Best CUSTOMER service in Smithfield . I called this morning desperate to have my car inspected . You see, I live in Eagle harbor and was threated to be towed in 24 hours unless I updated my November 23 inspection ( just 7 days late) to 2024. The staff was able to squeeze me in today at lunch. Had to wait 2 HOURS, what was told was only going to take 45 MINUTES. Cashier comes out says car failed, I need 2 front tires, and my driver side reverse light is out.. She already had tires pulled up( most expensive ones of course). I refused tires and her tone changed, told me it would be a couple mins then for mechanic to write up rejection sticker. 30 MINUTES LATER, mechanic backs car up to where I'm standing and tells me light isn't out but flickering. Well I ordered 4 tires, and after picking car up, mechanic said tires were low but WOULD HAVE passed inspection, bulb wasn't out, it wasn't pushed in all the way(flickering)... My windshield wipers ARE BRAND NEW! Just put on a week ago, still have box and receipt where they cost 58.00!! Won't be back! And they wanted to open a work order to find out why why the light was "flickering"... Their CROOKS! read more

Won't use this shop ever again. Took my 98' Cheerokee up to get the engine replaced after throwing a rod. Choose them because my AAA said they were an authorized shopped. That was a big mistake. They first quoted me $4,200 for the replacement which was not a big deal. They were actually the lowest estimate. Had the Jeep towed and though it would just be a few weeks. A month later they had still not even ordered the new engine. Claiming there was a number they needed off the block first. Every time I called to check in I was told they had to check and then never called back. When they finally ordered the engine they called to tell me they had a new estimate of $5,200 for the core charge of the engine if there was a hole in it and that I would have to pre pay $3,500 of the repair. I paid and then never got a called to tell me if there was or not. Almost another month later of no word I called to check the status and was told they had just pulled it in and it would be ready by the end of the week. Then the biggest shocker, when I go to pick it up Im now told the repair was $6,200. I asked them what all they did and they started rambling off "Oh we needed to do this and that" including replacing my TPS (which was just replaced a year ago) none of which I was informed of, none of which I authorized. All in all they did $1,000 worth of extra labor on the vehicle without even checking if I wanted done. When I complained about it their only consolation was "Well the old engine block is your if you want to take it home and tinker on it." Are you kidding me? You had my care for almost 3 months, did unauthorized repairs, and miss quoted me not once but twice and all you can say is that I can have the old engine block? I wish I could say they would be at least good for just state inspections but they even screwed that up. Rather than call me to tell me that I needed work done to pass they just did the repair and then didn't even tell me the right repair. They said they replaced the brake light but really they replaced the brake lamp. Completely different repair and a difference of a $5 bulb over a $50 lamp. Not only that, but they scraped the parking pass to my apartment complex off the windshield and didn't say a word I just saw it when I got there, and you can't tell me it was illegally placed because its been there for almost 4 years and every other inspector has left it alone. My advice, drive the 20-30 minutes to another garage. These folks can be trusted and treat you like you have no clue what you are talking about then take you for all the money they can. 3 months and and extra $2000 dollars from the original quote. To the owner of the F-150 4-door with the license plate COF AUTO, this morning (November 29th), you decided to flat out ignore the school zone on Brewers Neck Rd, ride on people butts, and weave in and out of traffic like a maniac almost hitting my pregnant wife with a 2 year old in the car. We usually support small businesses but we will not give you any of our business. If you use your vehicle to advertise your business, you might want to make sure you drive in a friendly manner, or at the very least observe a school zone.
