Unbelievable. Seriously Schlotsky's: you have a big problem. My order was $36. This is a lot for fast food so I expect it to be right. EMPLOYEES SMOKING IN THE KITCHEN NOT CIGARETTES!!!! There was no salami on my turkey original. Drive through lady told me to park and wait for it to be remade. Fine. Some brain dead employee brings it out to me and it's hard as a rock and burned. I went in the store and told them it was unacceptable; to please use new bread. In that process, the employee began SMOKING in the kitchen when he took the sandwich back!!!!!! There was another male employee in the kitchen as well. Brought me try 2 which was also burned and had no extra mozzarella. Employee who brought the sandwich to my car but didn't take the order told me I 'never said nothin' about extra cheese' and it's not on the ticket'. He was swaying from side to side and kept saying 'ya, I got ya' and did not allow to tell him what was on the sandwich before taking it back to kitchen and arguing with me.I asked several times to speak to the girl who took my order but he told me he was the only one there and 'she must be on a bathroom break'. In the meantime, the girl who took my order returned from her break and brought me again, a barely passable sandwich. Bread was still burned. Apparently, they kept reheating the same sandwich 3 times. I eat here about once a week so I know what the bread is supposed to be like. My sandwich order was the turkey original with nothing else but the meat, adding extra cheese and extra olives. You'd think that would be an easy order. I got 10 bags of the chips because I love them and you can't buy them anywhere but Schlotsky's making my order $36. I told her they were smoking in the kitchen and of course 'she doesn't know what they do'. I am calling the health department immediately. Who the hell is managing there!! The sandwich was completely terrible. The food was good and fresh, but this is not what I ordered. Also didn't expect the service of the restaurant to have a round sub sandwich but this definitely doesn't look like a sourdough and it's definitely not in a sub bread. I can't speak on ambience, but I can tell you it's like eight dollars for a very small 4 ounces of soup 4 dollars soda that's average. My sandwich is soggy. I got it delivered and paid extra for priority and it came in a Cinnabon bag. No utensils as requested. I definitely want this remade or a refund preferably a remade one day with the correct bread and my pickle and just make it right. read more

This is hands down my favorite sandwich place! The staff is always super friendly, and I really appreciate how welcoming the vibe is every time I visit. Their rewards program is awesome almost every other visit ends up being discounted or free, which makes it even better. The sandwiches are a great size for the price. My favorite is the Turkey Original, the black olives are the perfect touch and take an already delicious sandwich to the next level. Highly recommend! read more

I stopped in this store on Thursday 9/26/2025 around 4:15 p.m. I hadn't had a Schlotzsky's meal in a few years and thought I'd get an order to go. I went inside to place my order. There were no other customers inside or in the drive thru...it was empty. I ordered two regular original sandwiches and a side of macaroni and cheese and a medium soft drink. I got my order to go. I got home after a 20 minute drive only to find out the side of macaroni and cheese was missing from my to go order and both sandwiches were soaking wet...the bread was soaking wet and disgusting. I called the store and put on hold. Finally a store rep answered my complaint and asked me to drive back for the missing side of Mac and cheese. No thank you. Not worth it. The Mac and cheese was $5.49 and my entire order came to more than $25.00. ridiculous.... I will never return to Schlotzsky's again. The food and service at this store was terrible. No wonder this place was empty...not another customer in sight during my visit. The food is way overpriced and the sandwiches were soggy and lacking any flavor. The service was awful. Avoid this place and go someplace else. There are plenty of competing fast food joints nearby that are far better in quality and service. read more

After a LOOOONG break from this establishment due to horrible service and ridiculous wait times, wow what a difference. The food was hot, fresh and quick. Sure today's inflation has put a cramp on affordability but the improvement and new speed of service certainly makes up for it. Not much better than the thin, light, fluffy, crunch of Schlotzsky's original sourdough bread. So happy to have come by today. read more

