Worst groomer Ever! We brought our pups to her for the first time and it will be our last. I dropped them off first so I could eliminate time in cages. Which was at 9am. After 1pm I called because it was a very long time already and she informed me that she just started my dogs cut. I was very upset. She told me 30 minutes so I drove there at that time. She wasn't even ready. When I calmly expressed my disappointment... she told me I could find another groomer. I was floored by her response. There was no apology or attempt to make it right. If the owner treats adults this poorly, I can't imagine how she treated my pups. One has been off since I brought her home. Do not take your dogs here. The groomer cut my dogs tail and I needed to rush her to the vet!!! she needed stitches and because of the clotting powder she put in the open wound my dog lost a part of her her tail. this place is terrible!! the groomer is refusing to pay for the additional vet bills that were a result of her negligence. I am forced to update my review and I HATE having to do this. After moving into the area, I found this location. I read the reviews and they looked reputable so, I began bringing my sweet girl here. During a 6 month span, I brought my pup here 3 times to be groomed. Recently while playing with her I noticed she yipped. I couldn't figure our what I had done to hurt her, my dog walker said the same thing happened to her. Upon examination I noticed this grommet NEVER clipped her Dew Claws. They were so bad they were growing back into her paws! I made an emergency call to Aussie Mobile Pet Grooming who saved the day! Thankfully, she does not need to se a Vet! I will warm everyone against going here and I hate to do that to any business. read more

Jennifer is the only person I trust with my rescue pup. My dog comes from a puppy mill and shakes anytime he see's a stranger or hears loud noises, so naturally I was so hesitant on taking him to a groomer because I didn't want to traumatize him. Jennifer is so good with animals and I was shocked to see my dog wasn't shaking uncontrollably when I picked him up. Her work is also very quality which is obviously important, but her ability to handle my dog with such care is what I really value the most. read more

Just picked up my dog and they did an awful job! Doesn't look like she even had a haircut except for the places where it's completely uneven and you can see the chop job that they did. We specifically asked for the shortest cut and she looks exactly as she did when she went in just patchy and worse. Definitely not worth the money when Shaggy Chic is right down the street for only a few dollars more. read more

The owner has the worst attitude and is extremely aggressive. It gets worse, my friend brought her dog in last Thursday and as we were pulling into the parking lot, we see her dog running around in between moving cars. Not only was no one looking after Beau but he was aimlessly wandering and could have been hit by a car!! My friend and I jumped out of the car and grabbed him. By the grace of god he was alive. We went in to talk to the owner and hash out what exactly happened and she had no idea Beau wasn't in the cage. Yelling and screaming was all that took place besides victim blaming. This place is so unprofessional and should not be in charge of animals lives. read more

It was our first time going to Scissors & Suds and it was our last. We usually take our dog to Touch of Class (which is amazing, would recommend) but this time couldn't. Scissors & Suds was the only pet grooming place available on such short notice and our dog was in desperate need of a wash, nail clipping, and a little trim. We were in for a surprise after he was done though. They hadn't clipped his nails and did a terrible job cutting around his back end. He was all itchy from the shampoo that they used and they even got it in his eyes which made it irritated and red. When we picked him up he was so excited but when we got home he was exhausted from all the stress he had while being there. It was truly a horrible experience and a waste of $65. So please don't take your dog there for their own sake. read more

