Not the best place. My phone back screen was cracked so I came here to get it replaced. It was about $200 to get the screen changed. I got it changed and came back a few days later because I dropped it. I didn't even drop it that hard and the screen still managed to crack. I had to pay again to get it replaced. When I received the phone back, they cracked my camera lens.... I confronted them and they said they didn't do that. Thankfully I took pictures prior to the service and I showed him that it wasn't cracked when I dropped it off. They eventually replaced it for free but didn't even own up to their mistake and got petty. Few months past and the screen cracked even worse. I know I shouldn't be dropping my phone but it happens. Came here for repairs on my iPad screen and my mobile phone and initially I was confused as the repair kiosk where I have previously been to was empty and vacated by the previous tenant. After inquiring around, I learned that Gadget Repair aka Gadget World (which has a kiosk near the main entrance also had their own shop directly across from the Shoe Palace. Upon entering I met Aktilek and his brother who were busy with customers waiting for their repairs to be completed. After showing him what needed to be done, he informed me that the repair for my iPad screen would take longer to do since the removal process of the screen is more complicated than fixing a mobile phone which normally takes 30-45 mins. Atilek replaced my phone screen that same day and I picked up my iPad the next day. Great service all around and enjoyed him helping out and explaining the repair process on my iPad. My daughter broke her iPad screen during her spring break in April. She was using the iPad with the cracked screen for over a month with no bright lights on the screen or charging issues. The only issue she experienced was a cracked screen. Brought the iPad here to replace a cracked screen. First time I picked it up they didn't even check it to see if it was working and just handed it back to me. Screen was not sensitive to touch. There was no apparent bright light in the corner or charging issues first time I came to pick it up. I told them that it's not working. They told me they're going to open it up to check the connectors. I'm surprised they sent me off with a screen that wasn't working and they did no quality control. I pick up the ipad the next day. Was told screen is working but there could be charging issues or led issues. I saw a bright light in one corner of the ipad and the battery was on low battery mode and turning off. They proposed to fix it at additional cost. I told him the only issue when I left the other day was the cracked screen. My daughter used the iPad for over a month cracked and it was charging properly and no bright light in the corner. I said no to further repairs and I take it home to discuss with my family. We decided we need a refund, trash the ipad, and buy a new one with the repair $. I go in the next day with my husband and daughter. This time the manager is there and I ask for a refund. I'm doing the talking and explaining the ipad had no light in the corner or battery issues before we came in. First time I tried to pick up the iPad the screen was not working. Surprised there was no simple test done just by one swipe of the finger. I kept getting interrupted telling me I don't know how it works since they don't touch the led or battery when repairing the screen so they couldn't possibly have damaged the iPad and the impact of the drop must have been very hard. I was raising my voice a bit because I wanted to finish talking. I explained the ipad had been used cracked for 1-2 months with no charging issues or light in the corner issues and this only happened after the repair and right now it's unusable so I'd like a refund. They repeated again same thing about not touching inside of iPad. My husband steps in and things become heated. He did use the f word and the word scamming as both of us know that the ipad had no battery issues or led issues since all 3 of us had used the iPad in the over 1 month when it was cracked. While my husband did use some foul language and the guy told us it was a disgrace he used that in front of my daughter they started using f word multiple times at us and things became very heated. They said no to refund and finally I said you can have your screen back if you give me a refund and they agreed. Things were not very calm after that and it seemed we may get into another argument. I finally just said let's step outside. The employee was like you want us to step outside which I think they thought meant fight. I said I meant the 3 of us step outside meaning my husband, child, and myself which we did while waiting for the screen to be removed. When it was done the employee called me inside and showed me what he meant by they didn't touch the battery or led light. I just said thanks and left. They did open the ipad I was told to look at the connectors so it could have been damaged then or because the screen was not working when they replaced it could have put further impact on the led light & battery. I think they would have happier customers if: 1) they took a look at the item they are fixing first and assess any other issues the item may have and inform the customer. Customer less likely to blame them on damages if they point it out before repairs. 2) did some quality control and test if the item is working properly before giving the item back to the customer and if that point notice there are issues such as led not working properly or battery not charging let the customer know 3) not point out items that need repair when it's obvious to even the customer. If it was truly broken beforehand they had 2 opportunities point out that it was broken and would be believed. Very unprofessional. read more

After very patiently helping my 94-year old Dad select a new phone case, Az checked out the phone, and we were very relieved to learn that it was only the glass screen protector that was cracked. Az replaced the cracked screen protector with a new tempered glass one, and put on the new phone case. My Dad was very happy because his phone looked brand new again! The price for everything was incredibly cheap - compared to others, and especially the Apple Store! - and Az even gave my Dad a discount because it was an older phone. My wife went went here to buy a case for her new iPhone. She found one for $24 that would be $12 on Amazon... she was ok with that. However, in the process there was a $24 screen protector installed on the phone that she reported was not explained/priced. She left only to realized later that $48 was charged for the $12 case and $2-3 protector (Amazon prices). When she returned to complain, she was told that the screen protector was non-returnable. This is a kiosk located strategically by the Apple store at the mall. Just footsteps away. I purchased a protective shield for my iPad2 last week. The sales person can also apply it for you for a nominal fee of $2.00. He meticulously cleaned my iPad, eliminated the dust particles, and applied the shield. I was given the final inspection. Sure I went to the wrong kiosk. I meant to get the invisible shield at the other kiosk by Apple, but no matter. This protective shield works. One of the good things is that you can find accessories that you need for your phone. I purchased a screen protector for my phone. 1 week later it came off. The adhesive was.not good. I went back to the store to tell them what happened. I was told that they did not have anymore in stock and that they would order more. The staff of this place went out of their way to accommodate me and make sure I had a positive experience. I purchased a phone case and was told that there is a no return policy (especially during COVID which is understandable). I bough a real cool case, everything I wanted. I came here to get a case for my new iPad 4th generation and left with a case very similar to the magazine jacket by incase. When I got home, I realized the only thing I did not like was that, unlike the incase magazine jacket, this case didn't have the little black bars on the back to support it. Therefore, the iPad easily tips over when you press the screen with a bit of pressure. However, what drew me to this case to begin with was the fact that it had ZERO names on it, like iHome, incase, or like any of those other 3rd party manufacturers. Being that I had bought an Apple TV and it came with cool white Apple stickers, I envisioned how I would customize it. That's a huge plus about Gadget World products, customization to personal likings. Anyway, I went back to try and return the case even though I knew Gadget World had a no return policy. The really tall guy working there was very polite in finding me a case that I liked so he gladly exchanged it. I walked away satisfied with a case a lot nicer and a lot more sturdier than the first one, which was my main concern, sturdiness. Bottom line is, if Apple made the smart case in black, I would've got it, but since they don't, I went for this one because of the option to customize it to my likings. How to take back 10$ for counterfeit garbage at "Gadget World" in Stonestown Galleria. I get screen protector for iPhone XmaX from this family owned junkyard, and see it's obviously unfit. Owner shows his incompetence, telling me that he can bring me right screen, but with a smaller size, where not all screen will be covered. I told him back that Apple store sell the right size screen protectors, they are more expensive but at least they fit for iPhones and not makes 1400$ device looks ugly. I ask owner to refund and he is rejecting telling that he sell me the right screen protector which cannot be refunded. I start to record video of this place and I was really angry. I tell for other customers who looks for garbage in shelf's don't buy anything there, because it was a third time for me when I bought something there and never get refund when see it was bad quality or simply unfit. Before it was the same not expensive things and I am not was aware, but 3 times is enough. I decided to never buy anything there again and get my 10$ back at this time.
