I'm currently looking for a new mechanic for my F150. I just needed an oil change and tire rotation. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and did a good job at a reasonable price. At my previous mechanic the service manager would always walk thru the routine inspections they did during the service and discuss any potential issues. It was around Christmas time and I was on my to Florida from Michigan with my wife and two dogs, all the sudden my check engine light started flashing. I was having trouble with my Honda Odyssey and being new to the area, I Googled local automotive places. Springboro Automotive place came up with really great reviews. I was able to call and schedule an appointment the same week. When I brought my car in I was greeted by Bob, who I think runs the place. The shop outside and inside was abnormally clean for an automotive place and he was able to get my car fixed the very same day and did not try to upsell me. Being someone who takes pride in his vehicles, I'm very picky on who takes care of my cars, or even touches them. I found Bob, and his team at Springboro Automotive a couple years back, when I attempted a repair on my own, and completely butchered my car up, Bob took my car in without a problem, got me fixed and back on the road, he is probably one of the most honest Mechanics around (pretty contradictory eh?), I've developed a trust with Bob where I can just take the car in, and tell him my concerns and fix whatever needs to be fixed, and not have to worry about him ripping me off or replacing unnecessary parts. His pricing is better than anyone I've ever taken my car to, for example I had taken my car to Grismer 5 years ago when the fuel pump went out, and they charged me over $1,000 dollars for just the fuel pump, Bob had to replace that same fuel pump this year, with two brand new tires for around 8-900 bucks. If you want a great mechanic bring your car in here I recommend him to anyone I know, the man knows his stuff, and so does his team read more

My wife's GMC Terrain overheated. It's been serviced at a dealership since it was new over 6 years. You trust your dealer to check fluid levels because they're marked on your service report as filled. Took it to Springboro Automotive to get it checked out. Expecting a leak would be found or a thermostat or water pump or even a radiator problem. Most auto repairs will do something to hit you for a charge, not call you and tell you they put the system under pressure for hours and found nothing other then having to add 1 1/2 gal of antifreeze mix. SUV was serviced 3000 miles ago by dealership. Can't really say what happened but I appreciate these peoples honesty. They will be doing any repair I need and I highly recommend them to anyone needing their auto looked at for repair. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I was a regular customer there for a while and everything was good... until Bob tried to rip me off one day!! I noticed that he was trying to charge me $450 and the same part was only $180 at AutoZone. When I explained this to him he got upset and then tried to tell me that he ordered the part already (even though I didn't agree to it yet!). He even tried to make me pay a fee for cancelling the order! One of my co-workers recently told me that they tried to overcharge him as well.
