Atlas Ultra Lounge was a random find on a weeknight when my friends and I were looking for after dinner drinks. The fancy dinner spot we went to let us down with bad music and horrible drinks and this spot made the night so much better. I got on Yelp and found Atlas which was a short drive from where we are. It is in a big strip of businesses that share a parking lot. This particular place offers valet but there is plenty of parking a short distance from the front. Customer service was cool. Our waitress checked in on us frequently and was really nice. It was karaoke night so there was a lively DJ that kept the crowd interested. It was a weeknight so we knew the late hour crowds were going to be light. The bar across from here had zero customers and were trying to get people in. Atlas on the other hand had a small, but lively crowd. The first thing that stood out to me was the large patio. It had alot of seating with a huge screen playing basketball. I would totally come back just for the patio on a gameday. Inside was a small space with a bar in the middle and a DJ booth off to the side. I will say the booths were super tight and was snug for the guys in the group. Our petite ladies fit in but felt it was a little restricting. The younger crowd around the lounge were sitting on top of the seats. I guess that's what the cool kids do. After paying outrageous prices for mediocre drinks at dinner, this place was very refreshing with good drink specials and drinks that were properly made. I took advantage of the gin and tonic special they had that night. The drinks came out in cool, light up glasses. We didn't stay super long but enjoyed the time we were there. Drinks were good and we got to shake our booties a little. I don't frequent alot of clubs or lounges these days, but I wouldn't rule out coming here again. read more

I literally just wanted to come here for the drink that had a mini Birkin inspired purse. I carry a micro hand bag every day and have a small collection so this was right up my alley. We were seated as soon as we got there and the vibe was great. I loved all the Greek paintings on the walls. Music was great. I loved all the photo opp places as well. The egg rolls were alright, it's kinda hard to mess up an egg roll. The drinks were definitely overpriced. The Birkin Pu$$y was just a plain lemon drop with a mini purse attached. The Polaroid drink was hella sweet, I couldn't even taste alcohol. We knew going into it that she drinks we wanted were going to be pricey due to the added novelty items but the drinks themselves fell short. Once we got there and got seated I ordered my drink because I knew what I wanted. I asked the waitress to come back when my husband got out of the restroom. She walked by us several times to go in and out of the patio area. They got a little busy but nothing crazy. After the manager saw us staring her down every time she walked by he came over and took our order and apologized for the wait. But after we got our other drink and food we had to wait to get someone's attention again just to check out. Celebrated a friend's birthday at Atlas and overall, we had a really good time Let's start with the only real downside--valet is mandatory since they block off the entire area, so you have to pay to park. It was $10, which isn't terrible, but still something to keep in mind. The weather was too nice to pass up, so we grabbed a spot on the patio and the vibes were definitely there. Our server was super sweet, but it did take a little while to get her attention since it was pretty busy. Not a huge issue though--other staff members were helpful whenever we needed something. Food? No complaints at all everything was good. The hookah was okay--we've definitely had better, but it still did the job. Brunch and culture mixed into one. The inside is a content creators dream. Beautifully and thoughtfully curated with vibrant urban art and decor. Even the restroom area allows for great photos and selfies. Our food was delicious. We ordered the French toast to share as an appetizer, the catfish and grits, and the lamb chops and grits. Both were done very well with a nice crunch to the fish and perfectly cooked chops that were tender and well seasoned. The sauce that accompanied both dishes were also phenomenal. The service was great as well. We enjoyed $20 hookah, $100 Moet/Chandon champagne as apart of the brunch specials. They offered a $5 French 75 but it lacked any flavor and tasted like a lemon drop than a French 75. Expect to pay the auto 20% as most of "our" restaurants charge no matter the party size. I had heard about Atlas for some time now, but finally got around to trying it for Valentine's Day brunch. Our server was super nice, providing some recommendations for what we should try and also being very honest about some menu items such as the red velvet waffles that had been sent back. The catfish and grits were so good flavorful and the texture of the grits were super creamy. The watermelon carafe mimosa (for only $15!) had the perfect