Tammy always makes my hair look its very best and has never tried to upsell me. When I have questions or suggestions, she is honest about what will work and what won't. I've always had great service from Tammy. I find her and her staff very professional, but in a relaxed way. You can tell that they all enjoy what they do, and they enjoy being there. They all seem to act as if they are a big, loving family. It shows in how they treat each other and how they treat their customers. I would definitely recommend the Palm Spa.

She took the time to talk about what I wanted for my hair and explained how she would make that happen. I got color and highlights, as well as a trim. I love love love the color. It's multi-dimensional and I've gotten tons of compliments. As for the haircut, I was just getting trimmed up, and she did exactly what I asked. For the amount of time spent (three hours) and the products used (I have a lot of hair), the price of $125 was very fair. I'm sure you can go to a chain salon and get cut and color for cheaper, but they are probably not going to take the time that Stephanie did on my hair. Chromatin offers many other services (nails, etc.) that I hope to try in the near future. I definitely recommend it for hair coloring service.

Michael looks like a combination of Edward Scissorhands with a waistcoat and some steampunk vibes going on. His energy can be described as lively and friendly and you immediately know, this guy knows what he is doing and he is an artist! He has multiple locations, and I sat in an antique barber chair on the Quarrier St. location. I had wanted a modern shag cut with a specific fringe and had a picture. He knew exactly how to make it happen and watching him cut hair is nothing short of magic! As he made his way around my head, cutting, swishing and thinning, I could tell he was sculpting something good out of something drab. ( He even had me turn my head upside down for him to balance the cut!) I have to mention he has his OWN private label hair products and they smell AMAZING. (I recommend the honey shampoo/conditioner) I couldn't be happier with my hair, and that is no easy feat as I am a picky little brat. Charleston is lucky to have him for those of us who want rock-star hair, or a precision pixie he is the guy! This man is a trained Barber/ Stylist combo, so when you find that, you better not let go.
