A couple of years ago I purchased two Daikin Ductless Heat Pump units from another supplier. One of the units has operated flawlessly since new but the other unit struggled from day one. We had the other company out for service calls on several occasions however they were not able to solve the problem and now that the unit is 30 days out of warranty, they want $1900.00 to repair it or $2200 to replace it. The parts would require two 0 four weeks lead time due to holiday shipping. I called Schneidecker to get a 2nd opinion and Paul met us at the house 48 hours later and did a full diagnostic on the unit. The fan motor had failed and when it did the unit stopped functioning and moisture accumulated on the circuit boards which destroyed them. Had the fan been repaired during the warranty period the unit would probably not have failed. Very Frustrating! Paul worked up a quote to replace the fan motor along with the circuit boards, clean an provide additional corrosion protection for the internal components and re-touch the paint on the exterior to make the unit look as good as new. The price: $843.00 The Lead Time: 3 days. Parts were ordered on Monday and installed on Thursday and the unit looks and runs like brand new. While there, Paul also cleaned and restarted the gas fireplace in the living room. It's too bad that we didn't contact Schneidecker in the first place but it's a mistake that I won't make again. read more

We are new to Newport, Oregon. When our heater failed, Paul (the owner) squeezed his already full schedule to make a service call to our home. He arrived when he said he would and was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He looked at our system and determined the problem to be the compressor fan motor. He had the motor in stock at his warehouse and returned to install it the same day. We were thinking we were facing thousands of dollars in repair costs, but Paul and Jason (incredibly gifted repair technician) determined that when the motor failed, it blew a little known fuse deep within the unit as well, causing a fault code on the unit. Because of their deep knowledge of the system and willingness to get to the true root cause of our system failure, we were saved significant time and money by not taking the normal (easy) action of replacing the control circuit board along with the failed fan motor. I can't express enough our appreciation for their diligence and expertise! Schneidecker Heating and Air installed our Daikin unit. I had heard about him from one of his clients in Tillamook. He has installed quite a few Daikins in the county because as a sole proprietor he was able beat the price that other companies had quoted. Were impressed that he was willing to travel from Newport to Tillamook to conduct business with no extra charge. Mr. Schneidecker was professional and kind during every step of this process. Our unit was installed in one day, It looks nice on the inside as well as the outside. We were very grateful that he shared the rebate offered by the electric company and the credit on our taxes. He appeared to have a very good working relationship with the electric company as well as with the electrical contractors. We are very pleased with our unit and the considerate nature of Mr. Schneidecker. I would absolutely refer him to anyone. Matter of fact we have shared our experience with others in our area. Our heat pump and indoor unit quit working in our rental in Newport and, apparently, had not been operating well for a number of years as the units were mismatched. Paul sized a heat pump replacement and also replaced the indoor air handler and installed a wireless thermostat controller which allows us to monitor our HVAC operations from our home in Vancouver, WA. We recently spent a few days at our rental and were pleasantly surprised to see how effective the new system was. Paul met us there and helped us download and set up our mobile phones and laptop devices with the app that allows us to control the thermostat operations. Schneidecker is my go to from now on. My heater decided to stop at 830 on a Thursday night and temperatures were in the 20's. I called a competitor at 730 Friday morning was told I would have service that day, didn't hear from them so called back and was treated terribly and told there was 5000 calls ahead of me so no service until next week. I called Schneidecker right after and Paul was there at 245 in the afternoon. Heater was fixed and he even made an adjustment the competitor failed to do. We have been having trouble with our heater since we moved in 4 years ago. We used a different company 4 times. They replaced the circuit board twice and the gas valve once, besides troubleshooting. Worked a bit then stopped. We decided to try Schneidecker. Within an hour he figured out the problem and replaced an inexpensive part for a very reasonable fee.
