This review has nothing to do with the building or service provided by the staff but everything to do with the food the company is selling. Today I went to get a chicken avocado cobb salad and the salad looked great. The issue is that the eggs were translucent. Boiled eggs are supposed to be white. I went ti bite into the eggs and water squirted out kind of like those gummy candies with a filling. Water should not squirt out of an egg. The tomatoes did not taste fresh either. read more

So first, let me say that Schlotzsky's is amazing. Their sandwiches are so delicious. This location is no different. 5 stars easily for the food alone.. also they give 50% off to all active duty military (which is super awesome). However, they get knocked down one star for customer service. There is a red haired, female employee (I'm not sure if her name) but she needs a lesson or two on attention to detail and giving folks the right order. I ordered online once and I ordered 6 oatmeal raisin cookies. She only gave me 5. I was already in my car and half way down the block when I noticed. So I went back in and she said oh well we only have 5 oatmeal raisin, do you want another kind? My issue is: you knew good and well from the jump that y'all didn't have 6 oatmeal raisin cookies. You just hoped that I hadn't notice which is rude af and you wasting my time. On a separate occasion, I ordered in person and the same red head made my sandwich and handed me my food; Low and behold; the two cookies that I ordered: NOT IN MY BAG. I've had Schlotzky's before and wasn't impressed the first time. It was probably because the sandwich I had was someone's leftovers and the sandwich was cold and a bit soggy. Delicious, don't get me wrong, but no. So I wasn't particularly thrilled when my friend and her mom suggested Schlotzky's for lunch one day. I wasn't paying so I wasn't about to start complaining, but I will admit that I whined a lot in my head. Anyway, we headed in and I looked at everything but the sandwiches they had. Ooo, pizza?? Pizza sounds good! Me likey pizza! I got myself ready to order the plain-Jane pepperoni pizza until my eye caught sight of 'Grilled Chicken & Pesto'. Say what? That's a thing? That's a pizza? I want it and I want it noooow. So I excitedly ordered that and you know what? It was damn delicious, that's what. It was... I can't even describe it. I have been coming to schlotzsky's for years. I have always enjoyed this place until today. I have never been so disappointed in my food till today. First off the sandwich I had received was not a deluxe but A original I thought, oh well I'll just eat it. They got my bread wrong and didn't make it a deluxe. So I received an original. The food was disgusting. I ordered a chicken flatbread and a chicken wrap. The lettuce on my wrap was wilted and the wrap itself was soggy. The wrap might have gotten soggy from being stored in the same container with the hot flatbread. The flat bread was burnt in places and when I bit into a piece I almost hurt my teeth on a hard dry burnt black bean. This was my second time visiting a Schlotzky's my first was in Austin and it was just so great! Made me want more, but today ruined all of that. The manager was RUDE. As soon as we walk in the manager gave us (me and my girlfriend) a ugly glance and as soon as we hit the register it was just a uncomfortable rushed process.. attitude was given when asking what was in certain sandwiches, not comfortable at all. The sandwiches are hit and miss. Absolutely do not get the cookies they are tiny. Unfortunately I purchased and was driving out of town. I had a ton of mustard on my sandwich and two cookies that were a little bigger than a quarter. Georgetown location is amazing and never disappoints. My first time here!! I ordered a cup of broccoli cheese soup and half a smoked turkey sandwich on rye. I forgot to grab a spoon. My mistake! But the crackers in the soup were amazing. The soup itself was so good. And the sandwich was awesome too. Yum. My first time was a huge success and I look forward to coming back. Although I like the addition of any veggie at subway (I get everything and extra. I love it all.) and I would enjoy that at a schlotskys, I still enjoyed the variety of soups and salads. I just had a terrific turkey-avacado-Cobb salad at schlotzkys. Such a nice atmosphere with the smell of Cinnabon and big windows. Super clean & great employees. The flatbread chicken BBQ pizza is very yummy as well. Healthy fresh ingredients always make for a great lunch. read more

Sandwich was delicious. The tea was old tea. Like it was a day old. When I went there, I placed my order and the woman that took my order in the evening sounded like I was interrupting her. I was asked "Do you need something else?" Like placing an order for my husband and myself was too much to ask of her. I work in customer service, I KNOW that you should NEVER make the guest feel like they're an inconvenience. That is the fastest way to make them never want to return to your establishment. She made up for it by offering me an extra cup of ice (I'd asked for lots of ice in my tea), and apologizing because she was counting the drawer when I ordered. Honestly, if it weren't for the place being so close to home, and my knowledge of one experience not being the defining experience, I wouldn't eat here again.
