We scheduled what should have been a simple routine cleaning of our wall unit in our office, but immediately after the technician left, we left on short trip and return 5 days later to find our unit stopped working. We had the company return, and a second technician told us the issue was with the circuit board. Now we're being told something completely different--that the compressor needs to be replaced for $699. This has been incredibly frustrating. Our home is new, and the unit was working perfectly before the cleaning. It's hard not to feel like something went wrong during that initial service visit. To make matters worse, even though the unit is still under warranty, we're being told it won't be covered because this company didn't install it. That doesn't sit right, especially given the timing of the failure. Overall, the conflicting diagnoses and lack of accountability have been very disappointing. We're now being asked to pay for a major repair that appears to have started right after their service. We had ZERO problems with the unit before the cleaning. I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution. read more

We called to have our furnaces maintained. The technician came out without the filters we needed and I assumed it would be easy to have Airrow come back and finish the job. When I telephoned the office I dealt with a rude unprofessional female who would not give me an appointment in the near future. I gave up and hired another company to come out and do the job properly. Waste of my precious time and resources. read more

Absolutely Piss Poor!! The $16970.00 job was supposed to be done 29 February 2024 but, 5 attempts and the 6th one scheduled in 2 weeks (25 April 2024) and my "One day" removal and install is still not done!! Never did they even try to give a discount to make up for the ridiculous hassle. I paid them in full today because I just want this nightmare to be done!! During the Ice storm Jan 2024 my house was hit with a power surge and I had to replace my whole Heater and heat pump system. Dave was very helpful getting the quotes for the insurance, but didn't itemize any thing which was a problem. I asked him for an itemized but it was never provided. 29 Feb the job and personnel that started and were outstanding. Unfortunately there was a family emergency ( I found out later) and the crew packed up and left at 2. The temp was in the 30s and 20s over night and we had nothing. I was lied to about the reason they had to go, using the Clean Effects air cleaner as the reason. They were scheduled to return 8 to 9 on March 4th. I had to call at 1030 and tell them to get out and get the heat on. It was 28 and snowing. Finally they showed around noon and got temporary heat working. Once again I was lied to blaming the air cleaner as the reason, it being the wrong size. On 22 March (3rd attempt) is when I was told the air cleaner was not compatible but, now I'm on the schedule on 25 April to have it connected. They were back out on 1 April and 3 April. 3 April they installed the mounting bolts on the heat pump that was installed on 29 Feb. I never had an issue with the workers, they are all professional. Communication was horrible, the workers didn't know where the last guy left off and what was left to complete. Job management and communication is an absolute train wreck! From 23 March until today 12 April I have been talking and emailing Riley and Dave just to get the final bill so I could end this disaster. Something as simple as "how much do I owe" turned in to two weeks of lies and teeth pulling. Today I paid the full amount for a "One day" install that still isn't done and will hit 2 months( if they can even complete it). I had the Mitsubishi PUZ-A42NKA7, PVA-A42AA7, 15Kw heat strips with Clean Effects air cleaner and MHK-2 thermostat "installed". I highly recommend the heat pump and heater, just would hire a company that will do what they say. read more

During our coastal ice storm on 1/13/24 we lost heat from our homes furnace. I called airrow heating first thing Monday morning and had a tech out to my house that same day. I'm not even sure where to start. From the beginning commutation was slow and and it took weeks to get a quote after they sent someone out to the house. One of the main components of the job never made it to the quote and wasn't installed. The installer said he'd have the office contact me to setup installation but after a week I had to contact them to get it started. A week and a half after installation the tankless water heater they installed failed to heat water and started leaking and of course there's no way to reach them after hours on a Friday and they aren't open all weekend. I had the sales persons cell phone number but he didn't return my messages. All in all, not a service I'd recommend. read more

