Then came the day for my Simba to get his first grooming, and Kenny texted me telling me that he was on the way (which is customary, but still appreciated) & I told him that Simba hated being brushed and despises water. They have excellent customer service, ask all the right questions about our pets, listen to our answers, and, most importantly, provide excellent grooming. I scheduled SplashNTails for this morning. They we supposed to be there this morning between 9-10. I was in the bathroom when they arrived and they rang my bell, which I didn't hear. They then texted me at 9:24 and I responded within 10 minutes to say I'm coming down. They were gone by the time I came down and I called the groomer right then and he never picked up my call. I then called the office to see if he can turn around and the owner said he is already grooming another dog. Really? NFW. I call bullshit on this. In 5 minutes her found another dog to groom? Right. The owner then emailed and said the groomer was booked for the whole month of December and suggested I use another groomer. Yes please! If you can't wait 10 min for me, then I'm not giving you my money to take care of my dog. It even gets better! I get an automated email that says I owe .01 for a no show fee. Come and get it MFers! No apology from the owner. No suggestion on getting another appointment. Effing crickets. I would suggest another service. These guys suck! read more

Hands-down the best grooming experience EVER! PetSmart is so tough to book, and then you get a many-hours-long window to wait to come back and pick up your dog. And, the last time we took our dog there, she came back all patchy! Ever since then, I had been cutting the dog's hair with a Wahl grooming set I had bought for myself years ago and never used again after messing up and having to shave my head a few times. Ha. But I'm not so good at getting around the paws and other, uh, sensitive areas. So, after some research, I found Splash 'n' Tails, and they had good reviews and were comparably priced (even cheaper than in some cases, depending on the dog size and services) to PetSmart. AND they pull up to your house, do everything in their spacious and clean trailer, AND the dog looks GREAT afterward? Amazing. My field spaniel mix had her first haircut and bath from Kenny this morning, and she's never looked better. She was very comfortable the whole time and it was an overall good experience. I'll be giving SnT a call again in a couple of months for sure! read more

I don't think people realize how difficult it is to find a cat groomer. Especially a GOOD cat groomer who cares, knows what they are doing, and makes the animals themselves feel safe. Splash N Tails is that! Actually, they aren't just good, they're AMAZING! So good, that one of my cats hisses at the other because they've practically "cleaned his smell off." Takes him about a week to be okay with his brother again. A real hoot! When they show up, they politely knock, have polite conversation, take your kitties to their trucks, and return them very quickly after their service is complete. For my tuxedo cat, I just get his nails clipped, ears cleaned, a quick brush down, and he comes back. For my medium haired domestic, he gets the works! Surprisingly, he strongly dislikes the vacuum in our home but LOVES the machine in the truck that gets ride of his fur. I have no idea why but, I like to think it's the amazing groomers! I will be a continued customer and I recommend other people become a customer. You won't be disappointed. If you have an appointment, something comes up, you can reschedule. Give them prior notice though. Also, if they happen to need to reschedule for any reason, they'll go above and beyond to make sure they can accommodate your schedule. read more

Excellent grooming service! The groomer arrived on time and was very nice. Buoy (my dog) was extremely nervous and had some trouble getting in the grooming trailer. The groomer was so gentle and took time to build rapport with him to help him feel at ease. An hour later, Buoy came bouncing into the house looking so beautiful and happy. Splash N Tails groomed my very overweight cat today. Since she is overweight she has a difficult time keeping herself as clean as she should. This was our first experience with a groomer and it was easy and painless (unless you count having to wake up at 6:30am, but hey...they came to us so I'm happy). What a convenient service! Also worth every penny... $95 for wash, cut, nail trim and ear cleaning right outside our own home! I had never considered mobile grooming since we had something within walking distance, but I will never walk to groom again! It is so convenient! scheduling was all online /I just had to have my dog's vacs records available. They were able to make an appointment that week (Their hours are insanely good), showed up early, she was in and out in an hour of the groomer coming to my door (doorbell rang at 2:11 and she was back by 3:15). And she looks BETTER THAN EVER- I have a yorkie-poo who was on the verge of matting with delaying her groom, and she looks so fluffy and clean and youthful. They use premium shampoos that won't dry their skin, and even this was a huge plus since my dog had to have a bath within 24 hours before her grooming. The icing on the cake was that the service that came TO MY DOOR was less than my groomer a mile away. My dog spent zero time waiting for me in a crate and looks the best she ever has. By far the best grooming experience we have had to date. They were able to schedule me an appointment early in the morning so I wouldn't have to leave work early. The groomer showed up 10 minutes early (we had a 7 am appointment) and was great with our 100 pound German Shepard, Emma. He took about an hour with her and she came back in looking fabulous. In the 5 years we have been getting her groomed, this was by far the best experience. We will definitely be scheduling our next grooming appointment with them! read more

A must read if you care about your furbaby's safety. A week ago my pup Max got groomed by groomer Kenneth who is also the owner of Splash and tails. Max is a Westie so his fur was full grown and I wanted it to be a bit shorter but keeping the Westie face and body. Groomer completely shaved him off leaving barely hair and not giving him the Westie look. I reached out to the groomer via email and let them know of my dissatisfaction. I was surprised how the matter was handled by a defensive attitude in emails. Haircut would have been it but the groomer gave him razor burns of which I sent a photo of to the groomer. Groomer/ the owner, repeatedly said one thing that Max already had a rash and he supposedly showed it to me inside my house and also took pictures of the rash. What surprises me is - groomer was never inside my house, he picked up Max outside the door and that is where he left him. Secondly, no rash was ever mentioned to me which Max doesn't even have any Or of any hint of any pictures of the rash been taken. After few communications via email I told the groomer that I don't know why he is lying because none of those ever happened or mentioned about to me- "I will write an open and honest review about my experience to be sure to tell my friends and people in my community," since I was not getting anywhere with my communication with the groomer. Another shocking thing was, I was left a voicemail by the groomer/owner THREATENING me to take me to court if I ever leave a review for them. I called the groomer back and tried talking to him to see if he had mistaken me for another client because as mentioned GROOMER WAS NEVER INSIDE MY HOUSE OR NEVER MENTIONED OF ANY RASH (which max doesn't have) OR OF ANY PHOTOS BEEN TAKEN. The groomer used foul language by calling me a "f#####g b!t#h." The very next day I took Max to the vet to get him looked at for those razor burns, and the groomer was very insistent to speak to the vet which I refused to share after those phone call threats and foul language. To sum up, I am leaving this review since the owner showed no compassion towards the sincerity of the issue and was very offensive by his remarks and threats. Owner can take me to court by all means because none of this information is incorrect. A simple and sincere apology would have been enough, but if they want to run their business with no ethics: then by all means it is necessary for me to get out there and tell people the truth about this grooming place because we all love and care for our fur babies. read more

They not only did not do the cut I asked for, they also charged me $95 to cut a Yorkie who is 7lbs. I do not have a problem paying top dollar for a cut if they at least do what I ask for. So impressed with this company! We have a little 12 year old Cavillon that we rescued. We love him, but he is very difficult. He does not like anyone other than myself or my husband. He also has biting tendencies. His hair was overgrown and matted, so we decided to try Splash n Tails after a friend recommended them! Kenny was AMAZING!
