Or more accurately, the rose tree and the court yard are synonymous, because it covers the entire court yard. It is supported on a giant trellis, and it was planted in 1895. It's enormous and it was in bloom. Honestly, this place is more interesting than it looks on its website. I recommend a visit when you are in Tombstone.

The extremely rude ticket girl said, well the website says subject to change. Websites are not that hard to update on a regular basis. Plus, since it seems to be a seasonal thing, maybe say "different hours in March/April, call ahead." So, if you want to see this gun show, I suggest you call. We could have waited until the next show, but the ticket girl was so rude and unapologetic, we chose not to. Luckily, we were able to see the historically accurate Saloon Theatre gun show across the street instead, and the people were much nicer.

In the small museum in the back, an orchestra frog band lined up with instruments while music and different lights flashes. It's weird to look at it but cool at the same time. Also there multiple uncanny artworks​​ displayed in the museum. The shop itself is unique and you can find unordinary souvenirs. The staff is​ very friendly and welcoming. When you are visiting Tombstone, it's a place to visit to buy eccentric art pieces.

BEST STORE IN TOMBSTONE !!!!…read more Honestly, I have to say I had a great time in this store/museum. This is a profound collection of multi-culture oddities! The staff who I believe were the owners, were fantastic! They were personable and knowledgeable and took great care in wrapping my delicate items (I purchased a fully articulated bird skeleton in a delicate glass case as well as a taxidermied furry bat) as well as some odds and ends, crystals, Buffalo teeth and some AMAZING buttons ! Marshall Applewhites "Beam me up"! Baaaahahahaha! Everything made it back to San Diego with no problem ! They also gave me a few free incense sticks and a tombstone sticker. I can tell that the owners absolutely love their store and one even commented that it was his dream to have this place. The energy is palpable and gratitude is genuine. I also appreciated hearing the gal very lovingly dispel stereotypes to a curious customer regarding voodoo/witchcraft and energy and spell work. The passion is noticeable. The bar and flooring on one half of the bar are the originals…read more They did a great job restoring everything (there was a fire that took out the top floor of the old Grand Hotel). You can sit for hours and take in the pictures and memorabilia (we did haha). There's a gift shop down stairs near the old mine shaft (they're pretty expensive but it's a neat shop.) We were there for an early dinner. The big 24oz "Big Ass Beer" is only $10! I had the Tombstone Tea (basically an spiked Arnold Palmer - very good!). We shared a burger. It was big! Well cooked and plenty of fries. It was karaoke night. We didn't participate but there were some "regulars" who sang. Very entertaining!
