It was my first time at Scioto Downs and I had a lot of fun at the Racino (Casino at a Horse Racing Track) with having dinner at The Brew Brothers. I enjoyed having a FREE fountain Coca-Cola product like Diet Coke. I will be back at Eldorado Scioto Downs again and eating at the new Guy Fieri Italian restaurant soon.

Came here for a work event. This place was awesome. I loved the horses and even placed a few bets. The casino was super nice and clean. Played a few slots but didn't win like usual. Had a good time and enjoyed the place. Will make sure to bring the wife next time and let her lose more money. We will have to try the food next time and hope they have some onion rings or pizza.

Another win!

This is without a doubt the worst casino I have ever been to. Between the payouts and food, do not waste your time.

Cold food, flies landing on food in the Buffet and complaints ignored since July. And food poisoned on last visit.

Apologizing is a good thing but, not giving them back or any other incentive other than an apology sounds like someone just trying to make Hollywood look like they've done something to look better. I came in and gave you my money then was given $10 only to have that taken away is. Not much incentive to return. I will be going to Eldorado today to take advantage of the $20 free play I mentioned as it starts today and that is an incentive for me to go visit. Thanks for the apology but it really seems quite stingy when a big casino takes $10 from a player then is told there was $15 which I never seen and I checked my Penn account and it is still $0 After someone takes something from you then apologizes , it's not much incentive to go back and if Hollywood is really not into incentives that's okay but I would feel the same way if someone took money from me in any other way. If you want to make it right, let me know but an apology doesn't make it right in my book. Have a great day and hopefully your marketing team is better than what I've experienced. I would like to add that I improved the rating from one star to three over an apology and I know $10 is a petty amount to be upset over but, if the offer is supposed to be good for six months then that's a violation of your policy regardless of how I feel. If you can't see how it looks to take $10 from a disabled veteran and maybe I'm wrong and if so I'll apologize but, it doesn't look good from here. Now I'm feeling very upset and when thinking about it, it just seems someone or your system is not working right. 82d Airborne Division ALL THE WAY!!!

I really wanted to like this Moxy more than I did. The location is great and the hotel looks…read moredecent, but the property itself feels dated and like it needs some attention. I knew the rooms were small , that's part of the Moxy concept and clearly advertised. No issue there. But as someone traveling for work, the fold-away desk was basically useless to me because there wasn't a single outlet anywhere near it. Such a strange design choice. And the coffee situation drove me nuts. I already don't love that there's no coffee maker in the room, but I get it - that's the concept. So I came downstairs at 7:45 a.m. to get the advertised coffee...and it was completely empty. No coffee upstairs. No coffee downstairs. At 7:45 in the morning. Come on. There were also a handful of maintenance issues. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel pumps in my room were all broken. The staff quickly took care of it when I called, which I appreciated. The main front door was also broken during my stay and was just a pain to deal with. Now for the good part: the staff was genuinely friendly. The bar activities were easily the highlight of the stay, trivia night was a blast, and Aja behind the bar was amazing. She was welcoming, fun, and exactly the kind of person you want behind the bar at a Moxy. Overall, great people and a good location, but the hotel itself needs some love. Aja and the bar experience saved this from being a much more disappointing stay.

This was an unacceptable experience, and I would strongly advise others not to stay here…read more I reserved a room for my family after a concert and cancelled approximately 72 hours in advance. Despite cancelling within that timeframe, I was charged the full amount due to a "special event" policy--something that was not made sufficiently clear at the time of booking. I immediately contacted Marriott International customer service. While the representative was helpful and opened a case, I was told the hotel would follow up within five business days regarding a refund. That follow-up never happened. After two weeks with no communication, I contacted Marriott again and was informed that the hotel refused to issue a refund and would reach out directly. Once again, no one from the hotel ever contacted me. To make matters worse, the hotel was fully booked the night of my reservation, meaning the room was re-rented while I was still charged in full. Keeping my payment under these circumstances is not just disappointing--it reflects extremely poor business practices. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to resolve a reasonable concern is unacceptable. I will not stay here in the future and will be discouraging others from doing so as well.

Westin Hotel's Great Southern, Columbus Ohio…read more Mid-May 2026 I needed to be at a court hearing at the Common Pleas Court in Columbus, Ohio. Best choice: the Great Southern, now part of the Westin brand. The Great Southern is a two-block walk to the twin courthouses for Common Pleas (Civil, Criminal, Domestic) so it's a sure and short walk from the hotel to the court. The room was simply furnished - no chair but a chaise lounge sofa; one USB port; no single-use plastics, a good blackout curtain, and a nightlight in the bathroom light switch. There's a bar on site, and on the same block there's Dempsey's for pub food. Best thing for those on a budget who are arriving by air at CMH: the COTA bus #7 departs from the airport and stops in front of the hotel, for $2 (or a day pass costing $4.50). Note that the return trip is best taken at Mound and 4th Streets, about four blocks from the hotel. There's a Dollar store four blocks from the hotel, and a broad selection of restaurants within a 15-minute walk. Cost for one night: Room Charge - Standard Retail $283.00 plus state ($22.64) and local taxes ($28.30) for a one-night total of $333.94. Perfectly reasonable in the area, especially for those with business at the courthouse. The room was clean, quiet, and accessible throughout. I was recognized as a Bonvoy member, was able to enter my room before check-in time without having to pay for the benefit. Check-out was seamless, and the front desk (Jennifer on check-in) was pleasant and efficient. Columbus was my home for more than 30 years, and it's a wonderful place to visit. COSI is a ten-minute walk from the hotel; the marvelous Columbus Zoo is a 20-minute drive and always well worth it. While I hope I won't need more court appearances, if I do, I'll include Westin's Great Southern Hotel in my list of possible hotels.

The hotel has some history and kinda made me feel nostalgic how it is architected and decorated…read more There were some older portraits all over the hotel and in the main elevator, they framed a hand written letter from Ernest Hemingway. Everything was clean and it was a good stay. The bedroom was a little on the smaller side especially the width of the standup shower. I didn't mind since I'm a smaller guy but I can imagine bigger people feeling scrunched. But I did like the combo shower head and the water pressure. Prices were ok. Staff was pleasant. The fitness center had decent equipment and free weights and had a lot of space plus free bottles of water and fresh towels to use. There are some decent bar restaurants in the area plus a river walk nearby. I Ubered but I did notice a $40 valet parking for those who have a car. Overall a good stay.
