I previously had a storage unit with another company in Austin where someone tried breaking into the unit by driving through the wall resulting in damage to my stored property. The management knew it had occurred, but never contacted me about it and let me discover it on my own. I am glad I moved my stored items to Bastrop Guardian. As long as Michael is caring for the property I expect to use their service for a long time. My advice to new renters...take the time to read all of the information Michael gives you. It will provide all the answers you need and prevent any misunderstandings. Ive read the negative reviews and checked it out for myself. Its apparent those people didnt take the time to read or were just dumbasses to begin with. ‍

The whole place is secured with gates and personal codes to get in the gate and then an additional one for the door into the building. 10/10 would recommend.

It is still standing today, just like it was. I lost my key and stopped to see if I could get a replacement. He was so kind and considerate. He gave me a new lock and told me how to replace it at no cost. Thankfully I found my late husband's key in a drawer. I'm returning the lock next week but really appreciated his offer to help me since I couldn't order another key. Be sure to check out this place anytime you need something. When you perhaps need a lock cut or need anything of the storage unit nature, it's not as easy as walking into their office. But when you have the appointment, they are so helpful and nice. I suppose that's really not so bad considering the decent price in this small storage unit operation. The units are just fine and what makes this place special is the unique, local vibe to it. There are large gaps between the doors and the ground, but that can be fixed with some plastic wrap if you're super concerned about it. Overall, I'd recommend this facility to anyone who's looking in the area.
