After given safety and driving instructions, we headed off to Red Rock Canyon. The ride is quite exhilarating, being on the open road with wind in your face and hair surrounded by visually stunning scenery. There were several stops throughout the canyon for quick walks and picture taking. What made our tour was our guide Leo, who was lively, humorous and upbeat. It's a nice short getaway from the hustle and bustle of the strip and gambling. I highly recommend this tour.

A tour bus picked us up (and dropped us off) from/at our hotel. During the time we were on our way to "base" where the cars are lined up. Leo told us a little history about the town and some interesting places. It took about 20 minutes until we go to the base, and he explained how the process works, how to drive the cars, etc... The cars can go fast but you'll be doing 30 mph Max (if so). You'll be driving in bicycle lanes all the way up to the High Point, and you'll stop in 4 different spots along the way!! One thing I wish there was available would be bathrooms at base. The only bathrooms in our stops were the second stop and the last stop, and those are public restrooms, no need to say more! The second stop (after you get to base and drive) actually has a nice rest area with gorgeous back drops - perfect for Instagram (lol). Check the pic we took. This is the best social distancing activities and it's a great way to see the nature. Go in the 8 am slot tho...bring sunscreen and water will be provided in the second stop, however bring your own anyways. Highly recommend Leo and this tour.

They phased those out and so only now rent the fixed kind. Also, Fremont St. is North Vegas and not really near the strip... plus scooters are not allowed on the strip.... so some complicated logistics unless you have a car to transport the scooter or if you're going to stay near Fremont St. Or if you're a celebrity with a team managing your scooter it would probably work well... We had our own private tour as others cancelled last minute so it was amazing!! It's easy to learn the scooters with just a couple minutes of instruction and you're on your way! We opted for the taco tour and if they still have it I highly recommend it! The sites along the way with the special taco stops hit the highest marks. Our guide stopped for photo ops several times which was nice. Overall I highly recommend Atomic Scooters and will definitely be back for another adventure!

Luckily we went from a sassy lavender to a bad ass red. You could see the looks on people's faces. They wanted to be on this scooter but they were trapped in their four door vehicles. My advice if you are headed out in the Red Rock Canyon direction is to top off on gas right before you head into the canyon (maybe 35 mins from the shop) so you're safe.
