I actually spoke with the mechanic and he ended up giving me very helpful hints and a recommendation to a different shop for my specialized issue. Ok! How many people still have this kind of courtesy these days? I am going to their recommended shop, however, I most certainly will try them the next time I need honest help with a car issue. Over the years, as a female, I have had bad, over charged service and have learned to recognize a good shop that will help with one issue, vs. the places that do a diagnostics and suddenly have to fix everything under the hood. This sure seems like it is a Good Shop. They were helpful enuf to make me want to give a good review, so if/when I need a repair, I will post a follow up review. Stating that the front bumper would have to be removed to replace the headlights...I did my research because that didn't sit right in my spirit, and I ended up getting the parts myself and put them on and it took 25 minutes and $69...it passed today, no problem and I gave them a chance to explain, but it was BS. I hate giving bad reviews, but I feel they tried to take advantage of me, maybe because I'm a woman, or maybe because of my Trump sticker on my car, or maybe that's just their norm. Regardless, it breaks my heart because I always try to go to local shops and give them my money instead of big businesses, and as a single mom, I can use all the help I can get! (Couldn't we all nowadays?!) The only reason they got one star is because of awesome Briar, the young lady at the front desk: she is great!! I just think Leonard (who carries his little dog everywhere he goes in the shop) needs to put the dog down and find him another job and Dewitt's need an accurate, honest service writer. UPDATE: my dad went the same day and IRONICALLY was told his newer truck also didn't pass because, get this, his FLOOD LIGHT ASSEMBLY needed to be replaced! I took my 2007 BMW there for just a starter and for him to change a headlight bulb.. I asked Harold several times does he know what he is doing on a BMW.. he said yes several times.. when I went to pick my car up my headlight was hanging out but he swore he did not touch my headlight then said well you need a whole new assembly anyway.. also my steering wheel was taken apart because for one it was very noticeable and two every time I put my key in it would pop right back out.. also when I went to start my car it would start but would cut off several times.. I tried to start it in front of him several times while it was shutting off and he said "well I know how to get it started" he put his foot on gas and kept revving it up trying to keep it started and then he said "there you go it's started". On my way home around 4 pm rush hour traffic my car cut off 6 times.. had to keep starting it back up but had to keep pumping gas to keep it started.. I was nearly hit by oncoming traffic.. took it straight to someone else who had previously looked at it a day before I took it to Harold and he could verify that a "gasket" was ripped while he was trying to get to starter.. also he says that some screws were lost and replaced with some that do not fit.. also he said that the headlight was obviously taken out and was not screwed back in properly.. my car is still there. He is trying to fix what Harold messed up and this is really depressing.. I called the shop owner Howard and all he could say was Harold did not mess up my car.. I told Harold I would have to sue and he said " sue me then" keep in mind I have to fix new repairs that he messed up.. in my opinion I would not take any type of car here.. these people are liars.. the only reason I rate one is to post a review that don't have a rate option 0 Update.. it is now a month later and my car is still in another shop due to so many things that were either damaged or not put back right.. this has been one stressful month and a whole lot of money when all I originally needed was a starter.. I'm guessing that they didnt know that almost the whole car has to come apart to put starter in and the damages that they did to get to starter depressing.. I don't think the car will ever be the same.. I had no issues at all before bringing my car here for starter. The new technician is trying to figure out why he car cuts off randomly and is now smoking. I would not want this to happen to another soul.

Dale was behind the counter talking to a friend about his surgery and his health. I heard stories about his doctor, etc etc. I heard his friend talk about his health as well. None of these conversations had anything to do related to anyone's car or anything to do with business. I waited for 10 minutes, I was never acknowledged coming in or leaving. Very rude way to treat your customers. I spoke to the mechanics out in the garage, they said they were waiting on Dale also, to get their first inspection started. The lady I used to deal with here was awesome, but I guess she probably had sense enough to not work here anymore. Complete waste of time.