Stay Away!!! Worst groomer I've ever experienced in my life. They completely destroyed by dogs cut and coat, didn't properly trim her nails and left powder caked all over the inside of her ears. Completely uneven lopsided haircut and did not follow the photos I presented as an example of how she is normally styled. When I complained, the owner said "don't worry the hair will grow back". The owner of this place is so rude, it's not even funny. She keeps yelling and lecturing the dogs owners and telling people they shouldn't have dogs or cats if they "don't know how to treat them". She forgot that her clients bring her their pets so she will do what they don't really want to do. She gets paid for that. We had been bringing our dogs here for years, originally. This last time we brought them, they were the first ones to arrive in the morning at 9am and the last ones to leave at 7:20pm. One of our dogs has trauma from his past life before coming to live with us. He slipped his collar before getting into the groomer, he came back thankfully. Then the owner suggested we should get a spike choke collar for a very docile and sweet 20 something pound dog. We called several times throughout the day to ask when our dogs would be ready, just to be responded with "I'll call when they're ready." She did not even call us, by the time it was 7pm, we just went in because that is an unacceptable amount of time to leave dogs locked in a cage, in an already stressful environment. Said no words as leaving, will not be bringing our dogs back. Not to mention, they also had an exorbitant amount of pee when they got home, as if they had not gone all day. And drank a tremendous amount of water. This was unacceptable treatment. We dealt with you being rude to us for years as well. This is not how you treat clients who bring you their family and trust their lives and emotions with you while they are there. read more

This owner is incredibly rude and just made my wife cry. We took our cat to be trimmed and the owner said we are neglectful and should not own a cat! We RESCUED this cat from the pound and it was in terrible condition. We spent a fortune bringing it back to health. Owner said I" don't give a damn about your wife" when I said she was very harsh on my wife. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. With so many other places to go, don't give this person any money. She cussed at me several times, spoke over me and treated me like garbage. We love our animals Jennifer. Don't tell us we don't. How dare you? We rescue ALL the animals we have ever had and have taken very good care of them. Persian cats are new to us and we are learning. She also called us "poor" and shamed us for not going out during the quarantine to have the cat done earlier. We are professional people Jennifer. We are not poor...lol. read more

I take my 2 Giant Schnauzer's here after trying multiple mobile dog groomers and other in-person places who never seem to know how to do the "Schnauzer Cut." my family has been going to Scizzors and Suds for the last 14 years. don't listen to those couple of bad reviews! in response to those reviews-- Jennifer (the owner) may seem blunt and definitely tells it like it is, but she ALWAYS has the animals' best interest in mind and at heart. if you are offended by a groomer telling you that you need to take better/more active care of your pet, instead of being defensive, try to just step back and LISTEN. Take her advice! Jennifer is the expert and knows what she's talking about. She never said you hate your pet, rather that there is more to loving your pet than just feeding it and giving it kisses. Jennifer LOVES animals and has a way with even the most difficult dogs/cats. pets who are blind, deaf, old, young, rambunctious, have special needs, etc. are all very well taken care of here!!! They trimmed his paws, cleaned ears, cleaned eyes, shampoo, cut, dry and adorn him with a cute bandana everytime and at a very reasonable price. Ten bucks to get our chihuahua's nails clipped. Her nails are pure black so you can't see the vein which means that when we cut them ourselves, it's borderline animal abuse. So we go to S&S and the lady there is totally cool and friendly and has a yipper of a chihuahua herself. Then she only charges us ten bucks and doesn't put us through the ringer when it comes to the BS that is rabies vaccination proof just to trim some nails. We'll be going back for sure. Only negative was that we had to pay cash which we didn't have on us at the time but the owner was super cool and allowed us to come back later in the day to pay for the service. read more

I felt anxious being in there for 5 minutes, and I felt very bad leaving my dog in that environment. Had a great experience at Scizzors& Suds. Took my elderly black lab in for a body clip. He has Cushing Disease and was very hairy, so this was vet recommended. they were both kind, considerate and fast. I would definitely use them again. read more

Tried many different groomers and Scizzors & Suds are the first one that really seem to like what they are doing. They are very caring with my Maltese/Terrier who is a bit of a handful, they stay calm and seem to be able to keep her calm. This place is fantastic. I was traveling through LA with my shih-tzu, and she was progressively getting dirtier and more matted through the trip, until at one point, she was scratching out of control, and I had to get her groomed and bathed immediately. I called up Scizzors and Suds, and they said "no problem, bring her in now" and they got her cleaned up and trimmed in no time. 4 hours after dropping her off, she looked great! Her ears were also properly plucked, which she doesn't even get at her regular groomers! Price was completely reasonable at $50, so I was sure to give an extra big tip. If I lived in LA, this would be the place I would take my dog for her groomings. read more
