Food is good but they can't follow instructions if you order online and try to remove a ingredient they will add it anyway I can't eat avocado so when I order my sandwich the app lets me select ingredients I would like to remove when I remove avocado on the app and I get home and there's avocado all over my sandwich it's quite irritating. It's insane they charge you for ingredients when I don't even want it. Sometimes we will call our order in I always get a 12 inch spicy turkey melt and after ordering the cashier will read my order back and it's correct but when I pick it up they give me a 6 inch sandwich instead of a 12 I pay for a 12 inch I'd like to get the sandwich I paid for. read more

Yum! I've only ever been to McAllister's two or three times in the past. I passed by them all the time and never stop. This last experience has helped me in my decision in not passing them up so quickly the next time I am looking for something good to eat. I am infatuated with baked potatoes, whether they are plain with butter and sour cream and chives or if they are loaded. This location was clean and the staff were nice and the food came out hot and fresh. They sell more than just baked potatoes so for anyone looking for good food that is a healthier alternative to other fast food restaurants, I definitely recommend you try McAllister's. read more

I need to go to McAlister's more often! I've lived in the area for almost 3 years now and have only been here once before. I ordered a salad last time, and sandwiches/soups today. They were SO good! We got a grilled chicken wrap with tortilla soup, a Reuben with country potato soup, and a kids pizza. I was very happy to see my whole order was correct, as something is typically always missing or incorrect. All of the pickles were included and the accommodations were spot on, so thank you for that!! The wrap was delicious, the tortilla soup was good but had a little kick which bothers my pregnant belly. It had flavor though! The Reuben was impressive, leaving my husband very satisfied and ready for a nap! We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of meat on it, and would absolutely go back just for that alone. Most places don't make it worth it for a ten dollar sandwich, but this was. The country potato soup was dang good and I need more soon! The kids meal was ok, it was very tiny and the crust super hard, but it wasn't expensive so I can't be too upset with that. I'm very thankful to see they wrapped each soup with plastic wrap so nothing spilled in the bag! Everything was carefully packed, again, very rare these days when getting food out. 08.19.2023 - McAllister's Deli - ordered online and picked it up on the shelf. I've ordered a BLT on a toasted croissant with Roasted Turkey. No regrets. It's a bit pricey but it's because I customized it with these details like the Turkey and honey mustard. There was a pickle and tried their Famous Sweet Tea. I also got BBQ chips on the side. Chocolate cookie was also super delicious. I will definitely return again. So good! read more

We have been ordering from McCallisters for about years and it has always been great. This past Monday we had an order delivered and we were very disappointed. Short trip to Texas, first time to McCalister's. This place was a mile from my hotel, and online ordering was easy breezy. It took longer to write this review. I didn't speak to anyone when I grabbed my order, but they were super busy. I can't otherwise comment on the ambiance. When I got back to my hotel- I discovered that my chips were wrong. I just don't like vinegar on chips. I gave them to the hotel clerk. It's 4th of July- I would be eating plenty of chips later in the day. The sweet tea was refreshing- I don't know how you Texans handle this humidity. The veggie sandwich was fresh and not heavy. I'm calling it almost vegan because the mayonnaise probably wasn't. Over the last 2 1/2 days I've been having intestinal challenges with almost everything I've eaten in Texas. This sandwich, iced tea was perfect. I appreciated it.. My digestive system appreciated it. I also thought it was a great value. A similar meal at favorite chain in suburban Sacramento would probably run about $5-7 more. I had the chocolate chip cookie later that night- pretty darn good. It's been about 11 years since I've been to Killeen. I fly back to California tomorrow morning. If I come back in another 11 years- I hope this place is still around. read more

I have been to this McAllister several times as I live just a few miles away from it. The folks there are always really polite and nice and my food comes out really quick. It's never crowded. It's always clean and books are always coming around to ask if there's anything else that we need. We have made it nowa weekly thing to make a stop at McAllister's. The only reason I'm giving them a four over five is their selection of desserts has changed. I'd like for them to bring back the strawberry cheesecake. read more

I'm a first time customer and I typically ask for recommendations from the wait staff or person at the register, since they'd typically know what items sell. In a prior review, a Yelper mentioned this place felt like there were zombies walking around. TBH, that was my first thought when I came in. After I ordered my food, I noticed the manager was talking to some of the coworkers at the front counter. His demeanor and tone was as if he was berating the 2 female workers and it was a bit off putting as a customer to see and hear what was going on. The management team set the tone for the workforce and if there is no mutual respect & lack of guidance, I can see why this place has loss it's appeal. read more

There was no line when we came here on a Tuesday afternoon. There was plenty of seating and upbeat music. The person at the front was super friendly. Our food was ready within 2 minutes of sitting down! The sweet tea was really good and so was my Arnold Palmer. They do have free refills which is good to know considering that the drink machines are behind the counter. The Club sandwich was delightful. Not too heavy. Could taste every component. Veggies were super fresh. The mac n cheese was good, however the noodles were on the overcooked side. The chicken was juicy in the grilled chicken Caesar and seasoned well. The Potato salad was really good. It had a nice crunch to it. The smoked paprika really added to it. We overall enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back in the near future! read more

