Sorry but this place has dissapointed me for the past 8 months. We have ordered at drive up and inside (for dine in and to go). For some reason, this location cannot get "to go" orders correct. We always specifically order NO lettuce or onion. Our receipt always reflects this request however once we get home the sandwiches always include lettuce and onion. Its like they only know how to make the sandwich one way, forget about the customer request. I like Schlotzsky' food but this location can't seem to get it right. I'll be going to another location in the future. read more

Schlotzsky's at Harker Heights, TX 76548 The dining area was spotless, and the staff was very attentive. It's clear they truly care about customer service, which for me is something very valuable. They come across as a customer-oriented, well-established place. Let's go straight to the point about what brought me here. At first, I was a bit skeptical because I had read a review that left me with some doubts. But since I'm the type of person who prefers to judge based on my own experience, I decided to give it a try. I love cinnamon rolls, that's the main reason I came. I also wanted to give Cinnabon a fair chance to be evaluated based on my taste. I ordered a Classic Roll and a "Center of the Roll" (for those unfamiliar, it's the same cinnamon roll but cut into pieces and served in a bowl). Each was $5.59, which I found fair. The taste was exactly what you expect from a good cinnamon roll, and the bake was solid, maybe a little firm on the outside for my liking, but the inside was soft and flavorful, with the cinnamon and dough blending perfectly. You can choose to have it served hot or at room temperature; I went with hot, and it was great. The sugar cream was well-balanced and added that signature Cinnabon flavor. The only downside, and this is big for coffee lovers like us, is that they don't serve coffee here. I'm sure they have their reasons, but for me, that's the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review. Pregnant and was craving their sandwich just with extra lettuce and tomato. Made sure to order that and even call ahead to make sure they understood I was asking for extra. They did not put extra so when I call back I get hit with "we can only put so much" but they didn't even do that so no apologies just attitude. They forgot my drink. And even no spoon for my soup. Oh and soup had green onion even though I requested none. Just horrific. I was so annoyed to come back for my drink you can tell was sitting on the counter dripping with condensation. Food wasn't hot anymore by the time I could enjoy it at home. The extra vegetables was for the heartburn pregnancy gives when eating deli meat and they couldn't do that even though I called ahead. I'm really not sure why this chain is so popular. The food tasted pretty good, but was very much over priced. Our experience here wasn't very good. The greasy kid that took our order was very impatient, which was weird, because we were seriously the only patrons in there. Our sandwiches took a long time to come out. We only ordered sandwiches and a kids mac and cheese. When they finally came, I informed the food runner that we had ordered milk for our little one, not the juice she was holding. She was visibly annoyed that she had to go back and bring milk. The dining area was unclean with greasy tables and chairs, and crusty gross high chairs. I wanted to tell you about my experience today at your Harker Heights location I ordered my food online for pickup. It was simple: 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, 2 bags of chips, and 2 cookies. It said it would be ready at 445 PM I go to pick it up and notice no chips in the bag. I had to ask for them. The lady handed me my drinks and the lids separately. The lids fell on the floor as she handed them to me. She saw this happen and turned and walked away, never offering new lids. I get home. There are no cookies in the bag. I drive back over there. I walk in the door (an alarm rings when the door is opened). Another customer and I wait 8 minutes before anyone comes out. As the lady steps out, I notice another employee making food with no mask. I ask the lady about this and she says "yeah she should be wearing a mask. I don't know why she isn't". I get my cookies and return home. Upon reflection, I do not feel safe eating this food, as it was most likely prepared by an unmasked employee. I once again drive back to return everything. I feel this needs to be addressed with this store. I can understand the lags in service during a pandemic, but not the lack of PPE when preparing food. You're going to get someone killed. Please address this with the store. I will not be returning. read more

I visited this Schlotzky's, Harker Heights location. I paid over $14.00 for a small sandwitch since I requested extra meat, had no clue it was that expensive...I ate half of my sandwitch and the top part of my mouth started getting irritated due to the BREAD BEING SO HARD. After thinking about how much I paid, I brought up this issue to one of the ladies who was very attentitave and listened. She understood and spoke to the manager. The manager brings my half of the sandwitch back and told me that I ate half already and that the bread was not hard. When I explained the situation, she rolled her eyes and treated me like I was looking for free food, which is not the case. This manager needs a refresher course on customer service for sure. I will also make a few phone calls to report this bad experience as a customer. As I am writing my review, the first review I read was from another customer aboutHOW HARD THE BREAD WAS, so of course I got up and showed the rude manager, but she didn't even look, did not care. Let start by saying I like schlotzskys. This location is totally inconsistent. I always get the same sandwich a turkey bacon club. Sometimes the meat is thin sliced(good), sometimes it's sliced way too thick (not as good). Sometimes they add some a lot of pepper or some type if spices, sometimes none. Sometimes more toasty. Sometimes less. People want consistency! Please work on this! Also a lot if visits they forget to give me things like chips or cookies and that is always disappointing! read more

We came for cinnamon rolls, and they don't have any original rolls! Our options were limited to mini rolls or center of the roll cups. When we got our food they were cold and stale, not the warm, fresh rolls I'm used to from Cinnabon. Very disappointed this morning. This is the third time a Cinnabon in Schlotzsky's has disappointed.
