This place is starting to go downhill. We used to take my dog there for grooming every 8 weeks. Not anymore! The place is not very clean and it smells like dog poop inside. Every time we picked up my dog, my poor dog smelled like cigarettes smell on the hair instead of fresh clean cut smell. Service sucks too. They never remembered my dog name even after taking him there every 8 weeks! Take your business somewhere else where u know your lovely pup is in good hands. read more

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Annie decided to roll in the dirt right before the Fourth of July! She also had very tangled for around her ears. She had just gotten groomed a while ago back in California. I need to find someplace here. Yvonne could take us this morning and it's only seven minutes from our home here in Prescott. I was very happy with her bath! My baby looks beautiful! And the price was very reasonable. They were ready for us on time so we didn't have to wait and they called us when she was done. My daughter and I had a very bad experience at Yvonne's about 2 months ago. She has a Pomeranian Chihuahua mix about 7 years old and mine WAS a pure Pomeranian about 15 years old. My daughter's Frankie ended up with with a lot of problems after excising the gland. She had to pay an $800 vet bill and Yvonnes did not help with. And my Pomeranian went downhill after the visit and passed 2 weeks later. If you love your furry family member, avoid like the plague. read more

Today was my first visit to Yvonne's and it was incredible! I was called into work and asked if they would be able to keep my dog nearly 6 hours until I got off. Not only did they assure me it was no problem and list all of the amenities and care he would receive while under their supervision, they then even managed to get my dog completely groomed before I had to clock in for my shift. Have taken my cats here for 10 years just for little things, they had their first shaving last year and yesterday I took them for their second. I usually deal with Michelle or maybe her name is Melissa, but this new Gal not only gave my cat's a choppy shave, but sheared off half of my male cat's whiskers. I had a weird feeling when she kept telling me that she would shave them the same as I've had for the last couple years, I had to remind her more than once that my cats have only been shaved 1 time. She was very talkative, a bit too chatty for my taste. She insisted that I leave them and come back, so when I picked them up they were both already in their carriers...I had no chance to see the after results. I am so disappointed as I have loved this place and my cats seemed comfortable there. My female cat's behind looks very raw, as if they shaved too close to her anus. I will only go back if I can be guaranteed that this gal who did this is nowhere near my cats... Otherwise I will go to Yvonne's in Prescott Valley. read more

Never, Never will ever go back! I have a Bearded Collie and told them I did NOT want his hair cut! just the normal trim for typical grooming. When I picked him up I saw all of his hair on the floor. She said I cut his hair a little on his back end to match. He was completely shaved! He now looks like a Schnauzer. When I politely called to inform them that I was not happy the "manager" stated she heard me say shave him, when I said no I didn't she hung up on me!! This is absolutely un-called for and terrible service and obviously they do not know what they are doing with dog breeds. Also, I would like to add my dog was very unhappy and snappy when he came home - which is NOT his nature at all. Been taking my dogs to Yvonne's for years but my last visit there was the worst I've ever experienced. First of all, I had called and made an appt. For a Saturday about a month ago, on my way in I get a call saying they need to cancel because someone broke a tooth and wanted to reschedule me for two weeks later. Went in on the day they rescheduled me for and then they said they forgot to write it down so they scheduled me for the next weekend and said they would give a discount for their mistake. Took my dog in and the woman their acted like she didn't want to take in my dog. She said she is getting old and said she would not trim her legs at all because she is sensitive. I said that if she won't trim her legs then I will go somewhere that will. She reluctantly took her in. Then I went to pick her up and it was the same lady there and she was upset that it took me an hour to get there after she called me and said my dog was ready to go. I got there at 2 50 pm and they close at 5 so her attitude and lecture were unnecessary. I asked her about the discount that they had said they were going to give me and she got even more of an attitude and said well I don't have any kind of note of that. I explained to her what had happened again because she acted like she didn't know anything about any of it but when I told her about the rescheduling because someone had broke a tooth she got defensive and wailed at me "well she broke her tooth!" I continued and said furthermore "that's not my problem." She told me to just get out of her store and not to ever come back. I said I will not come back ever as long as she works there. I said can I have my dog. She slowly retrieved my dog and brought her up front and I said so are you going to discount this or not and she said just get out of here. So I said fine. I turned to walk out and she said " you refused to pay me so I'm calling the Prescott valley police department to report you for theft". I said im trying to pay you but you won't tell me how much it is. She said just get out and I'm gonna report you for theft! I said fine call the police. I said I will wait right here for them to get here and in fact I will call them too! She made get out and so I called the police department. And about 3 mins later she high tailed it out of the other door and jumped in her car and left. I have never seen poorer customer service than that woman gave and I will never go back after all the years I went to them.. read more