So let me give you a run down here. First of all I want to say, Gavin (our installer) is awesome and deserves a raise. However, when we first spoke with Kevin in September he quoted us on our ductless systems AND having our bathroom fan ducted. These things were scheduled for Sept 20th, and they were all supposed to be installed that day. Despite having a written reciept/quote from Kevin, when Sept 20th rolled around the installer knew nothing of having the bathroom fan ducted and when he called Kevin, Kevin denied that he quoted us for that and if he did "he didn't remember". I was cool about it and said we could do it a different day, seeing as how our installer had been busting his ass on our ductless systems all day long, he apologized and said someone will be in contact with me to schedule the bathroom fan. So, a few days later I attempted to contact Airrow to get my bathroom fan done.....no returned call. I called a few other times, and finally emailed Kevin about it. He said someone would be in contact with me. Around the beginning of NOVEMBER (our original appointment was SEPTEMBER 20TH) I spoke with Ron who scheduled my appointment for December 6th, who said that's the earliest they could do since they were booked.....which I groaned at but was fine with, I just wanted it done. So on December 6th, I called Airrow to ask what time they would be at our house. Apparently, Ron had told me the 6th but scheduled it for the 7th, and in addition, the office lady who I spoke with told me that I needed to provide proof of the original quote given to us by Kevin because he did not remember ever quoting us. I sent in the proof that night. The next day, our installer was supposed to show up between 1p and 4p, and when they were late, we called up and got a hold of Ron, who "apologized" saying that he did not realize Kevin had actually quoted us and once he saw the proof he was sorry he didn't get us in sooner ......but bottom line here is that he didn't believe us and we got treated like crap because of it, despite my offering to show the installer the paperwork on Sept 20th when the original confusion occured. Anyways, our installer came around 530p on Dec 7th....which I do not blame him at all, he showed up to our house looking exhausted from a long day and i was just grateful he still came, and, like I said previously, Gavin is the ONLY reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Moral of the story here: We are for sure taking our business elsewhere. Don't go to Airrow. They don't give a crap about their customers. read more

I had a problem with my heater so I called Airrow Heating in Newport and they sent a technician out and he was right on time his name was Steve and he was very courteous & knew what he was doing. Garret and his crew were both professional, customer oriented and outfitted our beach home with the best in equipment. I worked with this company three years ago wanting to install a commercial restaurant hood. When you walk in the people are professional and pleasant. My first encounter a couple of years ago resulted in a bid I could not afford. I came back when I could afford it and Garrett who did the original bid responded quickly. I wanted to keep the job local as he had done the previous bid. He met with me as scheduled. Unfortunately this is where it gets bad. The bid was higher and I was OK as we had made changes. We were down to a final visit needing some final measurements for the air return. He missed two appointments without contact. I hope he is OK but they have a professional staff that never followed up. I even sent Garrett an email in frustration saying "I guess I am not a priority." Now I am going out of town to get the professional services I wish I could have gotten locally, I also was up saled for a bigger kitchen project that Arrow failed to even ask about. This company was ask to fix a gas furnace for an organization I am affiliated with. The technician spent less then an hour to look at it. He proceeds to tell us the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and had to be replaced. He then charged several hundred dollars for his visit. He then said if we bought a new furnace from Airrow within 10 days, they would apply the charge for the service call towards the new furnace. This kind of hard sell tactic threw up the shinanigan radar for us. We were able to get some other help and determined the problem was fixable and the heat exchanger did not appear to be cracked. Cost to fix $40! read more

Airrow talks up Mitsubishi ductless heat pumps, but they systematically fail to inform you if you live in a coastal location, as we do, that these units ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR COASTAL LOCATIONS. In the manual on page En-13 is written "Avoid installing the air conditioner in the following places:" (The 2nd item reads): "Salty places such as the seaside." The air conditioner relating to ductless heat pumps is the outside unit. When I mentioned this to Garrett after the unit went down for the second time, he dismissed this notion and attributed the problem to "probably an electrical surge in your area." I pointed out that we have and all-house surge protector, and that would be unlikely. He more or less just shrugged it off. It recently went down a third time, and the whole outside unit will need to be replaced. We are going with another provider and may be switching brands to Daikin. Our next door neighbors have one, and it is equipped and rated well for coastal locations. I DO NOT recommend Airrow at all. read more

I purchased two Daikin ductless units from Aiirow Heating. One has performed flawlessly since it was new. The other unit has had problems since day one. We arranged for a service call in 2013 and the technician turned the power to the unit off and then back on to "reset" the programming. The unit worked for roughly three weeks and then reverted to it's old tricks. We made several calls to Airrow Heating requesting service but were not able to get the problem resolved and two weeks ago (30 days out of warranty) the unit gave up completely. Airrow made a service call and determined that the unit was done....$1900 repair....4 weeks for parts or $2200 replacement 2 weeks for parts. We called the Daikin representative in Toledo who met us at the house the next day. The necessary parts were ordered on the following Monday and arrived on Thursday. Thursday afternoon the new parts were installed and the unit is running correctly for the first time. The cost: $840.00 which included the parts quoted by Airrow as well as a complete cleaning and paint touch up. While he was there he also cleaned and restarted the gas fireplace in our living room. read more
