We had lots of options and were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The quality was excellent. My husband did a crazy shake, Strawberry cheesecake. The presentation was great and the flavors were spot on. Quality ingredients. The malt shake was delicious as well. The store was clean and the decor was modern.

So I've been dairy-free for about 12 years now. I honestly don't miss dairy except for ice cream. It's rare to find an ice cream shop that offers delicious options for us dairy-free folks until last night! I found this cute Black-owned ice cream shop here in Chattanooga. Not only did they offer vegan flavors but they still offered the fun cones and milkshakes without dairy. I ordered the s'more crazy cone with dairy-free cookie dough. It was delicious! My friend had the nachos with two different flavors, and husband had strawberry shortcake. Everyone enjoyed theirs and it's a definite return!!

Delicious ice cream treats to choose from. Shakes, cones, scoops, and more. The is the type of business you want to support and we'd be regulars if we weren't just passing through. I enjoyed the Oatty Cone the most. The ice cream was so decadent and flavorful. Service was great! Small family run business in a clean and well kept environment. Limited parking out front, with more on the street. Make sure you stop in, taste some flavors, and enjoy a sweet treat.

i'm glad there's a place with vegan ice cream options in chattanooga + they are delicious and more than one flavor. i'm not sure if the offerings change seasonally, but when i was there they had 2 sorbets and 2 ice creams, one being vegan cookie dough chip and the other being berry crunch. both flavors were delicious! the people working there were very friendly and while it was kind of busy there, we got our ice cream pretty quickly. i am happy with my experience.

We were lucky enough to meet the owners while walking around Chattanooga. We were invited to comeover after our dinner and we took full advantage of the invite. My family loved their ice creams and shakes. Definitely recommend to anyone that wants some good ice cream!

The ice cream was scrumpdiddlyumptious! She let me get pop rocks and sour gummy worms on my ice cream. The server was super cool and nice! I felt super comfortable asking her questions about the ice cream and she described everything super well and with a cheerful tone! The ambiance was so nostalgic and mesmerizing, the thing I remember the most was the banana wet sign that was in the corner and it was super cute!

W O W! What a hidden gem in Chattanooga! We visited and were blown away by not only the quality of what we ordered but also by the cleanliness and the most precious staff! I got a two scoop on waffle cone with the blueberry & moose tracks ice cream, while Austin got the cereal chiller crazy shake! I have never in my life been able to compete a two scoop cone and I devoured this one! We are looking forward to coming back and would encourage everyone to come support such an amazing small business!

We visited Scoop Around Ice Cream Bar for the first time tonight. Family-owned and operated by the sweetest, kindest family working together! The ice cream was rich, varied, not expensive and served with old-school, family-oriented service! Looking to support the type of business that made America great: great product, great service, great price? This is it! This is a business worth patronizing!!! By the way, it's not just ice cream here! They serve hot and cold coffees, espressos and all kinds of combinations of ice cream, cones, cookies, coffee and much more!!! Be prepared to spend some time considering all your options! These folks aim to please with all the creative combos! We kept it pretty simple with our selections. Butter Praline in a waffle cone and Salty Caramel Truffle (I think that was the name) in a cup with Oreo crumble sprinkles added. Both flavorful and rich ice creams but left zero aftertaste or sense of heaviness! In fact, the ice cream almost felt like it cleaned the palate! Amazing! We already have plans to visit again tomorrow. Flavors, by the way, are not all your typical flavors. Worthy of reading the descriptions and a sample or two, which they offer readily! I like ice cream, but I don't love it, EXCEPT when it comes from Scoop Around. The first time I went it was because I was on a walk with my boyfriend and his mom and they wanted to go. I wasn't even expecting to get anything. When I walked in though, I tried a spoon of the key lime flavor they had at the time. I expected it to taste like key-lime-flavored-ice-cream but it tasted like a scoop full of key lime PIE The texture even felt like pie because there were delicious hunks of graham crust inside. I was converted. BUT, even more importantly, this shop is run by passionate people. The second time we went in was weeks or even a little over a month later and they remembered us. They gave us a pup cup for my boyfriend's dog while he waited outside with him and they were so helpful and patient with me and his mom. We were indecisive and might have been hard to communicate with because we struggled through our decision making process in Spanglish. She was trying in both languages to explain to me what she wanted but my help wasn't needed at all because the people at Scoop got the gist of what flavor she was craving (rum and raisin) and did their best to come up with something adjacent. We drove by this place on the way to dinner and I couldn't get it out of my mind, so we stopped for dessert on the way home. The flavor selection here is insane in the best way. We tried 3-4 samples and they were all so good. We ended up splitting a couple scoops - double chocolate something and one with graham crackers. Such a great, creamy consistency. There were tons of sundae, milkshake and specialty cone options, but the ice cream along was so good. The folks working there were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing! Cute little ice cream shop with a nice variety of unique flavors. And Vegan options that taste great! Very personable service and helpful suggestions. When serving my waffle cone, they put it in a protective sleeve to keep it clean for me to eat. That was my favorite part ;-). They also had fun toppings (like Biscoff cookie) and sauces to add to your scoops! Would definitely come again. read more

The process was to place your order on their order kiosk. Choose your cone type (or cup), your spread (peanut butter, Nutella, or cookie butter), your soft serve flavor(s), and your topping(s). You then pay via card only at the order kiosk (no cash) and give a phone number for a digital receipt. A few minutes later, your name is called and you collect your order. I ordered the traditional cone with cookie butter spread, chocolate vanilla swirl soft serve, Heath bar topping, and caramel sauce ($8.30). The cones are definitely the star of the show here! Slightly crispy pastry cone with a cinnamon sugar crust and the cookie butter spread with Heath bar topping packed inside made the soft serve more delightful. The soft serve itself wasn't anything grand and was reminiscent of soft serve you'd get at a buffet for dessert. Perhaps order whatever their specialty flavors soft serve is for a more flavorful soft-serve? Nonetheless, it was still a pleasant experience, with friendly staff, and a very clean place.

As for their froyo flavors, pineapple, cheesecake, and coconut have been our go-to favorites. For toppings, we love us some mini gummy bears, mochi bites, mini popping boba, or any of the chocolate candy bars crumbled (Reese, Butterfinger, Heathbar). There's comfy, fun, and clean seating inside as well as a few dog-friendly tables outside on the patio. Great visit with great service, and we look forward to returning.

I ordered the chicken salad croissant for my wife, then the California club for myself and then I had to order quiche Lorraine for the table. I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. Service was pretty quick, between our order placement and table delivery it was 7 minutes. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. The accompanying arugula and onion salad dresses with oil and vinegar and seasonings was an excellent pairing of freshness with the richer quiche. This is a big hit, as expected when advertised on the menu as "available until sold out." The California Club was on 6 grain toasted bread with an avocado spread and aioli, bacon, turkey, tomato and lettuce. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. The chicken salad had just a hint of lemon and was not overwhelmed with aioli, just the right balance. This was a fantastic meal. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I need one of these in Greenville, SC, my hometown. Last thing to note, you bus your own table and there is a dish basin nearby the outside dining area in which to place your dishes. This was an excellent lunch spot. The staff were also friendly and patiently helpful. This is a must visit spot when visiting or living in Chattanooga!
