A full parking lot meant the lunch rush was in full swing but the line moved quickly and we were ordering in short order, her choosing a veggie sandwich with pimento cheese plus potato salad on the side while I stayed keto with a Cobb salad and no croutons. Despite the crowd, it didn't take long before we were seated and dining. Everything was fresh and satisfying, the kind of simple lunch that hits exactly right when you're on the road and just need good food without any fuss. The bacon alone made me want to drive back for a BLT, which might happen next week when I can get back over there. Before I walked away I tucked $20 in their tip jar, because I knew if it tasted as good as it looked I would lose sleep thinking I got that dream burger for free.