Ugh. Really upset that this meal was a dub because I spent $25 on it. I was initially excited, because the sandwiches were huge, but was quickly disappointed when I began to eat mine. I ordered the Veggie Burger without checking it's contents. I assumed it would contain avocado or something else as a base, but the "meat" was just replaced with black olives covered in melted cheese. Yuck. It was like someone melted cheese onto a salad and put it between buns. While I'm on the subject, the buns were subpar as well. The Bacon Beef Cheeseburger or whatever it's called was okay. Pizza wasn't too bad for $10. Better than the competition in my opinion. Got a 'Meaty' 10 inch and an unsweetened iced tea. After taxes and tip it was $16 and change. The only reason why I couldn't get five stars because I was so upset that I ordered a Cinnabon and it's the same price as if you were to purchase at a mall location yet the actual cinnamon bun is half of the size. That's neither here nor there, just me being greedy LOL, but the taste was great and I got a breakfast burrito and it was pretty good. I didn't even know they had breakfast I just wanted a Cinnabon. I didn't care for the onions, peppers and potatoes, but that's was my oversight and I'll ask them to leave those off next time. Finally, I wanted to point out the service that I received. I am a huge stickler for a good customer service, but with Covid so much has gone downhill. The young lady that was working the drive-through this morning was amazing. She was super sweet very friendly and nothing changed when I arrived at the window ...the same attitude and it really put me in a good mood. Then it takes 10 minutes to explain to the girl behind the counter I don't want meat and I come in for the smokey a avacado sandwich. So I ordered a smokey veggie and I don't get smokey and the person making the sandwich ask if they can do a veggie in size large. OMG... In short the was the worst sandwich I have ever had anywhere, and I didn't get all the veggies it said it came with. So disappointing. That was my LAST trip to the restaurant forever.... To me, this is the best hot sandwich anywhere! As a native Texan, I have been fortunate enough to have grown up with Schlotzsky's. From there, I moved to California for 30 years for employment. Schlotzsky's was my most missed Texas restaurant! NOooooo! Every visit home included a visit to Schlotzsky's. While in California I even created a copycat recipe using English muffins. It got me through the darkest Schlotzsky's drought of my life! I now live in Arizona, and now enjoy them regularly, especially during the COVID shutdown. I appreciate their dedication and safety practices. Okay, If you have not had a Schlotzsky, It has a toasted sour dough bun with ham, salami, melted cheddar, black olives, onion, tomato and lettuce. It comes together like no other sandwich that I've had. You must try the original! Schlotzsky's is not like any other deli. The last time I was in, the Franchise owner greeted me and checked on my order. We had a very nice conversation while I was waiting. Great food! Amazing staff! BOGO Pizza Wednesdays and Cinnabon!! Personal favorite is the Pastrami Stacker it has amazing 1000 island dressing that just send your taste buds to the moon!! And if you don't like the sauerkraut and 1000 they have it with just swiss and dijon mustard! Second choice would be the original it reminds me of an Italian sandwich. We got cinnabons from here about a year ago and they were old and dry. Today we thought we would give them a 2nd chance as its the closest Cinnabon location to us. I have been eating at Schlotzsky's since the 70's when then opened in Austin Texas. The food and service has been poor to fair the past two years at this location but I chalked it up to COVID. We got two medium originals here, to go, Sep 30. First of all we got no pickles, second it took them longer than normal to get us the order. Got home and my sandwich top bun looked like someone took a big chunk out of it. Both our sandwich buns were squashed thin and very dry, as if they were under a heat lamp for a few hours. The cheese on the bottom looked congealed, and the bottom bun was soaked. It appears that rather than toss these extremely old sandwiches they decided to add an extra inch of sliced meat. They were both so salty they were almost inedible. We tossed 1/2 sandwich and more than half the meat. This was the worst, by a long shot, sandwich I ever had from this chain. Highly upset. Had a taste for a Cinnabon and recently had got one from the mall kiosk. Figured this being a store front that the quality can only be matched or better. I was indeed wrong. There was no one in the drive thru line which seemed like a pleasant relief but this may be the cause of the problem. We ordered one center of the roll for my daughter and I to share. It was hard like the "outside of the roll" and it was not warm! We would have been better off purchasing a package and warming it up.
