When I just paid Rogier for his work, I said to him "It's 8:08pm...we didn't even call you two hours ago!" Yep, I called him at 6:23 to see when he could come solve a week-long connectivity issue (router and extender stuff). He said he'd finish his dinner and would be over by 7. Wow! Now he may not always be able to pull off that kind of magic, but it gives you a sense for his ethic! Most importantly, my wife can begin working from home again tomorrow and soon we'll have him back to solve the eight device and three iTunes conundrum. And, he's funny too! Wow, wow, wow! It's not often you find a business or service with all 5 star reviews. Rogier is absolutely the best! Believe the hype! I was without my iMac for months. I kept schlepping it to the Apple store where I was told there was nothing wrong with my hard drive (grrr, there was, and I just wanted it fixed) and they added updates and did little checky things that helped my computer limp along for a few more days. I think the store uses the "Genius" term in an overly generous way sometimes... Since I don't speak computer very well, I wasn't sure what to do. I could sort of get by in the meantime on my ipad and a borrowed laptop. I asked a neighbor, a very young man, a former Apple engineer, now retired what to do and it all sounded so complicated. Finally another friend suggested I look for an outside Mac fixer. DUH! Yelp. Why didn't I think of that earlier? I found Scooter IT with all of the glowing reviews and called right away. Bless him, Rogier works so hard, he picked up my iMac around 5:30 pm and brought it back to me the next day along with my old hard drive and my back up drive, better than new and for a fair and reasonable rate. I could write so much more about how he checked in with me and helped me buy the best and install more male sheeps, i mean rams in my iMac (now it's really fast, but not furry) and how he only wants to use the highest quality parts. He's also ethical, because he suggested I take my borrowed laptop to the Apple store to buy a new battery. He even showed me how to access it. This sort of thing makes me really loyal. Yay! So my 17 inch MacBook Pro dies one night with the screen frozen and a power down/up cycle generates a blank grey screen with an oversized folder with a question mark in the center, showing up restart after restart. Look up the nearby Mac repair options on Yelp and found Rogier on Scooter-IT. He is open late until 10pm so I called him up and pleased that he is very easy with onsite work. Impressed that he was a former Genius at the Burlingame Ave Apple Store, a very busy place and saw the other reviews. He is very easy to talk to and I was impressed with his professionalism and great sense of humor. I had already check the disk after fumbling around with an old Techtool Pro program and found many bad sectors so I was already set on replacing my drive. He had a great suggestion going with a new SSD drive which have come down nicely in costs. Luckily I use Time Machine religiously on all my Macs. I just ordered the drive with his recommendations on the web with the right specs (texting him is easy) and after it arrived this morning, he came over after I was able to meet him at home. He took the drive and laptop and within 5 hours he had installed the drive, nicely packaged my old drive labeled in a box, had upgraded to Lion (I was on 10.6.8) with iLife and iWork and drove it back today! Bonus! Great price! (I had my own business for several years and his fees were very reasonable! I'd encourage other businesses to use him if they have a Mac shop!) Now, Time Machine (as he had reassured me) has restored everything I had with all the new versions of the apps that he had installed by him not overwritten by my old versions. Now I'm writing this review which I will also post on his site! You won't go wrong using Rogier. My MacBook Pro now flies! (5,2) Payment was easy either with credit cards (Square), cash or check. Really?? Open Mon to Sun till 10 PM??? Don't want to miss an out of town weekend seminar but need to upgrade a 20" iMac with more memory and bigger hard drive. I gave Rogier a call on Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Drop off the Macs at 8:00 pm and my Macs are ready Sunday night to pickup. I did not miss anything, the good seminar as well as a single file inside the Mac. What a great service I can rely on!! read more

I found Rogier on Yelp and I would like to echo all the positive feedback. Rogier was great to work with! I bought a new and larger SSD for my wife's black Macbook and wanted someone to install it and transfer the data over a weekend when it wasn't being used at work. On top of the requested swap Rogier upgraded the OS from Leopard to Lion,optimized the system at no extra charge and turned it around the same day. It's really zippy now. The upgrade added years to an old Mac. Given the increased prices of the new Macbook Pros and decreased prices of SSD's I would highly recommend this hardware upgrade and getting a professional like Rogier to do it. read more

My precious Mac Pro decided to turn itself off and not turn back on again. Me, being the brilliant person that I am, did NOT purchase AppleCare and I knew I was going to have to pay to figure out how to fix my precious. I found Scooter-IT through Yelp and though technically he hadn't been around for a while his reviews were good so I tried him out. I emailed him my problem on a Thursday at 1:12pm. By 3pm that same day we were on the phone talking it out. After listening to my problem he advised that I go to the Apple Store as they would be the only ones who had access to the official Apple power supply and though Rogier (Scooter-IT) could get third party options, he could not get the official Apple power supply. I found that advise alone to be pretty amazing. Here is an independent tech who could have just said nothing about this and I wouldn't have known otherwise. He gave me a run down of what he advised if the problem didn't turn out to be the power supply. He also emailed me this information. NOTE: I haven't paid Rogier a penny, but he gave me sound advise. I went to the Apple Store, it did turn out to be the power supply and all is well. However, in the future I will absolutely call Rogier for any Mac issues because I didn't feel like he was trying to screw me over and was honestly giving the best advice he could give. We have a very complicated IT environment - 9 computers across two locations with multiple networks, backup, audio-video considerations, unusual viruses on a MAC of all things - Rogier helped me get network integrity, helped me get the 10x the speed out of my comcast network externally and 20x internally, he helped me ensure that all my devices were integrated in and operating properly, he helped us set up automatic backups to protect our data - and he did it all with existing equipment versus having to buy a whole lot of new stuff. He dropped everything on an emergency and helped me restore my wife's work computer and get it up and operating appropriately within 6 hours. We had multiple iTunes accounts and he helped us to figure out how to consolidate it to keep as much of the music as possible on iCloud. We got done in 7 days what I had not been able to get done in 6 months. If you want turnkey, he'll do it; if you want him to teach you how to do it, he'll take the time and teach you.
