Went here with a couple friends In August. We ate outside food was great the drinks were ice cold. Great spot and I would highly recommend

Fish and chips, beer battered in house

Huge menu with a lot to choose from. Our whole group was excited to order fish and chips. We had gone a year back, and craved it ever since. Indoor and outdoor seating, and a cute grey cat comes to visit your table at random. Nice wait staff, (shout out to Montana) great pub salad, we look forward to coming back.

Fantastic! Great spot, delicious food, fun atmosphere, friendly bartenders and waitstaff. Burgers, fries and sliders are delicious

    Veggie burger.

Great food, attentive and friendly service, good beer and wine selection, spacious with no wait -- this place is everything you want in a pub. The veggie burger was flavorful and fries were the perfect mix of crispy and fleshy potatoey fried deliciousness. Side salad had some wilted greens but was overall decent. Besides, what do you expect from a salad at a pub -- just indulge and get the fries instead. Would definitely recommend for any local or visitor looking for a good bite to eat with quick service.

Delicious salmon steak with rice and seasonal veggies!!

Have been here before. The service is alway good and I love the draft beer. My favorite is the fish and chips, the burger is great.

The space accommodates all: it's bright, the shelves are stocked with local artisan wares for sale, and the service is friendly and efficient. And the food, you ask? Outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. My BLT on brioche was absolutely decadent. The plate of hand cut fries and basket of polenta fries we shared at my table went quickly. I'd return in a heartbeat!

Anyways, came back from Jay tonight and needed dinner and even though I stopped at the gas station/mart down the road and grabbed a sandwich I still felt I needed dinner (saving the sandwich for tomorrow.) Popped in and knew this was the right decision. Missed the special menu but the pesto flatbread sounded good. I went with the pot roast dinner which was phenomenal. Fell apart with a fork, vegetables were cooked spot on, and think they were deep fried mashed potatoes? That or panko covered. Ether way they were like cheese balls that were yummy. Service was excellent. The cashier had the best cheerful smile and attitude. She also served and bused the tables so she was always asking everyone one everything was. Place is inviting, I can only imagine what the vibe is in the morning when they serve breakfast. Probably will pop in when I head out of town to fuel up for the ride home. This place is definitely worth the stop not only because of what I wrote but because it's a local business and you should avoid the quick fast meal spots.

It's situated right in the heart of Main St across from the iconic steepled church and offers a wonderful breakfast. We opted to join their waitlist but they were able to seat us as soon as we arrived. Their menu has a lot of breakfast options but the jalapeño cheddar pancakes were out of this world. So tasty and paired well with the syrup! Definitely put this on your list. The interior is so cozy and inviting like you're sitting in your family's dining room!

Didn't have a reservation and there were plenty of open tables. Not a huge menu, but got a Caesar salad, little neck clams, and a side of tallow fried Brussels sprouts. They all came out at once, which was a little odd because I would've preferred the salad first. The Caesar salad was extremely large, you could easily share it between two if not three people. The croutons were good. The romaine was very white/stems though, I prefer more of the leafy green part but this was pretty much all crunch white stems. The clams were alright but I would've preferred the Cajun garlic white wine sauce, not the creamy tomato sauce they make it with now. The clams were all opened but most of them were not warm besides the bottom ones in the sauce. The Brussels sprouts was a tiny portion and very dried out. Certainly not worth the $9 for a side. They had no flavor either, it's like they had been cooked earlier in the day and just sat under the heater or re heated. Service was fine. This would've been around a 3 star experience, as I left with a pretty mediocre impression, however less than a few hours later I started feeling very sick and got diarrhea and started vomiting. I rarely vomit, I don't have a sensitive stomach. The clams must've been bad and I shouldn't have eaten lukewarm clams. This made for a horrible evening. I was excited to try this place due to the good reviews but it went from disappointing to downright disastrous.

And then there are places that make you stop mid-bite and think, "How is this here?" The Dinner House is absolutely one of those places. Tucked into the most charming corner of Vermont, this restaurant feels like a discovery -- elegant without being pretentious, warm without being casual. During my stay, the dining room was packed every single night, with real waitlists and a steady buzz that confirmed what was already obvious: people know this place is special. The food is on another level. Thoughtful, refined, and deeply satisfying -- every dish is executed with precision and heart. It's the kind of cooking that feels effortlessly confident. Honestly? This is Michelin-consideration legit. The kind of restaurant you'd expect to read about in a city dining guide, not stumble upon in rural Vermont. Behind it all is a true culinary powerhouse: Steve, the chef, and Maria, the baker. Together, they are magic. The savory dishes are layered, balanced, and beautifully composed, while the baking is exceptional -- the kind that lingers in your memory long after the plate is cleared. Their collaboration elevates the entire experience. Sunday brunch deserves special mention -- indulgent, comforting, and flawless. Come hungry, expect to wait, and trust that it will be worth it. This isn't just a great local restaurant. It's a destination. If you care about food, hospitality, and experiences that feel rare and intentional, make the trip.
