In the beginning, I use to get a quote from Dave, run home and do some shopping around, then end up always coming back to have them work on the vehicle. They are certainly good at what they do and don't rip you off doing so. Now it's the only place I send my vehicles and have recommended friends and family there all the time. For a place run by two guys, they turn things around pretty quick! Definitely book ahead a week or so and get your car there the night before. I've lived in multiple areas over the last few years: Wyomissing, PA; Boston, MA; West Hartford, CT; Ardmore, PA. I make it a point to always get work on my car done by Lee or someone at his shop. I cannot tell you the amount of times I went to a mechanic near where I lived and felt the price was a bit high, and then went to Lee who works with you to see what you need. Even if I don't need an oil change, I'll get it done early when visiting the parents for a long weekend or holiday because they are that good and that's how much I trust him. For example, this one time I went to a mechanic in Wyomissing and he said I need four new tires. He almost didn't let me leave unless I got new ones. I went to Lee and he said only two were needed and the other two could wait until the fall (before winter). There's no guarantee I'd come back to Lee again in the fall to get those other two tires done. This was just one of many, many examples. He isn't about money. He's about trust. I cannot stress enough how honest he is, especially for a mechanic that sometimes get bad reputations. My suggestion: Go to Lee and get your car done. If he says you need something, he really means it. There's no buyers remorse from him or wondering afterwards if he was just trying to sell me.

I took the car back for repairs and afterwards had an insanely loud noise that was difficult to pinpoint where it was coming from. Having no warranty or clue where the noise was coming from I never called autoproved. When I could finally afford to have the car looked at the shop told me that the under guard had no clips attached. Driving off I still had a rattle. When arriving at home I tapped the right front fender and could hear pieces knocking around. I pulled them out, a clip, and 2 pieces I have no clue what they are. After pulling those parts out, I still heard the rattling. Looking underneath to see where they "fixed " the bumper they failed to put clips back there as well. The shop who fixed under guard suggested I give the bill to autoproved. I did just that and words cannot express how badly I was treated as a customer. I was first told that they had no way to prove that the shop I took it to didn't cause the problem. Attaching clips underneath had zero to do with pieces in fender or missing clips on bumper. I'm a widow, vulnerable in that I'm not proficient in knowing the dos and don'ts in purchasing a vehicle. I paid 70$ for parts and labor and they refused to compensate me. I was first told that they would not because 3 months had passed since I purchased the car. I checked and I was literally one day under. I informed them of that fact and was then told that I would still not receive a refund. After telling me the reason no refund being given was due to being over 3 months, I was told I simply would not get a refund due to the principal. If principal is at hand here, then to literally say a policy was thus and then deny abiding by it shows without question that their principal behavior lacks customer service, compassion, empathy, and they have horrendous quality service. I am not an argumentative person. I'm a financially struggling widow and despite informing the individual at autoproved about my circumstances, I was lied to and told that principal is what was making them both lie and show zero consideration to their failures in "fixing " the bumper and failing to clip the guard back in place. I'm a bit wiser now concerning the dos and don'ts in purchasing a car and I will never consider going back to them if my life depended on it. Principal would have me rather die first. I implore you, if you're considering going there and are reading this review that is the first I've ever left, do not go to this dealership. Just the hint of having any resemblance of what I experienced is reason to avoid them.

Bought new tires at Pep Boys, had them aligned at Pit Stop…read more 5000 miles later I went to Pep Boys for a rotation and the mechanic showed me the wear on the inner rear tread. My new tires were balded already! Pep Boys put the car on their machine, and showed me how badly the rear was misaligned! Pep Boys said there was no way that road conditions could have caused the problem. According to Pep Boys, only an incompetent alignment could have ruined my tires. Furthermore, when I went to Pit Stop to document the problem, they talked in circles and were very harsh. They refused my $63 refund after their own report showed that I walked out the door with bad alignment! I have all the paperwork and an expert mechanic's written statement of the bad alignment. Next stop for Pit Stop is small claims court This is costing me new tires, days off and all kinds of aggravation; I will be compensated. And I will update this review.

BAD ASSES OF THE VALLEY…read more I went to Firestone Allentown when I experienced car trouble. I thought it was the transmission given the way it sounded and that I could not find any other examinable source of the noise. I tried to get my vehicle to this shop but my vehicle could not make it, and so I walked the last five minutes of the drive. Firestone was able to send a tow truck an hour and half later and retrieve the vehicle. They promptly looked at it and discovered the problem was with a brake caliper coming off. This was a simple fix, and as was necessary, they continued to examine the entire brake system and the remainder of the car for defects. Although one may argue this was an attempt to get more money, they found profound problems with the rear brakes. I know enough about brake systems to know if one leaks and gets air into the system then the whole system has no ability to stop the vehicle. So I had the rear brakes repaired as well. They also identified my vehicle was burning oil, so they added some. Some of the other problems with the vehicle Firestone identified I did not have anything done about since they were negligible problems for the time being. They did a great job showing me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. They did not charge me for towing, nor for rotating the tires since all of the tires were off the vehicle anyway. They fixed things relatively fast given I had not made an appointment. The three staff members I dealt with were always courteous and the price was fair. I have no complaints about Firestone and they performed from start to finish like true bad asses. I would recommend these men and this Firestone to anyone.

After $1600 they didn't fix anything, said it would be another $1500 to continue with no guarantee of fixing it. They didn't want to continue. I took the loss and took it to a dealership, they found the problem and fixed it for under a thousand dollars. Firestone also had the audacity to list other repairs for over $2000, I would never go back there, and never go there with air conditioning problems. They should have given me money back.
