Their staff may forget to put the appointment in the system after they have told you that you have an appointment and its all your fault. If this was not right next to my house and if Dr. Cohen was not so nice, I would have switched a long time ago. I wanted to trial my green card medical exam to see how it would turn out rather than waiting until…read morethe point I needed to submit my medical exam (i.e. work out if there are any unexpected surprises lurking that I should prepare to explain via my immigration attorney). I decided to come to this clinic based all of the amazing Yelp reviews. The clinic is conveniently located nearby the United States Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) offices in NYC. Finding the building is a bit difficult as it is a narrow entrance under an awning with no clear signage. Once inside, it is a generic lobby where you then need to direct yourself to the correct floor. Once on the floor, you need to go through a corridor through to the end of the hall to a locked door and get buzzed in (felt a bit weird as to why the door is always locked needing an individual to be buzzed in, might be because some people were not happy upon learning they 'failed' their medical exam and therefore might not get a green card?). The waiting room is spartan and has an annoying black and white video on loop. You will need to fill in a form then wait for around 30 mins for an interview where they will go through your responses to the form and ask clarifying questions. You will then get a blood sample taken. You will then provide a urine sample by going to the bathroom in the hallway unsupervised (the bathroom is very narrow, not very comfortable, looks like it hasn't been renovated for 30 years). You will then be asked to return to get a copy of your report assuming all the checks are fine. The following day (or whenever you end up visiting) you will receive a sealed, stamped envelope with the medical report contained within it along with an uncertified photocopy of the medical report. You will pick up the envelope from reception with no wait. It will be behind the desk. Overall, I am happy with my experience. A renovation to the offices would be nice but I suppose people don't go there for the decor.

Not once since I have been coming here for medical issues have I felt that I made the wrong decision regarding my care. I will say that there were times I did not agree or shall I say I was disappointed with the doctor treating me, but that was me just being human. Sometimes we just think doctors can fix everything and have all of the answers and we fail to remember that doctors are just scientists and sometimes just need to deal with the facts of the matter. Now I am sure that not every medical place is perfect but for me I have never had an issue here. As with every doctors office or medical facility you are going to wait. That is the nature of the beast. I would rather wait and have plenty of my time with my doctor than to be pushed thru like a herd of cattle.
