Schlotzsky's was one of the first sandwich shoppes to bugeon onto the scene from Austin. Generally, I have no use for Austin, but they do cultivate good restaurants with seriously good food. Schlotzsky's is a fine one example of this. Ordinarily, I go with their smoked turkey breast or chicken fiesta. This time, I decided to go with the original deluxe. It reminded me why Schlotzsky's rose to such prominence: a balanced sandwich, bordering on excess but tempered with a hint of restraint. It is almost too good. I went through the drive-thru, so the "service" interactions were minimal, but they got the order right. In a drive-thru, that's a solid win. Again, a drive-thru doesn't lend itself to service, but even less so to ambulance. Inside, you get to see the eclecticism on full display. In the drive-thru, the fact that there was no trash blowing around is about all you could ask, and they delivered on that very well read more

We went for lunch I ordered a small Original sandwich comb meal cost10.00 dollars. It has been a while since we have been to this location. I was hoping they got better. We asked to have the sandwich extra hot. That means extra toasted. I even repeated it, and she said I got it. After we paid, she said we are out of olive. That is the one of the main flavor of the original sandwich. I wish she had told me before we paid. All I got was mustard on the bread. When we got the sandwich, it was hardly toasted. Just did not taste as good as it should. Most of the tables were also dirty and they were not very busy. I will probably give them a try again one day. I rarely leave reviews, but the service here was truly unacceptable. From the moment we approached the drive-thru, the window person was incredibly rude and unwilling to listen to our order. Things only got worse when we pulled up to the window--our drinks were missing, and out of five sandwiches, most were completely wrong. When we tried to clarify that one sandwich was supposed to be turkey and cheese only, she repeated, sarcastically, "Turkey, cheese, and lettuce? That's not what you ordered, but I'll make it," before slamming the drive-thru window. This kind of behavior is shocking and unprofessional. It ruined our meal and left a really bad impression. It's a good size location for schlotzkys and they also offer Cinnabons. I was really thrown off by the new pizza offerings, $5 after 5 Friday - Sunday as well. The pizza actually wasn't horrible either. A pan pizza cut into those old school highschool pizza shapes gave me flashbacks . The place was clean but for being the only customer it took a while to get out two sandwiches and one pizza, about 10 minutes after ordering. It seems like there's been a staffing change because this team is incredible. I normally would wait 10-15 minutes to get my food with no cars in the drive through. Today, it only took 3 minutes and that was with 2 other cars in line. I didn't catch his name, but I asked the guy who took my order how long he'd been at this location. He said 2 weeks at this location but 4 years with Schlotzsky's. I told him that he and his team were killing it. I got the Original Sandwich with no black olives. I have to agree with the other reviewers. This location is terrible. I had an online order. I waited in line for 10 min only to be told to pull up and wait. Well I waited for 20 min and still nothing. I had to go inside. Well they were standing doing nothing. And had forgotten about my order. The sandwiches were cold and the soup was cold. And the workers did not care. I will def not ever come back here. I'm not sure how a business can operate like this. Poor management. Employees could care less. Step it up management. Today we hit the Schlotzskys drive thru on Eastchase in Ft. Worth. We've been here several times no problem. But today we were treated terribly by a young lady with a tattooed sentence on the back of her forearm. We waited for our TWO originals. She literally turned her large backside to the drive thru window as if to block our view for some reason. We were then asked to waited out front. Of course it's blistering hot outside so we had to keep the car running. Total wait time: 30 MINUTES! With gas at 4.69 a gallon. When she brought our order I asked if the manager could give us some coupons for waiting so long. She said they didn't have any. I then asked her if she put a cookie or something in the bag for us waiting. She turned toward the store, SAID F___ YOU AND WALKED AWAY. So now, I would like to tell her manager about this before I contact the District manager, John Randall. I have never experienced such a thing. I was insulted and appalled. Does anyone know the name of the manager at the Eastchase location? Of course, we'll never be back there and if I don't talk to the manager we won't be back to any Schlotzskys. When things like this start happening at a chain restaurant it usually means it has jumped the shark and is on its way downhill. It starts at the service level. If that can't be controlled it is inevitable that quality, cleanliness, etc. will start declining. Unfortunately, the sandwich we got today was excellent. I was in the drive thru. I was the third in line. It took about 30 minutes before I got to the window. On the outdoor menu, there was a sign saying "no lettuce - sorry!" so I didn't order my sandwich without lettuce as I normally would. But guess what? My sandwich had lettuce on it. Since Schlotzsky's has gluten free options and they're close, I've really enjoyed them! I've never been much of a deli or sandwich person anyway, but lately I keep craving their Tuscan or Sicilian sandwich. The Tuscan has