    Apricot tart and lemon mayo

Quick service, lots of locals. Plenty of seating with coat rack. Friendly staff. Burger was tasty and good size portion. Also had apricot tart.

2 burgers in menus with fries, salad and drinks and onion rings. About €20.

I'm talking about their new branch in schwedenplatz. Awesome food as usual, the design of the place is great. Love it. Great location too. Service is good. I just wish you could substitute onion rings with Pommes in a menu, that's their deserts will change a bit (the tiramisu is to die for) and I don't recommend the sweet potato fries (bad money value). One of my fav spots in Wien definitely.

Randomly stumbled upon this small vegan fast food joint. It's clean, friendly, low cost and hits the spot. Some may look suspiciously at vegan burgers. But I say, if it tastes great then the fact that animals did not need to sacrifice themselves is actually very positive. The Burger is large, good texture and flavour. The fries are also good and the orange juice freshly squeezed. I'll be back :-)

Me and my date. Vegan Cheeseburger, fries, OJ, extra for ketchup.

Cool place, bright, relatively cheap, kind to tourists (at least to me!) Eco-friendly touches = good stuff. Pretty darn delicious vegan cheeseburger. Tip- fresh squeezed OJ, do it.

I have been traveling with a non vegan friend, so I've been eating a lot of side orders and have been cooking (egad! The horror!). Then, I came upon Swing Kitchen and my heart rejoiced. Their all vegan menu has a nice selection of burgers, salads, wraps and sweets. Since I was in Vienna, I opted for the Vienna burger. It's a vegan Wiener schnitzel - breaded cutlet- burger with fresh cucumbers and onion slaw topped off with the creamiest, dreamiest garlic aioli! Yum!!!! Of course I made it a meal, added pommes with the spicy chili mayo (and it was !!!) and the House elderberry cola (aka- cherry cola). The meal was delicious!!! I added a mango cheesecake to go- all in all, it was about €15. Worth it!

It was a charming fast food joint. The staff was helpful and friendly. The servings are huge for our asian appetite but the food is great! Tastes fresh, flavorful.

Vienna burger and Kitchen wrap with cole slaw.

Amazing vegan fast food! I got the Vienna burger which is vegan schnitzel and I was expecting it to be greasy but it actually had some really nice fresh veggies (lettuce, tomato, cucumber) in the burger that made it taste great and have a bit of crunch. Of course the veggie pattie was good too. The fries are nice and chunky, order some extra mayo for them. Their mayo is nice with a lemon flavour to it. The tiramisu was also good but I was struggling after the burger and fries!

Best vegan Schnitzel in town. I really liked the salad and the G Spritzer. This is how fast food should be like.

Small is 100g from Austria, while regular (180g) and the chuck Norris (double 180g and fun name) are Angus from the US... THE US!? Why? Frozen patties aged in a storage container shipped forever... Sound appealing? It makes sense in the US, but not here. I tried the no1 at a Chuck Norris size (for fun) and regretted it after the first bite. I should have tried the 100g Austrian beef as maybe that could have a better taste. What ever happened to grinding your meat, seasoning it, and cooking it properly? Everyone trying to make more money, that's what! This is places adds itself to a middle category between McDonalds/BurgerKing/etc. and the Charlie Ps/saidTheButcherToTheCow/etc... Think it's time for my burger list. Angus was bland and tasted just like patties I bought for group BBQ's sold at Costco in bulk. Not bad, but not good either. Oh and it's reeaaalllyyyyyy overpriced. I would say the most expensive burgers in the city. Aside from the small, that might just be on par. If you have read this far, thanks!

The inside is equally well designed: cow-pattern couches and stylish chairs, nice table design and arrangement as well as a wonderful counter. The tables come with chili, hot sauces and Heinz Ketchup on them. I ordered a Classic Regular Burger with Classic Salted Fries as a side. The price was somewhere around €11 without a drink. I waited for my burger at the counter although I probably could have sat down but I chose to take the burger to the table myself. I took the seat on a well lighted table at the corner of the restaurant. The cow-pattern-pillows were comfortable to sit on. The first look at the Burger was somewhat disappointing. The salad looked sad and the bread unusual. The first bite was even more disappointing. While the meat tasted incredibly great (I really have to emphasize that) the rest of the burger was unspectacular if not boring. Tasty is something different. Trying to figure out what the cooks have messed up I disassembled my burger: meat - very good, salad - not that good, tomatoes and onions - as fresh as they could be and delicious, BBQ sauce - delicious but nearly not existent. I figured that the Burger actually was made up of delicious ingredients but the composition was bad. Let's talk about the fries: hand-cut, goldish and crispy. Extremely salted - too much in my humble opinion. Delicious aside from that. To conclude I'd say that I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at the moment unless you want to stop in for fries.

But if I were ever meeting up with someone to grab a burger, my choice of restaurants would almost certainly be Weinschenke. There is a Weinschenke in the Karmeliter Markt in the Lepoldstadt, but the one I always go to is the main branch right near me in Margareten - on the Franzensgasse. Not only are the regular hamburgers good here, they also have veggie burgers which I really like. Personally I like the vegan burger more than the veggie burger. For starters the tasty seitan patty holds together better when eaten. Both are served on polenta rolls with Erdäpfel chips from the Lobaul. And if you think burgers - beef or veggie - only go with beer, think again. Weinschenke lives up to its name and has a worthy wine selection. The Weinschenke in the 5th District is very popular so be prepared to share a table. It's all part of the atmosphere. Tip: There are a couple of outdoor tables which are great for wine sipping and people watching!

This version is a bistro so one can expect lighter fare and lighter prices. The airy sky-lit main dining room is as charming and attractive as ever and a reservation is necessary to snag a table here. A great deal here is the Chef's menu. This is five courses where the chef will serve up dishes not on the regular menu. As with all chef's tables, you don't choose. You eat what is served. Each of the five courses was very delicately prepared and tasty and I could have eaten more of each one. Thank goodness for the generous bread basket. The meal began with a totally delicious erdäpfelsalat (potato salad) followed by a vanilla and green spargel (asparagus) salad. The next course contained wild broccoli with sweet potato chips and grapes. The main course was a fantastic concoction of karfiol (cauliflower) cooked in an olive crumb marinade with a parsley sous-dressing. A pomegranate sorbet with apple slices ended the feast. Service was friendly and impeccable and I can safely say Tian Bistro lives up to its hype and is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've ever eaten in!
