I must say that I was intimidated by the menu board. I don't know what to order and the line was moving fast, so the pressure was on. I tried to look for my usual sandwich. I ordered at delis which is an Italian sub, but I couldn't find it on the menu so I got what was closest to it. I can't remember the sandwich number, but it was very good. They put the right amount of condiments and meat on the sandwich. The bread was fresh. Service was good and quick. Plenty of table and seats inside for eating and a nice size parking lot. read more

Dino's does old school, no fuss sandwiches and the vibes of the store are super chill with plenty of locals and the game playing on their TVs. You order before finding and bussing your own table. They've got a good size lot and parking was pretty easy even on a weekend. We went for a late lunch around 1PM on a Sunday and there was still a pretty decent line (~14 people). I will say you should come with some extra time on your hands as since they slice meats and cheeses to order, the trade off for quality is it takes a bit of time to assemble. It took us about 20 - 25 minutes before everyone got their sandwiches. Overall, the ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are hefty (though they are nearly $20). Staff are generous with the amount of meat and the bread is a classic, soft roll. Lemonade is definitely powdered, but sometimes all you want is to know exactly what you're gonna get. Nothing ground breaking here and maybe I'd be a regular if I was a local, but if you aren't in the area, it's not really an experience to travel out of the way for. read more

What is going on? I've been going to Dino's since the early 90s to the present. I have never got a sandwich like the one I got today. The meat and bread was barely there. The sandwich bread was so thin and they are now cutting the meat paper thin. Just not worth the price to pay anymore. read more

Hands down the CLEAR WINNER OF THE BEST SANDWICH IN DFW !!!! I know I know ya'll are sayin WTF man bold statement there. I understand. Ive been eating at Dino's since I was in high school in the late 80s. Its the most consistent sub place anywhere. I still eat there at least 3 times a month. Cold beer too !!! There use to be a location on Randol Mill years ago and we ate there once a week. The Collins store is the last one left out of the 4 that were open at 1 time. First off, the location isn't the greatest as it's in-between intersections that are close together AND the parking lot is restricted due to some construction(?) next to it. It had rained the night before I went, so the parking lot was half mud and half asphalt...and it's very possible you could get stuck if you got too far out into the mud. Not a score reduction, just an observation and something to be aware of. It's an older place, but there's plenty of seating and the order line is long with lots of sandwich toppings to choose from. There's a list of sandwich options on the wall offering both cold and hot subs, and a couple of special options that appear to be added any time. I picked the hot roast beef and cheddar and my wife had the cold ham and salami. You can choose 1/2, single or double size. Prices range from $7ish to $18ish based on what you get and size. We opted for the single size and a drink, total was around $35 for us. Sandwiches were big (in appearance) and the bread was fresh (soft). After taking a bite of mine, I opened the bread to find a slice of thin melted cheddar cheese and maybe 1-2 thin slices of roast beef...which left me disappointed. It was good, but every other sandwich shop gives at least 4-5 slices, even if they are doubled up/folded, there's more than 1 layer. Again, flavor was good, but not what I expected for a $15 sandwich. My wife said hers was good, but I noticed the same with her sandwich. Service was friendly and the place was clean, so no issues there. They also offer some baked goods and sides, but we didn't try them. I always enjoy my Big D /No 11 sandwich on Wheat. I get mine with mayo and spicy mustard with easy lettuce anders everything else except onions, tomatoes, salt. I get black pepper as a substitute for the salt. The service is always friendly and they offer Apple Pay. Been coming here since they opened in 1980. Never disappointed in the food or service! Today, the craving, lead me over to Dino's Subs. If you've never been over there before they're in Arlington institution. They've been around since the 1980s and it doesn't look like anything has changed. In that happy way that reminds you of your childhood. The food is amazing as always, the bread is freshly made in house and they don't cut the meat or the cheese until you order the sub. Everything is made to order, and it is perfection. I grabbed it a pack of chips and tea and enjoyed my big D. I sat one of their miniature Booths, and watch a steady stream of people come in and order their sub. I don't think there's ever a dead time at Dino's, people are always coming in. Sometimes they trickle sometimes a long line, but that's because this place is amazing, a hidden gem. read more