turkey, bacon, provolone, Swiss, red peppers, tomato, greens, cilantro, pesto, and avocado and it's SO GOOD. The Sicilian is similar but it has shaved ham and olives and no avocado. Both are pretty delicious and (for me) served on Udi's gf bread, which is consistently good. I also really enjoy the chili and the tomato basil soup. I'd say they're both under-seasoned but the general flavor is good -- I just love dipping my sandwich in soup. And the chips, too (bbq, jalapeno, and cracked black pepper are my favorites). I like that Schlotzsky's serves special round bread and round chips.. haha. Weird but memorable. Decent prices, fast & friendly service. Crunchy chips. Fresh produce on the sandwiches. This must be the Jekyll and Hyde location. Years ago used to go here quite often, but haven't been here in years. On my way somewhere and this looked like a good option for a quick lunch. I went inside to eat. Ordered pretty quick, and sat down, then for grins checked reviews. Wow, lotta hate over the years. Anyway, my sandwich came out shortly, it was made the way I asked, it was hot and good. Place was clean. It's been remodeled since my last visit, and has a station with a lot of different sauces to use, you self serve your own pickle spears, your own drinks...I dunno, seemed pretty good to me. The employee who rang me up wasn't doing any cheer leading, but she was courteous and quick. She might have been a little "surly'ish", but when it comes down to it...who cares? Holy crap people, get over it. If your food is good and comes out right, count your fast food blessings and move on with your life already. I see most of the bad ratings are a few years old. I have feedback for the Schlotzsky's restaurant on Eastchase Pkwy in Fort Worth. We just got our order and found out that the bbq chicken pizza, the California chicken flatbread, the Albuquerque turkey and the turkey bacon club on jalapeño cheese bread. However, we found two things wrong with our order. The first being that one of the sandwiches was not on jalapeño cheese bread as ordered. The second being that the bbq chicken pizza had no chicken on it. We have been disappointed with this location one or two times before but just chalked it up to an off day. Unfortunately, this has become a trend and a very upsetting experience overall. read more

I've eaten at a few of Scholotzsky's (Lewisville, Carrollton, Euless) and I've had the best experiences. Bread is always good! This location is a disgrace! I ordered my favorite Chicken and Jalepeno pizza and the bread was horrible and my shredded cheese wasn't melted. How so, when they are known for their bread? Placed a call in order not realizing that there was a service fee for doing so. My order was for 3 sandwiches, a pizza and side Greek salad which ended up being incorrect. I received a full size chicken avocado salad. My original thought seeing the size was that was "oh, nice" but then noticed it was not even the correct salad. I decided to go ahead and eat it but quickly lost my appetite when I found a large toothpick with a cellophane tassel. I tried calling the store twice but no one picks up the phone. The first time I visited this location I waited 15 minutes just for no one to come and take my order before I left. I tried again today, a year later, to wait 20 minutes after ordering to be notified that they could not make my sandwich due to not having the ingredients for their monthly special. Despite this location not being busy, only one other person waiting for food at time of of my order. The lady at the counter came out 3 different times to ask me what my order was before letting me know they could not make it and did not give me a way to fix the situation even after asking how they planned to fix it. Before being told that they could not make my order, 2 people walked out because it took too long not getting helped. Dining room usually needs to be picked up but we have always been able to find a table to sit and wait for our order. This can be kid friendly - if they like sourdough. This Schlotzsky's location was nice and clean compared to another one I've gone to. My coworkers and I came here during our lunch break. We ordered and got our food fast. They seemed understaffed but the employee that was taking orders (and bringing them out) did the best she could and was very efficient. I ordered the Southwestern chicken salad and tomato basil bisque soup. Both were delicious and the soup came in a cute little pot bowl. I guess I was confused about their pick 2 deal. When I ordered I said I wanted that deal and chose the two items I got. The employee told me that I needed to pick an item off the main menu and then one of those items. I told her I would just buy those two separately and not as the pick 2 deal since she said I couldn't. She explained something again but I was fine with just buying them both at full price and full size. I think she was frustrated trying to explain it again to me, but when she rang me up she rang it up as the pick 2 deal. Still so confused??? I don't know but I got my food and was happy with it. If I could do less than one star I would. We have spent at least $100 there this week through 4 different visits. Not once did they get our order correctly and since I order the same thing every time, It was super noticeable that they never make it the same twice. It's always a toss up wether it is edible or not. Today, my boyfriend actually chose to throw his food away rather than eat it. I actually left a review about them not answering the phone and giving us horrible service and horrible food on their website, and of course their management didn't contact me back either.