I write this review with a sad heart. I've been going to Yvonne's with my Pom for years, like probably 12-14 years- so now he's a senior dog obviously to paint a picture for you. I've never had an issue with them I always felt safe leaving my baby there. Today was a completely different experience. I walked in to drop him off his appointment was 11:00am I got there at 10:35 yes a little early (has never been an issue they just kennel them until time to groom.) I was not welcomed with a hello just "Last name??" The groomer scheduled to do him was Melissa and she angrily says "well I cant leave where I'm at right at right now!!" And I said "if there's an issue I can wait or come back??" The lady who "welcomed me" says "oh no it's just she has a real senile dog she's working on" so a gentleman came out for her and took my dog to the grooming area and I walked to my car. By the time I got to my car I was balling with fear. My husband was upset I was so upset and went inside and demanded our baby back. They were not happy and very confused as to why I wanted him back and as he was getting him, MELISSA, the woman who was scheduled to take care of my dog- screamed at her dog she was grooming to "hold still and shut up!" I've never felt so disgusted with a place I was literally sick to my stomach at the vibe I got at Yvonne's. So moral of the story I will never give my business to this place again so I really hope the dog she was grooming is okay. Please don't subject your dogs to this place. read more

Took our border collie last minute. They basically slaughtered him. He looked like he had been ran over with a lawn mower. The women refunded us and profusely apologized which we appreciated but she should have called us to alert us she was not capable of doing the job. I called to make an appointment. I forgot to ask how much. Called back and was told $65. I said I could not afford that at this time and would call when I could. I was asked how much could I afford and I said $25-$30-$35. We agreed on $35 as the groomer said she absolutely wanted to see the dog named Ladida. Got there and was told it would be $45. I said that's not what we agreed on and she told me it was as that's what she had put in her book. Even the owner agreed with her. Thank you, said I and out I went. What ever happened to the customer is always right. I guess that's in years gone by. Had she agreed to the $35, I have another dog who would have become a customer. I was so thrilled with her agreeing to the $35, I even told her I would get her a nice gift. Not any longer. Never to return. So, not only did it cost them a customer, it was very bad business. read more

I've got a ...difficult dog. He's 60lbs of anxiousness around people he doesn't know. He is not fond of baths and has a tendency to snarl at the mere mention. Yvonne's was reassuring, careful, and considerate. They took him in, didn't make a fuss, bathed him, and even let me rebook. Today Amber Groomed our Kitty, Tess! We felt comfortable with the atmosphere in the shop from the beginning. We liked the way the staff treated the animals & each other! We took Tess in today to be groomed & she looks beautiful! She has a very thick long coat! We explained what we thought she needed & what we had done at our former groomer. Amber listened to us, made some suggestions & asked all the right questions! We have found our groomer! Yay! read more

I took my rescue dog in today. She is a skittish, nervous Mastiff that is not sure about strangers, much less most people she knows. I missed my actual scheduled appointment and called them right away and they still fit me in.. That was HUGE for me, and much appreciated. They groomed her and she did great! They charged me so little that I could actually go buy a pie for friends for dinner/dessert later. One thing is I felt that she should have smelled a little cleaner. She didn't smell bad at all, but she didn't smell CLEAN either. Just neutral... None the less, I will discuss this with them next time because I WILL BE BACK!! read more

I took my dog to get groomed at this place and have been for two years well never will again when they were grooming her they torn her toe nail off and all they said was oh she has something wrong with her foot and I said don I need to take her to the vet they said no she got her nail caught on the kennel well need less to say she has to go to the vet right away because she was limping and hardly walk the vet said it was torn off and he treated it and cost 0ver 260 dollars and still have to take her back again and she is on two meds for ten days I will never recommend this place to no one and they should pay the vet bill and refund my grooming bill over 70.00 very unhappy customer read more
