This is an absolutely amazing company with great, durable furniture and customer service that is leaps and bounds above any other. I bought one of their bunk beds (from Costco as I recall) over 16 years ago, and have moved, disassembled, and re-assembled it many times since. The design is smart and sturdy, and it is simple and fast to disassemble and re-assemble, even simpler than smaller items like chairs and coffee tables I have purchased from competitors. During my last move, the movers lost some of the hardware for the bed. I called these guys up (16 years later, mind you), and they knew exactly what bed I had and sent me the missing hardware via first class mail to my home in California so I could get back to reassembling the bed and settling in to my new house! Compare this to the experience folks are used to these days with fly-by-night online sellers who may not be in existence a few months later, much less answering the phones and supporting their products after nearly two decades. This level of stability and integrity is how business was done in the old days, and this experience has not only drawn me back to Epoch's product line, but encouraged me to think critically about where I source my other products. Needed wanted a futon. Had been in previously. Not cheap, but good. Gabriel helped me find the combination of futon frame, mattress, and mattress cover that worked for me. When it was delivered, assembly was required. A friend and I put most of it together but ran into trouble attaching the back with the rollers to the frame. Phone calls and emails were quickly answered to no avail. I talked to Gabriel who voluntarily came over after he got off work. It was complete in 30 minutes. Excellent product. I ordered a coffee table with two matching end tables through Costco. While I love the furniture there was a missing knob. After contacting the company and receiving numerous promises from Gabriel to send me the missing knob I have yet to receive the one I need. For some reason, even after sending photos, they sent four wooden knobs instead of the single metal knob I need. Profuse apologies on Gabriels part with promises to send me the correct knob has yielded nothing. I did receive a tracking number that was never received by the post office. Gabriel apologized again and send he would personally resend two knobs. I only want one but what the heck. The last promise was made over a week ago and still no knob. MY KNOB ARRIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY. I HAVE INCREASED THE STARS FOR THE COMPANY TO 4. THEY DID FOLLOW THROUGH SO I AM PLEASED. read more

WOW, I can't even say enough about how NICE everyone I have dealt with at Epoch has been. I had wanted to buy one of the Epoch bamboo bedroom sets from Costco but they sold out so quickly that by the time I was ready to purchase (having had to sell our own bedroom furniture first) they were no longer on the website. SO, I contacted Epoch directly and talked to them about getting the same set directly from them. I had everything I needed delivered to me within a week!! I dealt with several different customer service people and they all bent over backwards for me. I would recommend them to anyone! Plus, the furniture is OUTSTANDING. Epoch Design makes extremely high quality furniture and has consistently great service. I bought a dresser 3 years ago that is still in great shape despite how full I stuff it. I recently decided to purchase the matching nightstand and a stain pen to color in a few scratches on the dresser and Gabriel was extremely helpful on the phone and provided great customer service. I didn't had the feeling that they are really expecting people to come by to have a look in the showroom... You have to ring the bell so they can let you in, the showrooms are pretty small and most of the presented furniture is for children... Not really helpful when you're looking for a bigger bed. The employe was nice but I couldn't say that he was really helpful. We visited their website so we knew what we wanted to see and he had to look it up in the computer to know what we meant. If that happens in a really big store I am the last person to say something but with their limited choices I would think that the staff has in mind what they have. Well... we ended up not buying anything. But as far as I have seen and touched the furniture that was present they do a pretty good job. Everything seems to be pretty sturdy and well made. read more

I have bought a couple of furniture pieces from them @ Costco, my first purchase was the The McKenzie Hardwood Bunkbed, the quality is great ( i've had it for a couple of years and it has no worn out) the design is classy with a modern edge. I recently acquired the Pacifica Media Console, which is truly gorgeous and it was easy to assemble, looks Great, Sturdy. A great addition to my living room! I purchased a "Cameron" dresser 4/27/2014 directly from epoch designs website and opted to do the warehouse pickup in Redmond on 4/28 considering there was a savings incentive to do so. The drive is an hour from my house but the savings was better than the cost to drive there. I paid over $600 for a simple 4 drawer dresser, hoping for better quality due to it being "hardwood" construction. When I got the dresser home, there were multiple areas of "bubbling" where the thin wood veneer finish piece was de-laminating. Additionally, the drawer function was not smooth on two of the drawers and one of the drawers was lining up with the other three. This quality of dresser is exactly what I would have expected from a $300 pricepoint. I called immediately the next day, 4/29, and spoke to Mike the Store Manager about having them pick it up and deliver me another. He explained since I did the warehouse pickup, I would be responsible to get it back to them. I wasn't happy about this and tried explaining to him that the cost savings to me was the trade off so you didn't have to deliver it the first time. All subsequent damage issues should be taken care of by the company. He initially sighted their policy online. We both went to their website on-line to look at the policy and the policy mentioned nothing of the sort. If anything their policy supported me. He even admitted that the policy didn't support what he was saying, but he still told me that I'd be responsible to come drop off the old and pick up the new. I asked to talk to the owner since this was the only one above Mike to give feedback and he said no. Not a good customer experience and overpriced furniture for what was paid. Wish I could have purchased just the one piece through Costco, their customer service is much better. read more

Here's my 10 year timeline with Epoch and why we are return customers. We bought a bedroom set 10 years ago from Costco online - unseen. We were happy with the quality when it arrived. I called Epoch when I couldn't locate some hardware. I only wanted to know which pieces we were missing so I could pick them up at the hardware store - but they insisted on mailing the pieces to us. A few years ago we went back to purchase a loft bed from their Redmond location. We went there because they are local and we know they make quality furniture. A friend was asking where we got the bed because she wanted one for her daughter too. Last week a piece broke on our original set. I called and spoke to Neal. He found a substitute part since they had not carried my set for years. As it turned out, the piece he had didn't match. I had to come back later, but they located the piece and the bed is back together now. Everyone there has always been nice and helpful. read more

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED...I ordered a loft bed for my granddaughter and I was told ETA was 9-11 days and it's been a month and still no delivery. I am shocked as I purchased online through Costco and am disappointed that they couldn't even escalate the delivery being it is way overdue. We wanted a quality bed for our son that will last a long time. We found Epoch, ordered the Cameron bed with trundle and couldn't be happier. The bed is SOLID, made incredibly well, and is heavy. I know this thing will be a lifetime piece. I picked it up from their Redmond showroom, which admittedly isn't fancy as some reviewers suggest, but I could care less about fancy when I'm getting good quality for a fair price. The salesman was very knowledgeable and passionate about their products and construction. It's great too see companies who still care about quality in today's world. We will certainly be back for more beds for our other two kids. read more

They also make the Mail Boss which is a large lockable mailbox. We live near the ocean and even the salt air has not damaged it after 3 1/2 years. We bought a second Boss for another property and just installed it this week. There was a problem with the lock and Christopher took care of the problem asap. I ordered a dresser through Costco from Epoch Design. The first time, there was a chip on the corner of the top surface. They exchanged it. When the second dresser arrived, a drawer knob was missing. I called customer service, and they mailed a replacement drawer knob to me which did not match the rest of the drawer knobs. I called again and they mailed another one, but it still did not match. The drawers don't line up correctly either. The quality of the product really needs improvement. However, the customer service is very good. read more

Wonderful customer service! I went in looking for a few parts I was missing (through my own fault, not theirs) and they printed up the parts list in a flash, got me everything I needed at no charge and even apologized for the time it took to get it, like I'd be mad!
