First time at Scott Gertner's Rhythm Room and I must say I had a grand time and will be returning! I got invited by a friend for new artist Wednesday, one of the artists she's managing performed! And honey Mallory put on a show! We also got to hear a performance from Charlise, who put on a great show as well! The host was Mrs. Kollett and she is hilarious!! She is seriously talented, engaging, and welcoming. An entire vibe! She knew how to interact and work the room, a crowd pleaser if you will! Happy hour is every Wednesday and Friday from 7-8pm and every Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm. Select drinks and bites for 7 dollars each. Service was slow, but steady as the servers had several tables to attend to. Rhythm Room has a speakeasy feel, with intimate and sophisticated vibes. We decided to check out the live band at Scott Gertner's rhythm room on Saturday around 11:30pm. We did get there really late because the live music ended at midnight so we were charged $20 per person for the cover charge versus $40 per person. I personally think even the $20 per person was expensive so I'm not sure it's something we'll attend again. We were able to pick our seats and catch the last 30 minutes of the show. The band was pretty great and very engaging with the audience. It was about 25 of us in there but it was a good show overall. It was very cold in there but I survived. The menu looked decent and the drinks were fairly priced so I opted for a mocktail. Our waitress was sweet and took care for us even though we were there for a short while. It certainly appeals to an older crowd, but it was a good time. read more

The Buffalo wings were awesome. I order mine extra crispy with sauce on the side. The wings by themselves were awesome. 2 People i were with stated their fried pork and chicken sandwich were good and Mac and cheese. The furniture sucked and space ambiance for the price you pay doesn't match and the weak ass drinks is cause for the lower marks. Basically an old dive diner furniture. The tables were pre-assigned and if there are unreserved tables, you can change your table. Evelyn Rubio performed. She did well. She got people on the small dance floor. The place was 95% full by the time the band started. FOOD AND DRINK: Bin 27 Port - 4/5 It's served warm and not chilled. It's a semi-sweet red wine. Lemon Drop Martini - 4/5 Sweet and couldn't taste the alcohol. Popcorn shrimp - 4/5 Served very warm with a spicy dip. Bread pudding - 4/5 Served very warm. Different than what I'm used to but it was good. Had 1 small strawberry sliced and some whipped cream. Their prices for wine were pricey. A glass might be the cost of a bottle at the store and their bottle was 4 times the cost. Service was good. The waiter was nice and checked on us multiple times. The wait time for food wasn't long. The crowd was between ages 40s to 60s. A few looked like they are in their 30s. Their dress code is business casual but I'm not sure it's actually enforced. Majority of folks were dressed up in nightclub and business/smart casual attire. But I did see a few wearing sandals and a t-shirt. My girlfriends and I went to Sunday Funday and had so much fun. It was a great time had by all. We reserved a VIP table for 7 which was paid for in advance. When we got there, reserved signs were on the tables. We had good seats up front. They also have a large outdoor patio area which was nice. We took pictures out there. I love that there was free parking right there at the building. No issues finding a spot. The drinks and food was good. I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea, which wasn't watered down. I never heard of or tried fried deviled eggs with shrimp before, the server said it was their most popular menu item. So, I decided to try it and it did not disappoint; very tasty. I also had the dirty water gumbo. There wasn't a single complaint from anyone in my group about the food or drinks. The only thing I could complain about was our server was MIA sometimes but the place was packed and she was very busy. The music, singers (Melanie Covington & friends), and band were phenomenal. We ordered buffalo wings, a steak sandwich, bacon wrapped shrimp, pork chops with sides. Everything was slightly missing seasoning. Cooked to perfection but need a bit more flavor. Afterwords, we had drinks that lacked alcohol big time. With the prices of food and drink I expected more. The live band that night was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. Came here for a couples date night out on a Saturday and had an amazing time. The space is small if you're thinking about coming to dance but they make the space work. We had reservations and you need to pay $20 each person upon making your reservation. There's plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center. They have an outside patio and two full bars. The bathrooms were clean and there's a big mirror in the outdoor area of the bathroom for pics or to check yourself out. I ordered the fried deviled eggs and the rhythm room's trash. Both were good, the rhythm room trash had cabbage and the cabbage was amazing! There was a live band that night, Rick Marcel, and the band was amazing! First of all, I must say that the band that was playing this Wednesday was amazing!!! They were all talented, and had the whole audience having a party and having a blast! With that being said the drinks, and the food wasn't worth it, especially for the prices $15 for a margarita $29 for fried shrimp and fries. They charged $10 cover, which I understand when there's live entertainment but the food and drinks need a lot of work and even though it was a table of two, they charged gratuity automatically. Didnt like the dirty rice...but I like the cute flower in it for decoration. The greens had no seasoning so I sent those back. Seafood balls were pretty good. Side cars were on point! my issues are that I feel like you don't get what you pay for. Example: we paid $20 for entry, then there was a 2 drink minimum and 18% gratuities. i ordered the Monday red beans and rice but they were spicy and had a gumbo flavor. I ordered a frozen lemon drop but it taste like lemonade ($9.50 for a 8oz). I wanted water but the only way to get water with ice is to buy a bottle of water and then ask for ice on the side. Food, service and ambiance are all very much on point here! The musicians are top notch and definitely give you more than the worth of the admission fee! We had a party of 6 and we order lots of drinks (some good..others meh..all pricey $15-22 each). We ordered fried fish and the parm and garlic chicken tenders. All the food was fresh, hot, quickly delivered and full of flavor! No complaints in any of these critical areas. The one and only thing that left me wanting was the comfort of seating and unfortunately the small size of the establishment. When having live performances in a small area it can get overwhelming to the senses but if my seat is not comfortable and I'm squeezing into the space to eat and drink, I'm leas likely to remain and continue to enjoy the show and maybe even order dessert drinks and dessert! This was the Rhythm with No Room . 1st visit this past weekend for a bday party. The place has a cover charge but classified as a bar & grille. Strike 1. Strike too... Drinks were poorly made...Manhattan made me vomit in the restroom- along with the fishy cat fish. Told the waitress that the drink was clearly made with cheap liquor and that the catfish seemed like it may have been going bad- she looked at me and hunched her shoulders and continued to ask for payment. Great food, even better music, and great company! I connected with so many strangers through music; it was a beautiful experience. The venue is great for couples and is very intimate. You will get a great view of the stage no matter where you sit. Though seating is by reservation and required a $20 deposit per person. Drinks, food, and dessert are sold separately at the venue. I recommend mac and cheese and lamb for food. For dessert, the cheesecake and banana pudding were spectacular. Though one dessert is more than enough for two people. This is my new favorite spot in Houston, TX! I had an absolutely wonderful time! This place is perfect for the over 40- people. It's small, cozy, and has nice decor. I suggest you reserve your table in advance via email. Or, arrive early and get on the waiting list. I enjoyed the outstanding customer service provided by the owners, waiting staff, and bar tenders. While waiting on my table, I enjoyed drinks on the comfy patio which is located in front of the entry to the club. The entertainment was provided by Rick Marcel and band.
