Gooey gooey gooey sweet treat oh and they do sell the centerpiece of the cinnamon roll just just instead of a whole cinnamon bun and I just purchased the cinnamon centerpiece and then they have the minis which is just a smaller version of the large center roll cinnamon bun roll. When I say you can definitely see the size difference between the original cinnamon roll cinnamon bun to the mini you will see too. read more

Went there today and noticed a diff set up. Haven't been there for awhile. The customer service was slow. The cashier was sitting and talking to someone while looking at the customers waiting for her. Not good. She didn't acknowledge them at all. She got up to go get her friends food and sat back down to continue her conversation with her friend. Not good. I was disappointed to see the meat selection has been narrowed down. No. Just.. Absolutely awful. They are absolutely slow. They wait until your food is cold to even bring it out to you. They take 45 minutes even when you order something small AND it's slow. I've constantly seen them drop food on the floor through the pick up window and still use it. Multiple employees and even the owners (I assume, they weren't in uniform and were talking to the employees as if they were the boss) were not wearing gloves!! What?! Ew! Soups taste like recooked 3 day old soup, sandwiches? It's like they don't even try to make it presentable. And it's never clean nor are the teas ever full when I go. This is my last time ever going. I love Schlotzsky's! To my knowledge this is the only one within the Memphis loop. I have been going to this establishment for well over a decade. In that time they have been consistent with not only their product, but cleanliness as well. I do want to stress cleanliness. I don't care what time of day it is, you will find one of the owners wiping things down and ensuring that it is aesthetically pleasing. If you read any of my other reviews you know that I am a creature of habit, I like what I like. This fairs to be no different. Eight times out of ten I'm getting the veggie sandwich on rye with jalapeño chips. The other 20% of the time, I will venture to the original sandwich. Many people swear by the pizzas. If your adventurous I say give it a whirl. I don't think you will go wrong. As an adult you find excitement in things like that Coke freestyle machine! Hey the options and combos ate endless. Recently I had a slight concern with glove protocol. The kitchen manager just happened to be out in the common area. I shared my concern with him and he immediately made me feel at ease. But more than that, he didn't make me feel crazy for raising my concern and addressed it promptly. Because I don't unequivocally know that there was an issue, I'm not going to post it online. Wow! I haven't been in a good long while, and they've completely remodeled the place! It looks so nice and clean on the inside. What I also really like is the middle island section where they have usb plugs and outlets on both sides! While eating, charging up the phone is a must for me. The parking space is very spacious. Schlotzsky's is located inside a small plaza so there's plenty of space in front and side of the store. Taking it down to the actual nitty gritty, the food options is grand. You can customize pretty much anything whether it's pizza or a sandwich. I really like that they have a separate vegetarian menu as well to help you easily navigate through which ones have no meat. We love options! The #1 thing that I think everyone who eats at schlotzsky's can agree on is the sizes of the sandwich. A regular size is big already, so make sure you pay attention to the sizes! A small size sandwich will fill you up to a good feeling of full. Just enough room to go back up for desserts. Oh yes, they sell Cinnabon. Nothing else needs to be said about that. What I ordered was a veggie pizza and a little tip. If you like your crust to be crunchy, ask to get it run through the oven twice! I haven't been in so long that I completely forgot. But won't forget the next time! Last comment is the coke freestyle machine. What! It's so nice. I haven't seen a freestyle machine as nice as this one before. It looks so clean and fancy. It def helps that they have more options for drinks that caters to everyone! If you couldn't tell, this is a franchise store, but it's the same mom and pops that's been running it for years! This has been my go-to lunch place with my best friend for years! I haven't been in a while but it's something called "Austin's Eatery" now which confused me a little but its still such a great restaurant. Cinnabon's are still being sold here and the soda machine is now one of those freestyle coke ones where you can customize to any drink you want! I usually come here for a quick snack so my friend and I both get the kids ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwich and its so delicious. You can add lettuce and tomato to it if you want. The sourdough bread and the cheese just makes your mouth water and it's just so delicious. The cookie that comes with it also tastes great. I placed an online order on Jan 11 for pick up at 2:10PM. When I arrived to pick up my order. It was not there. Manager (ASIAN woman) asked me to give her my order number. I showed her the email confirmation on my phone. She went to back of location and spoke with her husband . She came back in front of store and said to me not good order number. I'm don't live in area but i love Schlotzsky's and try to stop in when I'm in Memphis. Last time there were a number of people complaining, but I got in and out no problem. Today was the complete opposite. First off, every one from the cashier to the cooks are wearing masks below their noses, but that's beside the point. I ordered one medium sandwich at 11:36, Order 218. Order 219 comes. Order 220. I ask about it "it's coming, ma'am." 221. It's been 15 minutes. I ask to speak to a manager. Someone goes to the back and comes back with no manager. I wait a minute thinking the manager is coming. Finally, I ask is the manager not coming? Order 222. No, ma'am, I can't find him. Finally I say, "I'm going to call corporate. This is ridiculous." Order 223. One employee finally hands me my bag and says "Why you tripping over a fucking sandwich?" She proceeds to say "fuck you" to me and call me a "hoe." Keep in mind I never cussed or disrespected her. She said her name was Tabitha. Her coworkers cheered her on. One employee came up and tried to make the situation right (a young white man) by offering chips or cookies but at this point I've been cussed out and don't even trust nothing disgusting had been done to the sandwich. Other customers are watching aghast. As I'm calling corporate from inside the restaurant, she's continuing to heckle me. "Why are you here? Why are you here?" Again, her coworkers continue giving her an audience, laughing at her behavior. I called and left a message at corporate but there was no live person. I asked for a refund and left. This is the most disrespect I have EVER encountered at a restaurant. Management needs to step in and make some significant changes at this location. It's absolutely unacceptable. read more

