We had a very satisfying lunch here- thin crust chicken maple bacon pizza that was delicious. There was definitely enough for 2 people. The salad was plentiful, fresh and also satisfying. They do not offer flights of beer, but offer small glasses (my husband thinks 6 oz.) of different beers for the very reasonable price of $3 a glass. Service was good . We enjoyed sitting in the outside area overlooking the Ammoonosuc River. We would definitely go again.
This spot is such a vibe. I've only been twice, but each time has hit the mark and then some. If you like chill staff, bomb thin crust pizzas, a solid beer list and the outdoor atmosphere specifically during the cooler months then make this one of your visits. We'll be back for sure.
Had 2 hours to spend at Schilling with my husband a few months ago. I didn't realize getting to Schilling was going to be so steep. Walking or driving towards Schilling is on a hill but Schilling itself is on less severe of an incline. I bring this up because we parked on the main street and walked down. I have some difficulty walking so the hill is top of mind for me. We were starving so opted to go to the pizza restaurant because we couldn't figure out where the snacky spot with cocktails was. We walked into a spot with a sign, but it was dimly lit and we didn't know where to go. In retrospect I wish we'd tried harder to find it because our experience at the pizza spot wasted most of our 2 hours. We sat outside at the pizza spot and were sat at a shared long wooden table with benches. The place was very busy and very filled with screaming children. We ordered beers and a pizza, finished the beers and order additional smaller pours. After seeing pizza served all around us, I asked the waitress where our pizza was and she said, "You didn't order one". She most definitely heard us order it because we watched her write it down and my husband and I commented on the fact she didn't look at him once. She said she'd put it in as a rush, and because we were starving, we agreed. The pizza was good but overall super disappointing situation all around. We then went to the tasting room for a quick pour, bathroom break and beer to go purchase. I'm writing this a few months later and all I recall is the NE style IPAs we bought in cans to go were dated much later than we would have liked, meaning the beer was brewed and canned a couple months prior. I'd expect that at a beer shop but not from the brewery itself. Anyway, I probably wouldn't go back because of the hill, lack of good parking, the space feels tight and kind of like a theme park.
Late review: Another wonderful restaurant in the White mountains region (Littleton, New Hampshire) Must try for their decent selection of beers and wood fired pizzas in the menu. Outside: This restaurant is right next to the banks of Ammonoosuc River. They also do have some seating right next to the river. Cute little hut styled tables in front of the restaurant is perfect for a date night. Inside: Ambiance is pretty & they also do have a bar area inside. I devoured a large Chicken Maple and Bacon pizza. Staff warned me that I'll finish this large pizza if I'm really hungry. Damn, he was right about that. That's what a hike to Mount Washington does to you. lol.
While being a tourist in the area I had included this spot to my list of things to do. German style beer and wood fire pizza?! Sign us up! Since visiting Germany my SO has been a fan of German style beer and he enjoyed the offerings here. He also enjoys a nice Brot and they make a tasty one - according to what I was told. I was here for the wood fire pizza. Nice crust. Chewy and flavorful. The tomato sauce has a healthy amount of garlic. Their house margarita includes roasted tomato and I wasn't sure about that, but they add a sweetness to the pie I hadn't expected. And although they say the pizza's are 'personal size' it was too big for me to eat. Maybe not you, but I was full. Our waitress was very personable and professional. Many people were dining outside in the covered courtyard. We chose to dine inside and had a view of the river. The interior is old wood and rustic decor. A single ladies/family restroom is to the right as you enter the building where you'll find a diaper station. Men's restroom is on the other side of the building. There is a bit of parking on the hill above the building (no fee) but you may have to park further away and walk a bit. There is a handicap parking spot on the hill closet to the building - with a steep hill down (and up again) just fyi.
Excellent stop. Really good food Awesome ambiance. Great service. Outstanding beers. A must stop for any beer enthusiasts. Would recommend Schilling Beer to family and friend CHEERS
A trip to Littleton requires a visit to Schilling Brewery. My margarita pizza was excellent as was their Schlomeyer beer to wash it down. Service is always friendly and we prefer to belly up to the bar. Indoor and outdoor dining available. We need to be prepared for their Oktoberfest which one must experience.
Beers Co right by the creek. There are lively views if you are lucky enough to snag them. It's a little confusing where to go as there are two Schilling beer co and one called Mill Street Kitchen. I think they are all connected and the menu looked similar. We found a host stand and got sat in the outdoor picnic tables. Super cute. There were a lot of families, friends and couples. A good mix of the crowd. Hubs got a Sapa a Vietnamese lager. He liked it. Im more of an ale or cider girl. Not much offering there. I got a Stowe Ciser that was DRY. I Didnt care for it. But he said it was ok. I should oay more attention to descriptions. We got 2 pizzas, the loaded and maple bacon chicken. Both were great but we leaned more to the maple bacon chicken. It had a really delicious balance with the bacon, apple and sweet maple. Really good. Overall, great.
My post-hike routine is usually burger and a beer. But day 1 we had an event potluck, and day 2 I was headed back home. So if I wanted my food, I was going to have to put in a little effort. Here's how it went: I stayed in North Woodstock. I hiked in Lincoln. I live in NJ. So to go to Littleton I basically had to go north then drive back south. But baby one thing about me - I'm committed to the bit. So off I went! Plus it gave me an excuse to consume all the beauty that is Franconia - twice. Now, North Woodstock has breweries. But the reviews were meh - and strictly betwixt us - the call of "NH's finest bbq" and brew wasn't doing it. In all my days I ain't never heard NH mentioned with the BBQ greats :/ I'd only been to Littleton once before and that was just to go to Wal-Mart and use the flush facilities of a local hotel - A cabin I rented two years ago for a girls getaway was EXTREMELY rustic much to my companion's horrror lmao. I had no idea Littleton had such a cute and vibrant downtown. Schilling Beer fit right in! Located on Mill St it was a New England covered bridge type beat. There was a sleek taproom and brewery perched on the hill, and the restaurant on the corner. There were copious picnic tables set up outside - many of them shaded under an awning, as well as a covered deck with tables, and a woody restaurant interior with a bar, bar height tables, and booths. I opted to sit outside at a picnic table. The Great: -picnic tables were super sturdy and rooted. Nothing worse than having to play the seesaw game at a cheap table. One person gets up and so does the table lmao. -the menu. Not only did I NOT want NH BBQ from another brewery, I actually came FOR the chicken maple bacon pizza. Let me explain something to you. You can put maple on roadkill and I'll eat it do you hear me?! So a pizza with maple?? I'm in. It was so good. The spinach cut through the richness of the cheese and maple. Unexpected and delightful. I do wish the bacon was crispier though. Next time I'll request that. They also had a Gose on the beer menu. Someone there really understands me and I love that for them. -this is a German inspired restaurant - my German ancestry SIL was back in Chicago loosing her ish when I sent her the menu and beer list. If I wasn't my own DD, I woulda strayed from the sours and gotten a few other things that caught my eye. -you can pay at your table through a QR code. Frankly, I liked this. -Service was great! I love dining alone and this was very enjoyable. The server checked in but was not overbearing. Food was delivered quickly. Yall know how I feel about breweries with food. The food could stand on its own here, as could the beer. Best of both worlds and a new MUST VISIT any time I'm in the area. The area being VT/NH/ME because I will happily drive some miles for this again!
The views were so beautiful, beer was delicious, and the service was great. We didn't try the food, but it looked super delicious. Very spacious area with two tap rooms and all Kinds of seating options. Great merchandise selection and really friendly beer tenders

