All of the aides were wonderful and caring. There were occasions where an aide was delayed in showing up for her shift, but the agency was always accommodating. They either were able to send another aide or the aide that was there stayed on. We were never left alone. The agency was always reachable to handle our questions and concerns. As part of their service, we received a visit each week from a nurse who held our hand through a very difficult time. And she was always available to talk to if we needed her. This was our very first experience with a home health care agency, and I'm happy to say that it was a good one!

This agency is terrible. What made me so mad initially is that they accepted our case knowing full…read morewell they could not properly staff the weekend shift, which wasted at least 8 weeks of my time. Things went south quickly, and they kept asking for more time to remedy the situation. Over that time, they kept sending multiple people here (instead of one consistent person--not good for a dementia patient). I spent weeks training new people over and over again. If I have to come here every weekend, what's the point of using their agency???? I understand it may be hard to staff on weekends--but then don't accept the case!!!! It was constant mayhem with this place. No shift coverage, improper supervision and follow-up, sending random people to my house without telling us beforehand. I wasted so much time trying to make this situation work. The last straw--they sent someone over who had been here about 3x, and she made salmon for my Mom. This is a pic of what 'one of their best Aides' tried to serve her. Then the Aide lied about this incident TWICE: first telling me my Mom didn't eat because she was not hungry. Then telling her supervisor the food was not burnt. I had to send the supvsr this photo and the text msgs where the Aide admitted to serving this and apologized to me. And guess what--THEY KEPT HER EMPLOYED THERE!! My friend there confirmed it. They just look for bodies to send to your home so they can make their money. They do not care to properly train OR pay these people, and that's why the care is so shoddy and inconsistent. I worked in healthcare for years and I will tell you-- This place is a nightmare. They do not care about patients or their caregivers. DO NOT USE!!

At first, the place seems amazing: clean, friendly staff, consierge, bakery. But two weeks in, you…read morerealize your loved one is sitting or lying down 23+ hours/day, with less than one hour of PT a day, and nothing on weekends, without enough staff, and horrible family communication ....unless the patient is capable and motivated, they are getting weaker. So at week 3 we tried to take our sister out, and they blocked it with every delay tactic they could. Our assessor needed an appointment. One was given, only to arrive and find out they were all busy in a case management meeting (apparently they do this tactic all the time), and the next available appointment was in five more days. Even the MD agreed she should be discharged. She had fallen twice, with no supervision. Several staff members pulled me aside to tell me to get her out of there, she was in danger of breaking another bone. Finally, after forty phone calls (nurses station never available) and threats and emails to the social worker, she was discharged and now has 24 hour care, which is a much better/safer option. I'll never use rehab for her again, and certainly not Excel. This appears to be a business plan to KEEP BEDS FULL. Even if there are better choices for the patient. KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES AWAY!