Been going to Dino's for over a decade... was just there recently and thought to post a review. I grew up on hoagies/subs in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. Always a staple. In Texas, GOOD ones are hard to find. Either poor quality in meat or portioning, or the bread is terrible. I found Dino's, I found a taste of home. I always get either the #7 or #11, always with the works and "Dino dressed." The marinated peppers are SO GOOD. Heaping portions, even for a single portion. Get the double, if you dare. I'll bring my mom in here once in a while, so for someone who doesn't eat a lot, the half size suits her perfectly, so she doesn't feel like she leaves anything to waste. Anyways, bread is great, staff is always helpful and attentive when building my sandwich. They keep the line moving, so it's never a wait. Works, Dino Dressed, Extra Vinegar, and some Pepperoncinis. Perfect. Low key, looks like a shop in New York or Jersey. No frills, just how I like it. I will always recommend Dino's as my favorite sandwich shop in DFW, even though I live in Dallas now. Dino's has no competitor. They make a superior sandwich, period. I love the #19 with Dino Dressing, and the staff are always energetic and friendly, the tables clean and the drinks property chilled. For those with a big appetite, you can have a giant sub or order a double meat. If your appetite is more modest, like mine, split a sandwich with a friend and you'll both be plenty satisfied. I always pass by here and never get to try it, but today was the day I decided to give it a try! I've heard so much about this place and it's also been here for soooo long! We got the number 10 on wheat and half the sub and a number 20 on wheat only half the sub. I'm always nervous going into new places and ordering cause I don't know how the flow is, but everyone was nice inside and there were signs to lead you where to go. The workers were also pretty friendly too so I'm sure If you were to ask them or looked confused they would have helped you out. Anyways the number 10 was pretty good, it has baked ham, Canadian bacon, turkey and cheese I also got it with the works (the toppings). I really thought that the sandwich had a good amount of meat and filling. The number 20 which was a meatball sub but without cheese (cheese was extra) was decent. I wish it did come with cheese without extra charge but it is what it is. Was super excited to finally try Dinos....maybe it was from all the locals telling me their subs are the best in DFW...unfortunately i was really disappointed...the lunch meats were very good but the roll was too soft and kinda bland like a sub roll you'd get from a package in a grocery store....also thought it was weird that the main sub maker,it looked like he maybe needed a bathroom break, so apparently one of the other 3people were capable of making the subs in his absence...finally after literally 4-5 minutes of standing waiting one of the girls stepped in to make subs....and this was at noon..., It was OK but IMO Cheba Hut and Jersey Mike's are much better read more

First-time visitors. (August 7th, 2024 @ 7pm) My family, plus my elderly (handicapped) mother-in-law, drove from southwest Fort Worth (30 minutes) because my wife heard great things about Dino's. My mother-in-law has difficulty walking. Once we walked into the store, my mother-in-law saw an empty table near the ordering area and took a seat. (SIDE NOTE: The store was not crowded.) ... Did someone say, "Welcome to Dino's."? No. ... Did someone acknowledge us with a simple "Hello."? No. The first words that were voiced by an employee (quite loudly) were, "Hey! You can't sit there! You need to move!" Shocked by the employee's sincere rudeness, I looked at the employee in disbelief. I then glanced at my mother-in-law, thinking, "Is this guy serious?" As the employee continued to yell, "You need to move! Customers need that area to line up. You can't sit there." without a response, I told my mother-in-law to get up and move to another table. I was utterly floored. Based on this employee's awful interjection, I contemplated leaving. But since this was my wife's idea, I bit my tongue and proceeded to order. I figured, maybe the employee was having a bad day? Nope. He was just callous and unwelcoming to everyone. It made me wonder how a store survives with this kind of guy behind the counter. The sandwiches were good, but not good enough to put up with someone like that. We're never returning to Dino's. ---------------------------------- If you made it this far and want to know who I'm talking about, it's the elderly black man who dresses the sandwiches. (And by the looks of things, it's the ONLY THING he does... That, and bark loudly at customers. The other employee was hustling back and forth while he just stood there at his station.) read more