Probably one of the best pizzas I have eaten. Has creative combinations of pizzas on menu. They also had a pretzel app that everybody seemed to order. Service was excellent and taste was outstanding . All has vegetarian options which was great read more

Some of the best European style beers in New England, if not the best. There is always great selection of beer styles. The food is made with the same attention to taste and quality as the beer. The waiters and bartenders are always knowledgeable and helpful with both beer and food selections. Lastly the location, building and outside space provide great views or ambiance for enjoying your time at Schilling. We live in Connecticut but stop every time we are within a hour of the brewery. read more
Good food, great beer, and good people!!! One of our stops through New Hampshire, Littleton. It's definitely a nice little town to visit. I stopped somewhere around the town for lunch as well. It was amazing too. We stopped at "Schilling Beer" because everywhere around the town were about to be close. It was a weeknight so I figured. We stopped by this place around like 10ish. It was still a little busy, but we did find seating at the bar. We all ordered some of their beer to try it out. I told my friends that we should chug our beer for the first round. Whoever is last pay the bill. Of course, I win. Funny thing is we didn't know it was a family own business that we can't do that. Good news is that bartender or service was nice enough. Lol, I told him that don't worry we will behave, this is like nothing from what we drink. In the end, I have 4 of their beers, great tasty flavor. We also order some food to share as well. Overall, everything is great, friendly service and etc. I really want to head back there again in the future. read more

Came here for takeout, ordered the loaded pizza and poutine from the food truck. Pizza was good, crust was thin although they were a little stingy with the toppings. Poutine was good...fresh cut fries, hearty gravy and well seasoned. read more

We only had pizza and salad (with beer and cider). If you like a very thin crust pizza, which I do, it's def worth checking out. Staff was attentive without being overbearing. Plus so relaxing by the water! Not to mention that Littleton is a very charming town! read more