I called an order today for me and my coworker for lunch. Not impressed. They messed up the order and I didn't even get my sandwich, they gave us 2 of the same sandwich my coworker wanted, a French melt I think. It was a 20 min drive to get there so I didn't have time to go back. I know the person on the phone took the order right cause she read it back to me. I had to eat something I didn't want and it was plain and not very good. I am from Austin TX and since moving from there, I have sought out The Original sandwich anytime I get near a Schlotzsky's. The food quality is great and it tastes exactly as it should. I couldn't give the full 5 stars because: 1. The location had some super sketchy individuals in the immediate and adjacent parking lots. I seriously did not feel safe at 1pm on a sunny day and I waited for the dangerous looking people who were parked next to my car just sitting in it on an 85 degree day to leave. I asked the order taker if the area/neighborhood was dangerous and she said she lived in the neighborhood and didn't think so. She seemed like a very simple girl. 2. I got my receipt and it said I had 72 hrs to scan the barcode to go towards the Schlotzsky's Reward Program. While waiting for the parking lot to empty, I downloaded the app, searched it looking for a way to add that visit (scan the code), but I was lost on adding the visit. So I asked the simple girl at the counter. She said she had no idea how the app works. OK. I asked if there was someone else that can help me with adding my visit to the app? She said "I wouldn't know" and looked at me blankly instead of asking offering to ask her manager, so I gave up on this fragile soul and left. read more

Disappointing at best. I was hoping for some decent deli food. Their window said hearty soups but that was not the case. I got a soup and sandwich combo. The chicken noodle soap tasted like it was from a can. The noodles were so thick they just tasted doughy and overwhelmed the soup. The New Yorker sandwich was ok. Nothing special, bread wasn't that great. My husband and son split a pizza. His response "Pizza Hut is better"...ouch. My son did enjoy eating a pickle, that was the highlight of the meal. read more

I have had a long term relationship with Schlotzskys for quite some time. I am simply in love with The Original. I mean, it's the perfect sandwich: ham, two kinds of salami, melted cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses with black olives, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard and their signature dressing - all beautifully toasted on Sourdough bread. You know, I think it's the bread that makes it. Schlotzskys is a franchise, and there used to be a bunch of them in the area, but sadly (very sadly) many of them have gone under. Fortunately, this one has survived. And I wanted to be sure and give them two well deserved thumbs up. The service is great. The food awesome. The owner reached out to me.. following the sunday issue.. offering a gift card to rectify the problem with the sandwiches.. which was explained to me as a yeast proofing machine ... he followed up with emails.. expressing his apologies for everything... I'm willing to give them a second chance... they are my favorite sandwich shop... usually fabulous... offering soups and pizza... I'm having an problem editing my original posted review... I stand firmly my review on that visit was correct honest... but after emails .. and the explanation being completely understandable Paul has been very in touch several times making sure everything was okay.. I haven't been to Schlotzsky's in years. Since there was still a location on Stage Rd in Bartlett. I went for lunch the other day it, and I've been missing out! The barbecue jalapeño pizza I had was amazing! I also had the half turkey guacamole sandwich, it left something to be desired but I ate it. They also serve Cinnabons, which was the main reason I went. Cinnabon was good as usual. Can't mess that up. Staff was nice. Place was quiet, not very crowded. I am so addicted to the sourdough bread!!! I always get the turkey bacon cheese and revel in it's unhealthy buttery-ness. I want to try so many other things but it's just SO tasty. The location sucks for me and the dining area is pretty rough. But they have amazing deals thru their app and have given me one of the best corporate customer service responses of my life. Being from Austin originally, I was so excited to find a Schlotzky's in Memphis. Be aware, Memphis hipsters, this is a chain, not a local place, so don't get miffed when you find out Elvis never ate here. Anyway, this is basically just good fast food sandwiches, pizzas, soups, and flatbreads with the added bonus of Cinnabons for dessert. Everything is good, especially the bread for the hot sandwiches. You can bank on that. My wife and I ate here for about $17. I ordered the Angus Beef and Cheese with a cup of Potato soup and she ordered the Chipotle Chicken Pesto Flatbread (well, she thinks she actually ended up with a different flatbread, but that's a different story). Both orders were delicious, although mine wasn't that warm when we got it; almost as if it had been sitting out waiting on hers to get done. On this particular restaurant here's what I can say: 1. It was clean. Even the bathrooms were spotless and neat. That always says a lot to me! 2. The location is a little hard to get in and out of, especially during high traffic times. Plan accordingly. 3. As already stated my food was a little too cool. 4. Everybody was really nice that worked there. Don't always get that at fast food joints. I like other delis and sandwich shops, but I love this place's Original (a take on the muffuletta). Their bread is the true champ, whether the sourdough or the rye normally use with the pastrami. It's nice adding pizzas and salads to the fare, but my deal is with the Original or deluxe Original for twice the meat. My alternate choices are the turkey or roast beef, but again, I can't emphasize how good the Original is to my taste buds. read more
