First of all, you walk in and it smells like burnt bread, or burnt soup. Second of all, the service is bad. A lot of unneeded attitude and glares. Third of all, the food is NOT worth the money. I've visited this Panera a few times recently, and they're awesome! Jimmy is always so friendly with a smile on his face! I always get the vanilla cream cold brew and it's made perfect, just to my liking! Except one time it wasn't, but Jimmy fixed that problem and remade my order without hesitation and made sure I liked it before I drove off. I never seek out Panera Bread as my first choice, typically end up here by blind chance, usually when a "mom" is among us. But you know, I have never been served an item I didn't like at Panera. The service and food are always great. The cost is comparable to other bread companies. I enjoy the bagels and soups as well as the salads.

Finally a location in Jonesboro! The atmosphere is about what you'd expect from a bakery cafe, which means it's right up my alley. I like the spots by the fireplace or the windows best. The black bean soup is some of the best in town, and the Mediterranean salmon salad was AWESOME. The bread, scones, & bagels are all amazing. This place is simply a great bakery. As the previous reviewer mentioned, if you order an entree & a drink, you get a bakery case item for 99 cents. Anything in there, including the scones which are about $3-4 each! The shortbread cookies are worthy of their own paragraph. You find them in the bakery case; big, thick rectangular cookies with a diamond pattern on top. As my husband said, "You don't so much chew it as experience it." They disintegrate into buttery goodness as soon as you take a bite, leaving that incredible salty sweet balance that you can only get from a good shortbread. They go AMAZINGLY well with a cup of the British Breakfast tea. Speaking of which: stick with the tea & avoid the coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have to be a snob to notice the coffee always tastes a bit burnt. For a chain restaurant, this is a great place for your morning coffee and my personal favorite - either the 4 cheese or spinach & artichoke egg soufflés (They have several kinds to pick from but come early - they go fast!) Lots of choices for gourmet bagels -which are sliced and toasted. Highly recommend the Cinnamon Crunch Bagel. For lunches (even dinner), they offer a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. I know they even cater as I have been at many work meetings and had "box lunches" brought in with a 1/2 sandwich, chips, and cookie!. My sandwich choice is the Italian Combo which has steak, turkey, ham, salami, swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato. All the Panera's I have been to offer a comfy warm "home" feeling to sit and enjoy your meal. Lots of people come to read the morning paper or meet their friend for coffee. Offers free wi-fi too. Kinda pricy for food but the quality is really good. The one thing I did find weird at this location is that if you go through the drive-thru - all your food is "loose" in the bag. My husband's bagel was sitting on top of my egg soufflé (not in a bag or protective container). Other locations typically have cute little boxes for the egg soufflé and they have a little sleeve the bagel goes in... This was like that several times so I know they just weren't out of their boxes. If your looking for Low fat, low carbs and low stress then you'll feel at home here at Panera. Seems odd to be at a place that has Bread in its name yet personally satisfying to not partake of the eating of bread in order to maintain the low carbs part. The veggie soup was the best part of my meal and only cost me 140 calories. The classic salad with chicken ran me a bit more (350-400 cal) and was just so-so. It could be considered as good as any Bag salad with a low cal balsamic. read more

My husband and I enjoy going here for the coffee and yummy bakery treats. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Recently used them for a catering event and they were superb. We ordered a few of their delectable pastry rings and several bagels. The food was ready and boxed up as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Our order was correct and packed very nice and neat. They even gave us plates, napkins, and silverware at no extra charge. (The even was for 40 people and the prices were incredibly reasonable.) We'll definitely use them for future events! read more

This place is great for breakfast and coffee. I love their Asiago bagels, I always order some to go and get their specialty cream cheese. The New England clam chowder is super delicious too. There is a lot of parking so you don't have to worry about that. The sandwiches are pretty good, however some of the deli meat can be a little salty if you have a low sodium diet, but it's still pretty good. The quiche is pretty legit too. It is ok for a chain sandwich place. Ingredients do not seem very fresh, and I don't need another rewards card on my keychain.

My wife and I used to go here routinely on the weekends for breakfast. However, we have found that they are frequently out of basic breakfast items such as varying types of bagels and cream cheeses by 7:30 am. We typically love Panera and have lived in towns with high quality stores. After several disappointing visits, we have found new places to take our business. It appears that the quality of the store in Jonesboro has diminished over time. Sad. read more

Just got through eating for 1st and last time here. If I hadn't been starving I wouldn't have been able to choke it down. My smoked turkey sandwich was so bland and the breads crust was as tough as shoe leather. love this place.... So glad they decided to come to jonesboro, man we are moving up in the world. The Tomato Soup is good im told, I had the Broccoli cheddar and it was awsome you can get a nice bowl of soup for 4.59 plus tax or the nice soup in a bread bowl for only 4.99 plus tax so its a real nice place to go for a great cheap meal that can fill you up. It would be very wise to get their mebership card and when you order a Meal i.e. bowl of soup and drink they will offer you a baked good for only .99 cent and some of them are about 3 bucks each like the nice warm sweet cinnamon roll I had and i swear it was delicious. Now I will say they are not perfectly fast as ones I'm use to but please be kind as this is new to so many ppl customers and employee's alike and they are trying hard, I have no doubt that they will get the hang of it soon and will rock this town. One of the rare qualites that this Panera Bread has that not even Most of the big city ones have is the nice fast Drive-thru, and being from alot of big city's myself i have seen alot of them and visit all i can...... Plus from time to time they will wal around and offer you sample's of different baked goods, just had the Asiago and it was so good I barely got a bite before my Girlfriend stole it out my hands and eat it so there is yet anouther thing to try when you come here yourself. read more