Perfect place if you are visiting town one evening ( I was). There are two parts. The beer tasting at the brewery and the restaurant/ bar next door. mini-pours at $2-3 a glass are perfect if you want to sample their selections without getting hammered. After three mini- pours, I slipped next door for dinner. Low and behold it had it own bar that offered speciality cider not offered at the brewery. Great job with with the wide selection of personal pizzas. My selection was steak and bleu cheese- a first but I have to admit- it was pretty good! All in all - a great experience. read more

I think the Chicken Maple Bacon pizza was the best pizza me and my fiancé have ever had. Crème brûlée was to die for and every beer we tasted was delicious. This was a true treat for us Floridians, I don't think we can express how happy we are that we stopped in here! read more

Beautiful location! Stopped here on the way to a wedding and had a wonderful time. Beer is great and pizza was excellent. Our server was great, he saw that our pizza looked a little too well done before he brought it out to us and asked the kitchen to make us a new one. It was a warm November day so we were able to sit outside on the deck but they also had heaters that kept us comfortable and warm. read more

What can I say other than that I love this place! Everything from the beer, the wood fired pizza, and the view are amazing. If you're in northern New Hampshire, this is a must stop destination, especially for the beer lover. They have such a nice variety of pizzas from standard pepperoni or cheese to ones like maple cheddar bacon! The beers are really tasty. I'd recommend getting a flight. Everything in the menu is reasonably priced. This place is a real gem with the scenery to match. read more

Being from Chicago, I am skeptical of trying pizza in other states. I had the chicken, maple bacon pizza and it was amazing. The crust was perfect. Big enough for two and so delicious! Great service. We sat outside by the river which was a wonderful view. Would have given it five stars but it was very uncomfortable hot on the patio. There was plastic on the windows for winter. No shades and the sun was unbearable. Tip: they do not serve Pepsi or coke products but the blackberry soda was very good. read more

I had bookmarked this brewery as a potential place to stop while traveling from New Hampshire to Montreal a couple of weeks ago. Funny enough, I ended up here by accident while exiting I-93 to take a break for some food off of I-93 before crossing the Vermont border. We decided to park and walk around Littleton and to my delight, Schilling came up as one of the best eateries around. ON POINT. The brewery is located on the Ammonoosuc River and has indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside because the weather was perfect. There is seating in the back near the river and also seating out front. The brewery is currently expanding to the lot next door so stay tuned for even more space! The inside was dark and felt like a lodge (which I love). The beers were excellent!!! I had the Dry-Hopped Erastus and it was on point. The food was just as good. We ordered the Ranch on Fire pizza and it was absolutely amazing. So much flavor, great crust, plenty of toppings. I'm SUPER picky about my pizza because I am from downstate New York, but this was an excellent craft made pizza. I wish I had a Schilling Beer near me!! GO! You will not be disappointed. Even if you don't like pizza, you will love this place! Worth it to take a visit if you are out of town. The locals here are lucky to have this place in town!! read more

If you love good beer, this place is a must. Great variety, I had 6 of their 18 or so beers and all 6 were very good with two being superb. I'm a fan of malty beers so the dunkel was my favorite. We had their loaded pizza and it was amazing. Our waitress was attentive and knew her beer. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, and the location of the places is perfect, right by a small river and covered pedestrian bridge. Love this place, they just need to get more of their large and medium sized shirts. read more

Great venue. Lots of interesting beers to try. The pretzel twist was delicious. Great pizza choices. And for kids the Mac and cheese is scrumptious. Wait staff was phenomenal. There is kikitwd parking by restaurant. read more
This place is heaven on earth--well even more so if you like beer. I don't mind beer, I prefer a nice dark stout if I'm going to have it--but this place has amazing beer. I'm more into food, and the food blew me away. The pizza I had was literally the best pizza I've had for years. I didn't expect it, really but it was AMAZING!! We also had the truffle Mac and cheese as well as the Pretzel appetizer and to be honest I think my mouth is watering just thinking about that Mac and cheese. Divine seriously. Whoever thought of that should be handed a Nobel peace prize because if everyone ate it they'd all be happy and there would be no more wars--unless of course you don't like meat or pork. Just don't think. Go to the shilling, eat all the food and drink the beer. read more
Enjoyed having beer here, there is a wide range on tap. Seating can be a little limited on the inside but overall still enjoyable. We had two different types of pizzas including the Chicken Maple Bacon one and they were both delicious. The pizza can taste a little soggy in parts, especially with the spinach but overall it still tasted pretty good. read more

If you're staying anywhere even remotely close to Littleton, NH this is a must! Wandered in after a day of skiing- phenomenal pizza, solid beers, awesome inviting/warm environment. 10/10 read more
