They were right around the corner from Ocean Dr. They had decent rates and specials if you rented multiple scooters. Our scooter wouldn't start after we at at some restaurant so we walked to the show to let them know. They told us all we had to do was call and they would have come to us so we didn't have to walk. He told us he'd give us a new scooter and he'll deal with the other one. He seemed really concerned we had to walk, but we assured him it was ok because it was only a few blocks. That was really awesome and that made me want to tell y'all about it! Our flight left at 7 am but they didn't open until 10 so they let us park our scooter on the street and leave the keys in the drop box. I really appreciated the helpfulness and flexibility of the staff. The first guy who checked us out gave us some clubs to go to and some ppl to mention if we want to get in for free. It cost $60, and the scooter came fueled up, so no need to fill it. There's a $200 deposit, which you lose if you return it even a minute after 2 hours. No games, no haggling, great prices, they are happy to rent you a scooter, and if you need help, drive right back and they will gladly help you. We had such a wonderful Mother's Day with all the beautiful Moms, Dad's, children, singles, and more. The Miami Police are so amazing because they just want you safe and sober as you ride. They kindly ask you not to be dangerous and they make sure you are having fun! The manager is from Argentina and he's so kind! I loved working with Miami Beach Scooter and there are two huge parking garages to safely park your car. We saw people parking a Lamborghini, and a Ferrari to rent scooters. I will ONLY book from this scooter company any and every time i come to miami. My birthday weekend was amazing. It happen to also be super bowl weekend so the entire city was chaos. His prices were unbeatable. And the scooters were great quality. One of them had a small battery problem, when we called to report it he promptly got our address and brought us a new scooter in less then 20 minutes. We had them 4 days, never needed to re gas them. We call to see if there were any other options besides all day rentals, and there are. For $35 you can rent for two hours which was perfect for us because we only had two hours to kill before going back to the airport. We got a nice scooter with a phone holder, and it was just really fun to drive around South Beach. Now that we know they are there, we would definitely rent all day next time. read more

Don't deserve any gold stars, not even a pity sticker. They are all smiles in the beginning and lure you with paying cash by saying they won't charge you for tax. You must bring a CC for some kind of security deposit (ok--reasonable). Yep. All smiles until you inflict some minor damages to the PLASTIC part of the scooter (which they probably just used duck tape to fix it up) and then they try to rip you off by saying you owe 600 bucks... Then after some debate (with a mechanical engineer, mind you), it turned into 400. All the while, the people behind the counter whisper, snicker, and just laugh, in their foreign language, at how dumb us tourists are because they KNOW they are charging for a RIDICULOUS amount for something that's so easily fixed. Yep...and don't forget they have your CC on file-- so you're screwed! :) I don't recommend, EVER. read more

I recently came into possession of a 2001 Vespa ET4 150 that had been sitting around collecting dust for years with only 300 miles on it. I tried to get it back to being roadworthy through the local dealership, Vespa Miami, here on the beach. Their original quote was over $1200. I figured with this much work being done, they'd be willing to negotiate a bit. Try as I might, they wouldn't budge much and flat out refused to let me speak with the owner. At this point, I no longer wanted to give them my business. I found Beach Scooter through a modernvespa.com forum post. I called and spoke with Sagi (the owner?) and he was very pleasant. I told him all the work that needed to be done and he quoted me $900. He used original Piaggio parts (like the dealership would have) and I have no complaints about the workmanship. She ran like a champ until... Today, a couple weeks after I got her back, the engine died with no warning while I was out. Sagi answered the phone and had me bring her to the other location on Washington Ave. because it was much closer to where she died. I walked her over there and left it for a couple hours. It was determined that the ignition coil had died. This wasn't even part of the original repair, but they replaced it for no charge. I was back on the road a couple hours later :) Excellent customer service for this very satisfied customer! read more

This is a review for the repair services and mechanic. I've had a Vespa for about 3 years now, and my old mechanic seems to have closed up shop, or moved from Miami. I was on the hunt for someone to handle maintenance and basic repairs. I ended up choosing to bring the scooter in here. They did a good job on the tuneup and oil change, the cost was slightly more than my other guy but not too bad. They told me I need to replace one of my tires soon, so they obviously checked things over. I'll be back for my next oil change and to get a new tire. Thanks guys. read more