I am so disappointed. I work over night. Ordered pick up from McAlister's in Killeen. I ordered a sandwich, loaded potato, and mac&cheese. I was sad to go on lunch and find no potato and less than half a cup of Mac&Cheese. I feel like my ordered was rushed and was severely overlooked. My daughter loves this place. The food is always good and the staff is pleasant...my only issue is the cleanliness. We came for lunch... You can tell the floors under the tables haven't been cleaned in far too long. Our table was insanely sticky. It's hard to have an enjoyable dine in experience. We should know better about ordering from this store and checking the order before we leave. Placed 2 separate online orders to use my rewards for an entree and another order to use a 5 dollar off. Had my boyfriend pick up the orders for us, as I am sick at home. Upon getting the order they had everything in one bag and missing a cup of soup. The manager asked to see the order on his phone as I took a screenshot of them both and sent it to him. Brought back the bag and sent him home with the wrong soup. I know this is very insignificant to the store. But as I said I am sick and wanted very much for some chicken tortilla. When he got home and realized the wrong soup was in there I called the store and asked to speak to The manager. Asked her if they were out of chicken tortilla, she said no. Asked her to look up my order and see if it said broccoli cheddar and she said no it in fact said chicken tortilla. The order was bagged incorrectly to begin with but they have the audacity to say the gentleman told them it was broccoli cheddar. Which based on previous orders that have been incorrect with this store and the sense that my boyfriend has, that is the ability to read.. I don't believe what she said was correct. To be fair, I have not visited McAllister as Deli since late 2023;at that time my Spouse and myself went for Chicken sandwiches but they are out of of chicken( at least that is what we are told); so we did return till today (9/24/2024); for two Sandwiches and the Spud Max. I will not comment about the Crickets since this is mating season. I will comment on the Customer Service: On a scale of 1-10; 10 being exceptional........I would give the person who took our order (being kind, a 5). The person seem bored, and yes he did get the order correct, his demeanor gave one the impression that the Rep would rather be elsewhere. I thought that if you are putting yourself out there for the general public and you are part of an organization........ You should enthusiastically represent that organization!!!! If not find one!!! It has been said that if you find a job you love, you will never have to worry about going to work each day!!!! I guess things have changed in the work industry where " putting your best foot forward; dressing for success, and an enthusiastic "really wanting not help attitude; has been replaced with indifference, attitude like " job starts at 10; for example so I will arrive at 10........whatever happened to arriving early to been ready to start at 10!!!!; or whenever!!!! Ordered my usual dine-in bowl of potato soup and a Rachel (its a rueben sandwich with turkey instead of corned beef). Bowl of soup came in a to go container (not a dine-in bowl) and looked like a smaller amount than usual. Was told it was 12 ounces but it wasn't filled to the top, maybe about 3/4 to the top. It was soooo watered down, it had no flavor. No shredded cheese or bacon that normally comes on top. The Rachel sandwich had a good deal of turkey on it but absolutely NO sauerkraut. I'd rather a restaurant prefer to serve quality, not quantity. Instead of watering the soup down to a tasteless liquid and not including an expected ingredient on a sandwich so they can stretch and sell more of it. When I inquired on this, all I got was a blank stare. Been a while since I've come to this location for this very reason and they seem to be getting worse. My wife and I visited your location after over 2 years. The last time we were in it was a horrible time. The lobby was a mess and the food was so so. Fast forward to yesterday at about 4:30 p.m. We entered the lobby and everything looked real good. We then went to the order counter and placed our order. Everything was done by the time we sat down. We were served by the shift supervisor, Mallory. This lady was the most courteous, and very knowledgeable. Not only was the service excellent, the food was also excellent. I think you have a woman that would make a great assistant manager, and work herself into a managers position. In all the personnel i have come into contact with in the fast food industry she is by far the best person i've ever come in contact with. She's very comprehensive along with being knowledgeable and has the skills to move right into an Assistant Manager. She handle the other employees with respect and i think this is the best i've ever seen at this location. read more

My partner got the King, I got the half and half (NYer and beef and cheddar). Since this was our first time trying the place, we also ordered a few sides (potato salad, Mac and cheese, salad) and everything was such a nice portion for the price. Kid's meal, chicken and broccoli, was a very large portion! Easily could be an adult's work lunch. The only negative I could find was the kids meal's cookie. Super hard crunchy chocolate chip cookie. Extremely slow service. I saw someone wait for a refill for over 10 minutes. He only received a refill after I told him he might have to get their attention by saying "excuse me". I watched another individual ask for a refund because they took too long bringing out the order. They only brought out the food once she asked for a refund.
