I am shocked and saddened that this place is still open. It is a dump. And they will rip you off every single time. Fraud, scam, thieves. Just check with the Better Business Bureau. There are multiple places in South Beach that rent scooters cars etc. This one is notorious for not giving deposit, overcharging credit card, and creating fake parking tickets. This scooter shop location is perfect, directly on Collins Ave. The customer service was great. I rented two scooters here for $100.00 each, which is very reasonable in pricing. They do hold 4 or $500 on your card for incidentals. Scooters are the best way to get around South Beach do to parking. But after this rental, i'd rather had jus walked around the strip. The reason i'm giving this business 1 star is because the scooters are HORRIBLE and out dated !! the breaks SQUEAK HORRIBLY BAD. It was very embarrassing riding around South Beach with 2 EXTRMEMLY loud scooters while breaking. we did take them back and the employees did something to stop the squeaking noise but that only lasted for abt 1 minute then both scooters were back loud and embarrassing !! Dude was pretty cool during the rental. Then after asking when they open, guy says 10am. I said perfect, because our flight is at noon. That would allow us time to drop off the scooter at 10, get our deposit and go to the airport. After explaining this and clarifying the day before, he tells us he would be there at 9:45am. Guy shows up at 10:30am! Now I'm missing my flight. Thanks guys! You rock! Feel free to rent a moped here, just don't rely on them to be professional by opening on time if you are trying to get to the airport at a certain time. We were a bit far and decided it was better to just do it ourselves rather then wait for someone to come. Easy process to rent the scooters and had a great time. I had the fastest scooter so I had no complaints. The deposit for each scooter was $200.00. We also took a ride down Ocean Drive and decided to park our HOGS like we were in a real motorcycle gang across from the Colony Hotel for some refreshments and a bite to eat. We were unsure on wether or not we should pay for one scooter or all four since we were taking up only one parking spot. We all decided we'd rather pay a little to park each scooter as opposed to paying a large fine later. It so happened Parking Enforcement pulled up right after we sat down so I had to go ask if we were right in paying four separate times instead of grouping us all in one. He said that He saw us parking and came by to commend us on figuring out that we had to pay for parking each individual scooter for most folks don't. So if you do Park don't forget that tip. We rented 12 mopeds and he made sure we were all set to take the cruise down Ocean Ave. We had a large group so the staff was very patient with us and before you know it we hit the road. Horrible service. Was given an offer (which was cleared by the main office). When we got down to the shop, the agreed-upon price, rental hour limit, and the customer limit (one two-seater vs. two one seaters) were altered. No apologies were offered and the manager refused to look at me when I was speaking to him. We were looking for a leisurely afternoon (I lived in SoBe and my friend was visiting) and not an opportunity to pick a fight, but the shop just left us with an unpleasant aftertaste.
