On December 23 I went to Schiller's to purchase a camera lens for my wife for Christmas. I was quickly greeted by a salesman name Tim. I told him that I knew nothing about cameras whatsoever and that I was looking for a lens for my wife. He brought out two lenses and I settled on the more expensive lens that would auto focus. Sigma70-200 F2.8 OS He was very professional, courteous and I believe he was showing me my best option. At no time did he say that the lens was used. I did think it was odd that it didn't have a box but had absolutely no reason to believe it was a use lens as it looked perfect. The lens with tax was $818.30 He also said if she didn't like it to return it. Yesterday the 22nd we went into the store and was greeted by the manager. It was then he pointed out to me that I bought a used lens as it was on the receipt and that I only had seven days to return it and if it was new 30 days to return it. He then said that they would buy it from us for $500 and that was a great deal for her to be able to use the lens for 30 days for only $250! He told us to sell it online! No other options were presented!! We kept it and left. This was an $818.30 lesson for us. I believe the advice that they gave us was great and that's the reason why I gave it three stars however they will never sell us anything again! Ever! Look at your receipt and ask questions before you leave. By the way, I sell over $100 million in wholesale gutter material every year and if I treated my customers this way I would not be in business! read more

You know what? I expected a bunch of elitist/know it alls....what I got was a bunch of engaged enthusiasts that were as interested in my having a good experience as I was. Paul McAllister was my salesman. I had just bought a Canon 80D elsewhere and was looking for a Manfrotto tripod with a fluid head. We went through two or three tripods looking at the best one for my camera size....I was going to go for the more expensive one, and we discussed portability and some other features. I ended up with the less expensive one, and a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM for Canon that had just come in that day USED. I had a problem with the Manfrotto tripod after using it for a month....brought it into Paul, he showed me how the stop screw on the head had moved and that I needed to adjust it.....he did that....handed it back and that was that. Paul is also a professional photographer and showed me how to use the lens on the spot and walked me through the evaluation of it. This company has a depth of field in the sales staff that is head and shoulders above the rest!!!! read more

Schiller's is my choice for all of my photographic needs! They have a great selection of cameras, lighting and accessories. Schiller's has always been there to answer my questions and help make me become a better photographer. In my opinion, they are the only place to go when you need a new or used camera or anything photographic. They have a good used selection and are very quick and fair on trade in equipment. This place is awesome for rentals! I have been renting from schillers for a couple years and they have a great selection on lenses. This enables me to borrow high end lenses without shipping or waiting. I will be coming back every time I have a high end shoot. read more

Company is joke. Had the phantom 4 on their website for 1,199.00. Then when I went to purchase the product they said it was 1499.00 and they would not warrant their own mistakes. Piss poor business ethic. read more
