I had some old scrap wood and pallets to get rid of along with an old twin metal bed frame that was bent. I have used these guys in the past for broken TVs and they have always provided a delightful customer experience. You have the options of leaving stuff out on the curb but I couldn't do that because of my HOA. Also, last time I had left a desk that someone snatched up from the curb. After dropping off I went to go weight and no one was tending the scale so I had to wait until I got tired of waiting. Went to the office to pay and the attendant was talking to others and overlooked us. We finally got to pay and left. Total was $53 and wait was 40 minutes with two garbage trucks ahead of us and the second bay open. It's not a bad a bad place to go if you have time or patience, but if you're in for a quick drop off then this probably isn't the place.

We lost our house in Wimberley to the May 2015 flood and called to get new cans (also lost in the flood). Months later we received a bill for service when we had had none. We had not lived there since the flood and any trash generated was driven to a local dumping area. They showed no record of our request and made us pay for service even though we never had any service. No understanding and no break in price. They know we have no other choices and act accordingly. A funny side note is when you are hold waiting for customer service, a nice grandmotherly voice tells you how nice their customer service is and how the company is family owned and run but when you talk with them, they are not helpful or kind about their inability to be of the service you hoped to get. We have called more than once and every time it is unpleasant. Driving to the dump may be more pleasant.

I decided to check several hauling companies before settling on Pick Up Haulers. Chris was the…read moreonly company that actually had a verbal conversation with me so we would be on the same page . I had estimates from $200 to over 1K $$$ when I sent out a list of items I anticipated needed to be removed. One of the many things I liked about Pick Up Haulers is that they do their best to sort everything that they pick up and try to recycle it at the appropriate places instead of just taking it all to the landfill. They ended up spending more than a couple of hours lifting and carrying stuff out to their flatbed trailer /they also disassembled a trundle bed and were able to take it in the mattress to the truck . They determine their price based on the amount of space (? Cubic feet )We ended up using about 3/4 of their space on their large flatbed trailer and the fee was just a little over $300. I felt that was very fair for the services provided. Texas in May isn't usually quite as hot & humid as the Friday we moved. I enjoyed Chris and the young man that was his employee. They were very respectful and understood our situation. I would definitely use them again and plan to whenever we decide to move!! One thing I will say is that after this experience I definitely feel that less. (much less.!!) is more! LOL