amount of champagne to juice ratio. My friend ordered the cinnamon toast, waffles, and wings. I will say that the presentation of the cinnamon toast waffles looked a bit bland. It didn't look much different from regular waffles, but the lemon pepper chicken was seasoned pretty good. The place itself was decorated very nicely. The bathroom area looked like a Valentine's Day spread from Beyoncé's Renaissance album photo book with the huge horse coming from the grass wall. This place clearly does themes very well. After living in Houston for sometime now it's still surprising to me that places like this charge valet for a huge parking lot where I could easily access a parking spot myself. I went to Atlas for their Christmas grinch brunch that took place every Saturday in December. The decor of the place was super cute it really put you into the Christmas spirit, children were even allowed to attend. The food was tasty the pizza was fresh and tree shaped .and wings were smaller which I prefer. My waitress was very attentive and assisted us with placing our orders before last call in the kitchen. Came here on a Saturday night with my girls. The inside is actually very small, I was shocked. Just like the rest of Houston it's a section only kind of vibe but they do have some seating at the bar maybe if you come early. The DJ they had that Saturday was pretty good with his mix of Afrobeats and hip hop The bathrooms are gender neutral so both men and women stand in the same line to use the bathrooms, just a heads up if you're not comfortable with that. My friends and I recently visited Atlas and unfortunately did not have the best experience. We had reservations for 2:00 PM, but when we arrived we were told we still needed to wait in line with everyone else. That in itself wasn't a big issue, but we ended up waiting over an hour before being seated. Once we were seated, the service timing was also a bit inconsistent. Two people at our table received their food fairly quickly, while the rest of the table didn't get their meals until nearly an hour later. It also seemed like the kitchen may have been running low on certain items because portion sizes started to get noticeably smaller as the meals came out. I do understand that it was rodeo weekend and the restaurant was likely very busy, but it felt like management could have been a bit more prepared for the volume of guests. The food itself was average, though the prices were reasonable. The music and overall vibe were good -- the DJ played a lot of line dancing music, which fit the rodeo weekend atmosphere well. Unfortunately, after such a long wait and with everyone feeling pretty hungry, it was hard for our group to fully enjoy the experience. There was valet for $20 the stand is by Juliet so I wasn't sure if that was for the entire lot. The bathroom has good light and decor for a cute photo opportunity. Even though we didn't have a reservation, which is highly recommended, we were able to be seated in no less than 10 minutes. As soon as we were seated, we received service immediately, which we always appreciate. Atlas has such a chill, relaxed vibe, with great music and multiple sporting events displayed on the multiple TVs. We ordered their sliders plus truffle fries and chicken wings, which were a 10 out of 10. The wings were fried so crispy and were packed with a lot of moist flavor as well. Met up with some friends on a Friday night at 7pm while the happy hour specials were still going. We ordered tacos (jerk chicken was the best), pizza (chicken pesto, spicy honey, and truffle filet mignon were all delicious), sliders, egg rolls, and wings (.75 during happy hour) all food was delicious. Cocktails were just ok, I would suggest ordering your normal drink of choice. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side but they have a large patio. 3 stars because of parking and the service definitely needs work. Chile... where do I even start. Valet was the first red flag. It was $20, which is pretty standard, but the process was unorganized and confusing. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Then we made the mistake of going to the bar. The bartender was way more interested in entertaining men than actually doing her job. She definitely saw us... she just did not care. We stood there way longer than we should have while she laughed and chatted in guys' faces instead of serving customers. The ONLY bright spot was the front desk woman, I think her name was Shayla or Shay. She noticed we had been waiting and stepped in. She moved us to a table and made sure we got a waiter. That was appreciated. Our waiter was sweet, no complaints about her attitude at all. She just seemed really overwhelmed because we barely saw her after that. The crazy part is the place is actually very cute inside. The vibe and decor had so much potential, but the service completely ruined the experience. Came to this spot on a Tuesday, It wasn't crowded at all so I sat at the bar. The music was good, ambiance was nice, the hookah was just ok.

