Ordered to go from here because we were staying next door. Ordered WAY too much food for two. The interior is very rustic downtown chic. The bartender went and got my food. She was extremely pleasant and welcoming. The portions are massive and the flavor intense. Jacob got the salad which had way more on it than explained. He loved it. I got the truffle sandwich and it was absolutely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It had two giant fried tenders on it which were juicy and crispy with their amazing wingman sauce. It also had a truffle aioli that was subtle but definitely delicious. The fries are season and crispy on the outside but creamy on the inside. We got the wingman platter. For the love of God this was incredible. The wings were juicy as well as nicely crispy. The flavors, now here's where they hit. There was a honey mustard, wingman, lemon pepper and a type of jerk curry. Well let's say this, I NEVER dipped. Not once. The seasoning on every one of these was magnificent. The curry was my favorite. It had a unique flavor with a kick. Best wings Ever!!! The place earns its name. We also had the rolls which were spicy and flavorful. Wouldn't pass on those either. Our last stop on our recent trip to Memphis was WingMan. Because DU was playing in the Frozen Four Championship, we opted to take this to go so that I could catch the game in our hotel room. The food took a bit to come out but it was well worth it. I ordered the Boneless BBQ wings with the Memphis Jookin' sauce. My mouth is watering as I write this! I had no idea what this sauce was, but figured that since it had 'Memphis' in its name, I couldn't go wrong. The wings were so good, but so spicy. I eat a lot of spicy food, but this is the first time that I was sweating so much that it seemed like I had just gone out on a run! I somehow finished 3 of these wings and pushed myself through. Came in on a Monday on our way to the airport. There were 2 people sitting at the bar, other than that we were the only ones in there. The interior is vibey, they had an amapiano mix playing at a reasonable volume, interior decor is cool. Now, the food. We ordered sweet chili wings, hot honey tenders and the nachos. Sweet chili wings-typical bottled sweet chili sauce; very sweet, the only thing was the wings themselves weren't very seasoned if at all. Hot honey tenders- very tender and the flavor was good; better than the wings imo and I'm not a big fan of tenders The nachos- the nachos! They got everything right with the nachos, highly recommend and there was more than enough for 2-4 people to share. Our server was new, but he did his best and was attentive and kind. WOW. Was walking near my hotel trying to find a bite to eat and could not have stumbled on a better spot. The food is incredible! Ordered the chicken tenders and the fire fries - you need them both. -The chicken was seasoned to PERFECTION and the wingman sauce is . The spices, sauce and presentation were all intentional and so, so good. -The housemade ranch is perhaps the best I've ever had. -Loaded fries were equally as tasty. Big portion and the distribution of the toppings made each bite amazing. The staff was gracious and super helpful. It was one their first days open and you couldn't tell! Can't say I would recommend this place to everyone. You walk in to a bar on the left with about 10 seats. The right has a couple round coffee tables and some chairs. After a minute of trying to figure out if there's additional seat further back, one of the gazers at the bar tells you to sit anywhere you like. We sat next door at Smurfey's BBQ. Had some wings at the bar the other night. They were fantastic! So, I came back about a week later... I went to wash my hands; there was some type of weird roach on the paper napkins. I decided to overlook this, because the wings were just so great the first time, and it was only one, so I thought... then I started walking back to the main eating area, but noticed a second roach crawling up the door opening into the kitchen... sat at one of the tables and saw a third roach crawling on the table. I felt icky... the dark, laid back, ambiance went from feeling chill to dirty. Made me wonder where else the roaches were "hiding" I did not want to bring roaches back home with me. I left. Food was great! They are definitely delicious wings! Service was poor they only had one person doing everything he was bartending, greeting, cooking and serving. He was a great guy though. Horrible experience! This place was recommended by someone in the hotel that we were staying in. Walked in and there were three people at the bar and no one sitting in the dining area. We waited at the door for a few minutes and didn't see any staff members so we sat ourselves. My boyfriend had to walk around a couple minutes and finally found someone working there. The guy came out in a t-shirt and some house slippers. He came to the table and brought a glass bottle of water, two plastic cups and some dirty menus and walked away. No one ever came to even take our drink orders. We waited about 20 minutes and just got up and left. I can't comment on the food because we never got to try it. read more
