Strohl Automotive Services are by far the best & most welcoming group of people I ever dealt with honest,reliable & reasonable.We broke down because of a failed repair on a spark plug that was done in Conn.they inspected the head and the damage was to bad. Our option was to have the head replaced because this was the second time the Plug insert was replaced and failed both times,the Strohls people said it was not worth trying to repair because the spark plug hole was now out of round.So they did the replacement head,one in two days time,& we were back on the rd. heading back to our home in North Carolina with our camper in tow truck ran great and is still going strong!Grateful job guys Thank you from the Jamiesons N.C. highly recommend these guys very professional!! read more

The actual cost is always way more than the estimate. The actual manufacturer's dealership may be the way to go. They never explain any warranty on the installed parts. They do say thank you when you pay. I'm on the fence about using them again. There are worse places! Probably convenient for simple repairs. read more

This was my first experience with Strohl's. My 2017 Lexus Rx-350 needed inspection. They fit me into their schedule in less than a week. They overcharged me $250 to replace a fog light connector. $130 for an hour of service. Today was my final time at Strohls Auto.

I have had nothing but issues and frustration with Strohl. I bought my vehicle from them less than 5 months ago. I've had had my car in their shop several times with issues regarding the fuel pump. They supposedly replaced a sensor. A couple weeks later they replaced the fuel pump as I was still having issues with it. Each time I have been more and more frustrated. I ended up going to another mechanic who replaced the fuel pump and told me it looked as if it was never replaced to begin with. There's has been nothing but dishonesty, a lack of care, and being over charged. I'm absolutely disgusted and will never be going back. They are crooks. Do not go here read more

Doug went above and beyond when it came to finding me the car I wanted to replace my first one that was totalled this past summer. He worked with me to keep my payments where I wanted them and kept communication with me throughout the entire process. And as an added bonus they provide free inspections for the lifetime of your car if you buy it from them! Name brand dealerships are great and all but there is always an tangle for them to make more money, but when I deal with Ted and Doug I feel like I'm treated like a real person and not and addition to the numbers. BUYER BEWARE: I picked up my car from this place last year in OCT 2017. Inspection sticker was good till Aug 1, 2018, well took it to get inspected, garage called said Check Engine light is on, I said what never saw it, well they took dash off and Light was Cover over in Black Tar!!! I called Strohl, told them and they had attitude of Oh Well, nothing we can do???? What I just brought this car from you, didn't you even check it for safety?? You mean to tell me both my catalytic converters went within those 8 months?? I asked them to pay for at least half, they said NO, and not even an offer to help fix this issue. Now I'm not sure if it happened there or where they got it from, but I think they should have at least taken some responsibility for as they are the ones selling the cars. They are con artists. They tried to offer $2,000 for 2006 fully loaded limited edition ford explorer because "he heard a knock." He continues to say it would cost 3,000 to fix it but not exactly sure it it is indeed the engine even though we had it looked it and its fine when a ford dealership offered $6,000. He proceeded to agree with me that they would list it for at least $9,500 but would offer $5,000 if it wasn't for the knock. He was trying to make a con artist profit. Even if he "fixed" it for 4,000 he would still make a $3,500 profit. I can get 2,000$ at the junk yard!!! Don't go there unless you want to be ripped off! read more

I just bought a 2011 Nissan rogue from them and I have not been happier. Not only is the car great, but the people there were nice and didn't bs my fiancé and I. Most dealerships will try and screw you over. They don't care about you or your needs, they just want to make a sale and get paid. Ted wasn't like that. Thank you for everything. We were on our way to NH from NC in Sept., 2018 when our truck broke down. We were towing a camper and both were towed to Strohl's. It took a week to get the part and fix the truck. The people there couldn't have been nicer. One employee even towed us to a campground with his personal vehicle so we wouldn't have to continue to pay for a hotel. The work was top notch and we were on our way without a problem. I would give them a higher than five star rating if possible. read more

I wish this site had a negative star rating, as one star indicates better than zero, which for this place is absolutely not the case. My $60 dollar state inspection allegedly 'revealed' a loose tie rod end, so the guy on the phone said the cost was now $149 out the door, including the inspection (which i asked specifically). 2 hours later when i showed up to get the car the price was over $200. WTF??? Cant count? They hire only the finest and most educated here i guess. This service was for a 2009. I asked for the part they replaced and there was less than 0.005" vertical play in the part! THIS IS NOT A ROAD WORTHINESS ISSUE! THIS PLACE HAS A HISTORY OF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF FOR PARTS LIKE THIS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE REPLACEMENT! Continue searching reviews on this place, apparently I am not the only one victimized by them for 'bad tie rod end'. Very suspicious... I have worked as machinist and mechanic before I became an engineer. There is no way a mission critical part like a tie rod end will go to a point of danger and failure after only 5-6 years of gentle less than normal use. I have personally only had ONE go to point of failure in my entire lifetime. That car was over twenty years old at the time... I paid the bill, unhappily. I then reminded the entire office that i had (stupidly) spent several thousand dollars with the firm over the last couple years on various cars, and that there was a LAST time for everything. I hope they felt that the last $150 they pried out of my pocket was worth it! Spread the word far and wide, RUN (do not walk) as fast as you can away from such a sorry, crooked little place. Went to Strohl to buy a ford van. Found what I thought was a nice van. The van had an odor of air freshener. Got the van home and when the air freshener dissipated the van was left with a horrible odor. the owner Doug Strohl told me it was mildew and charged me $312.70 to change a floor mat, on top of the $18400.00 I had already spent. A few days later the odor came back. They are now refusing to fix my problem. I'd stay away from this rip off dealer They are dishonest , they say "complete satisfaction "on their site. I am sure you will have the same experience. DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALER read more