It gives a more restaurant vibe rather than a lounge or club vibe to me personally but I also believe it's because I went pretty early around 5:30/6 PM before any lounges of bars really get busy. Parking is $20 all day apparently which is unreasonable but the Staff was absolutely amazing! Our table stayed taken care of by not only the server but also the bussers who made sure our table never stayed dirty. The food was AMAZING! We got there for happy hour so .99 wings and $10 pizza was our choice of the night. That pizza was amazing! The wings were cooked perfectly...I would liked to have a bit more seasoning on the dry rubs but overall 10/10 for the food. The drinks were good as well! $3 house shots along with $9 French 75s. Pretty strong for the price! "Horrible customer service in the event of an emergency. This place is not equipped to handle emergency situations. Although the customer service was great throughout our dining experience of being there 3 hours, no staff provided any help when an emergency occurred. Thank God I was with a friend who help advocate for my needs and also asked for an alcohol pad to assist with nauseous and the waiter said there are none, then left. Every restaurant/business should have a protocol in the event of an emergency; especially an emergency/first aid kit which would include alcohol pads. For the ones unaware, sniffing an alcohol pad stops the nauseous until help arrives. The staff disregarded my concerns of food poisoning after eating their pasta and automatically assumed I was drunk and kept blaming the watered down mimosa w/ dusse as the reason. I'm 40, been drinking occasional for years, very aware of my alcohol tolerance and also work in the medical field. Paramedics confirmed I was no where near drunk and this must be food poisoning. I couldn't, stand, walk, nauseated , dizzy, headache, and blood pressure dropped to 90/60. I was immediately rushed to the hospital where I was treated, tested, low alcohol levels, and confirmed food poisoning upon discharge. At the very least, management should've gotten my friend's contact to at least check on me and make sure I was ok after discharge. Nothing! After spending $165 at this established, never again! Real emergencies happen and doesn't mean everyone is drunk! Do better and at least act like you care about your customer's well being! Horrible situation and experience. And for context, we arrived at 7:50pm and didn't leave until after 11pm. " read more

They falsely advertised a "Grinch Brunch." There was NO Grinch, and we weren't even given the Grinch menu unless we specifically asked. Misleading and deceptive. Now the service -- or lack thereof. Three people at our table and only ONE person received food. Her to-go order came out before any dine-in meals, and I never received food at all. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was FOLLOWED TO MY CAR over an alleged "open tab" that had already been paid by my friend. That was completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Our server was Lay, and she was the best! The food was also good. We had the fish and grits, 2 chicken Caesar salads, and chicken and waffles. No complaints. Very disappointing experience. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, but it took 35 minutes before anyone attended to our table. We eventually had to flag down a server ourselves because everyone else around us was being helped while we were completely overlooked. It honestly felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, no water was brought to our table until about 45 minutes after being seated, and the restaurant was not busy at the time. The server who finally assisted us seemed visibly annoyed to help, which only added to the poor experience. The food was good, but nothing exceptional -- definitely not worth the 1-hour drive we made to dine here. The biggest issue came at the end: the bill did not add up correctly, and we were charged significantly more than expected. We paid at the time to avoid creating a scene, but we will be reviewing and disputing the charge. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing visit. They have a flawed reservation system as by 7:00pm when I got there all the tables were occupied. The host gave us no real explanation but I didn't make a big deal we just sat at the bar.(Be warned they charge a "delivery fee " to all of our tabs) They have a really great happy hour specials lemon drops were $6 wings 75 cents (each) $3 shots. All the servers and bartenders, especially Jasmine, were really nice. I enjoyed my fried chicken tacos, however the Cajun ranch wings were not enjoyable. My friends also tried to order hookah in which we were told they ran out? Huh? It's 8:00pm on a Saturday night and you have no more hookah?! Again no clear explanation from the host. As it started getting later more people were arriving with clearly no place to seat them. A group of like 10 people were just waiting by the entrance for awhile. We arrived on time and were told because we did not confirm the reservation our table was given away and there would be a 45 minute wait. After reviewing the email, it does NOT state that we have to confirm the reservation after making the reservation. The manager stated "this is standard practice in the restaurant industry."
