I'm still hoping to better understand: -Where the matting was on both dogs and how severe it was -Why such a short shave was chosen without checking first -And to request that I be contacted before any future decisions like that or a sanitary shave I had my two dogs groomed here on March 26 and had a mixed experience, but what's most disappointing is the lack of communication afterward. To start, I understand that my Great Pyrenees had some matting since she's newly adopted, and I do appreciate that the groomer took care of her. However, I was surprised at how short she was shaved and would have really appreciated a call before making that decision. For my Husky, I was told he had "severe matting," which was confusing since he's been consistently groomed for years and has never had that issue. His coat also didn't appear heavily impacted afterward, so I was hoping for clarification on where and how severe the matting was. Additionally, a sanitary shave was done without checking with me first, which I would have preferred to approve beforehand. What's most frustrating is that the owner specifically told me to reach out if anything seemed off and that they would follow up. I sent a detailed message the day after the appointment and a polite follow-up a few days later, and I have yet to receive any response. I value communication and transparency, especially when it comes to decisions about my pets' care. Unfortunately, the lack of response has left me feeling unheard and hesitant to return. I would have preferred to resolve this directly, which is why I messaged twice before posting. I'd still appreciate that clarification.

That day we were heart broken and I knew we would want to keep our little girl with us. So, off to yelp to look for an answer. Our girl was only given 2 months to live, 3 years ago due to a severely enlarged heart that she was born with. Although we knew her days with us were numbered, we didn't have a plan... we just knew we would cremate her. I called here and got pricing and a general idea and we brought Lucy in. They have a "family room" as I call it and I placed Lucy in there to say our last goodbyes to our sweet angel. When we were getting the arrangements, I wanted my mom and me to have a moment so we did the paw prints and a clipping of her hair. The paw prints were perfect and they picked the cutest blend of fur at her ears where she had a beautiful blend of her red and black. Our sweet little girl came back home a week or so later, I can't remember exactly, but it was quicker than a human cremation. All in all, even though we were heartbroken over losing our baby girl, we were thankful places like this exist to give a dignified end to a perfect baby. Thank you. I think all together it was less than $300 for everything including all the mementos we requested. I dread the day we loose another fur baby, but when that day comes back to haunt us, we will come back here. Again, if you have been led to this, I am sorry for your loss, but you are in excellent hands if you choose to cremate your baby here. They were very respectful and compassionate.

She brought us over to do an evaluation and see how our dogs get along with her Lab and a couple other dogs staying there. Mindy and her husband do such an amazing job at sending us updates with pictures and communicating in a timely manner. It's also nice to know that groups are more intimate so I know my dogs as well as the other dogs staying with them get all the affection and attention they can get! We took our little boy Enzo there for boarding. We hadn't ever left him for more than a night or 2…read more- so to say the least we were wrecks... We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!
