But over time, the pickups became rare, and the weekly walks were simply ignored. The situation quickly became a serious problem. When we called to ask what was going on, they assured us we were an "important client" and promised to make it right. They came out, "serviced" the waste containers, but then left a large bag of dog waste sitting on the sidewalk. When questioned, they claimed we needed to provide a dumpster--something they had never mentioned before in two years of service. Despite their words, their actions showed we were not a priority. Communication between their customer service team and the crews doing the actual work was non-existent. The promises never matched the service delivered. After continued frustration, we ended the contract. Shortly afterward, we received an email from them saying we could no longer be serviced. Frankly, with the poor quality of work throughout the contract, it feels like we never really were. Bottom line: Customer service is not their priority. Promises were empty, communication was broken, and the service consistently fell short. Never again.

Today, as I watched on my Ring, they were here for just a few minutes, made a quick pass across the middle of the side and middle of the front yard , and were gone. They missed about 1/2 dozen piles as I walked my sidewalk and looked a foot from the edge of it. ...and that is without me walking the yard. The "Dupont Circle Carpet Cleaning" picked up the rug on 9/20. I called 9/30 and was told it would be there Tuesday 10/3. It didn't arrive. No phone call. Nothing. I knew they wouldn't respond to me if they saw my number so had my building supervisor call instead so they would pick up to different phone number. It worked. They told him Thursday. They didn't come. No phone calls. So he called throughout the day. They said they couldn't make it and claimed they had already called me because I requested an additional SOFA CLEANING? They made this up and lied. They never called, and I never said anything about a sofa cleaning. He made this up to cover up his tracks that my carpet was not coming that day as promised, yet again. They finally dropped the carpet off on Friday. The rug was still stained and dirty. See pic. They have not refunded the $532, which was a ridiculous overcharge for a $140 job. Normandy Carpet, an esteemed business, gave an estimate of $140, NOT $532. In a recorded exchange, "Daniel" became defensive when I asked why he lied about the sofa cleaning. For me, this wasn't about what was said, it was the fact he felt he had to lie at all. I am a consumer who entrusted him with over $500 so I deserved to ask about it to receive a legitimate answer. Instead, he avoided it and offered to clean up the rug again, but how could I possibly give back my carpet to someone acting this unprofessional and untrustworthy? If I gave him back the carpet, I was risking not seeing it again, considering how many times I had to call to get it back in the first place. When I first called on 9/30, "Daniel" was threatening on the phone, saying he was disgusted by my questioning when he had been in the business for 13 years. He insists they cleaned it, and it would be there Tuesday. But he had his delivery people bring it back after much unnecessary insistence from my building supervisor, who had to call multiple times a day to ensure it was arriving. Daniel never laid eyes on the carpet himself and cannot dispute my pictures and cannot dispute that he lied in order to cover up not doing the actual job. They put $532.50 on the receipt, then charged two payments of $266 each on my credit card under "SQ*CARPET CLEANING NYC." This is a carpet business based in DC. Not NYC. When it was rebilled on my credit card a second time, this time it said "SQ*Carpet CLEANIN". The word 'cleanin" is misspelled, and what happened to "CARPET CLEANING NYC?"  Why would they charge an inexact amount in two separate installments? All of this keeps adding up to a sketchy, unreliable business. All he had to do was clean my carpet and return it within a week. Now this has been a two-month ordeal. Unbelievable.

I spoke to David (the owner) on the phone and he sent someone to pick up my rug same day. I was told that the rug would be cleaned and returned in about 2-3 weeks. I was charged $507. $507! But ok, David, sure... my rug was dirty and maybe that's what it costs. Well, after waiting almost 6 weeks with no update on where my rug was or when it was returning, I tried calling the company over a period of THREE days. When I finally got in touch with David, he assured me he'd call back within 30 minutes to confirm a delivery of my very expensive now-cleaned rug. When he didn't call back, I called him again and he assured me he'd call back within 15 minutes. David never called back. I then called and left a message to say I was revoking my credit card payment if I didn't hear back from him. A woman called me to tell me she'd find out where and when my rug would return. I had to call back next day again. I revoked payment. That finally got their attention because the same woman I spoke to called me and said my rug would be arriving the next day. David then called me to tell me because I stopped payment that I would now need to pay in cash. So the woman shows up and holds my rug hostage in her van because I don't have over $500 in cash to give this joke of company. David -do you really think that's good business to hold someone's rug hostage and not just re-run a credit card for a very late delivery and not communicating with your customer? When I informed David he could not do & after much back and forth he re-ran my credit card , which obviously went through because I'm not a crook, unlike someone in this narrative. $507?! You should be ashamed. My rug isn't even that clean.

We are usually too busy to give him all the exercise he needs so this was perfect for us. They basically do a variety of different exercises at a bunch of different places so it is a lot more vigorous and exciting than just normal dog walkers. I also like that Biscuit it matched with other dogs his size so we don't have to worry about him getting trampled. And then to top it off, we get a daily report and sometimes even pictures so we can see him in action. Everyone is very professional and clean-cut, which is important to me since they have unabridged access to both my home and my dog and I've never had any problems getting in contact with them, so I'd give their customer service 5 stars as well. Even though it is more expensive per month that other places, I think this is the best bet for Biscuit!
