Dr Scott Lee is an outstanding skilled surgeon and all around kind and compassionate doctor. My sight was minimized by eyelids as result of aging and gravity and residual facial paralysis. Having completed my surgery and post-op recovery was successful, I can now fully recommend him if you need a blepharoplasty work. He is well experienced with a diverse and multicultural clientele... though my favorite reason for choosing him is his experience with Asian eyes. He gets it. He understands the shape of an Asian eye and able to apply it to his exact shaping and measuring for surgical change to surgically ensure your eyes to match your face; especially Asian. Another doctor of mine even told me that Dr Scott Lee teaches at Stanford other doctors how to consider the Asian eyes. If he is the Master Jedi, then you know you are in good hands! I suppose you could say he has an artistic ability to use his surgical genius to provide his doctor services. He speaks gently and softly. It is soothing and reassuring. He is also confident so you know he's-got-skill! In my pre-op, he is patient and walks you through all the considerations and possible challenges to the procedure. I have many health issues to be careful with. His staff worked closely with my pcp to clear me for surgery. His office is a well-oiled machine. Each staff seem to have their job to do and they do it well. Another note Prior to my bleph, he drew his surgical incision draft with marker. He understands how your eyes will close. It was not my intention to have double eyelids... I needed a lift because my periphery vision was impaired. However, Dr Scott Lee is SKILLED and was able to achieve beautiful eyelids for me. I am very happy with the results! The precision with his plastics craft is excellent. Often doctors who are especially good are snooty and act like they are a favor to you. What I enjoy and appreciate about Dr Scott Lee is that he is still humble and kind. He 'serves' you with dignity and kindness. Not like a speedy drive through or checkout stand but actually takes thorough time to converse and understand your needs. My very first appointment, he took a lot of care and time to listen thoughtfully. He even helped to schedule some of the testing to be completed together in my initial appointment as my commute to his office is over 3 hours round trip! That's right... he is worth it for me to drive three hours round trip to see!!! Back to his staff, they all seem very very young in age but they have been trained well as they are respectful and professional. When you arrive, you'll find that parking is convenient. There is lot at ground level with elevator access to the second floor where the office is entered through and outdoor hallway. And there is another parking lot at levels with the second floor is you don't like stairs or elevators. The reception area is big. Chairs all around the three walls with the fourth wall being the desk you checkin at. Each time I have been there, the room is full and the wait is long. One downfall of having a caring and take-time-with-you doctor is scheduling... seemed appointments ran long and late. One time I waited in reception about 20min then had a testing procedure w a staff person then put into a patient room where I waited about 45min. It's possible that I picked the most convenient time for me was also same for everyone else... but when I finally saw dr Lee, I can appreciate that he doesn't rush YOUR TIME with him. He takes careful and thoughtful time to listen you and explain things in good laymen's terms. I learned that he does pro bono non profit charity work internationally to provide surgical care for children in poor places. That's a stand-up guy!!! You won't have an inflated ego, just an honest, hardworking, CARING DOCTOR who genuinely seems to care for you! Obviously, some people take longer than others so I can see how the schedule can slip and get delays. At least the waiting room in the reception lobby is "interesting". There is a collection of varying style of art that appears to originate from multicultural or international travels. In any case, not typical like most doctors who have a generic print in a frame... the sunlight warms the room like a nice bright happy sitting space to enjoy different visuals of art. Great idea to "see" and appreciate different art around the world. I have no idea if any are famous but just mentioning as it was something I noticed and enjoyed. Speaking of international... the clientele must be quite diverse as the staff also are. I witnessed in my waits a different staff speaking in languages of Spanish, Korean, something else European or Middle Eastern sounding, etc. These "young" looking support staff know multiple languages! I highly recommend Dr Scott Lee for your optical; especially your eye SURGICAL needs!!! read more
